Breakfast was great and plenty of it.
We also had an evening meal, I had steak and it was ten out of 10.
The hotel/ bedrooms could use some TLC.
But afterCovid and hikes in utilities were lucky to have
Pubs available to us.

Great location, and friendly staff!
Lovely being able to take the dog on holiday with us, she was even cooked a breakfast sausage!
Our evening meal wasn't the best, but breakfast more than made up for it
Beds were very creaky, could do with new ones

Although small, the room was comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. The bed was comfortable and warm.
The rooms are upstairs and quite steep. Carrying the bags upstairs wasnt easy..... mind you, I had been up all night on a flight and was very tired!

Excellent breakfast, cooked to order, plentiful, more available if wanted.
Good home cooking, comfortabl;e bar and dining area, good selection of beers and lagers, Steak and Kidney pie was exceptional.
The only criticism, which isn't so important, is sauces in sachets but we understand why!

Breakfast was excellent, tables nicely laid up already with a jug of juice. Very nice bread used for toast . Eggs perfectly poached, nice quality bacon and sausages.
We arrived on Sunday afternoon and had a really good meal in the restaurant. Service was efficient and friendly . Very good prices
Bed was a little hard for me, but that’s personal taste and I’d stay again

Simple accommodation that has everything you need for a short stay. There were nice little touches like biscuits and a little chocolate on each bedside table. The staff are very hospitable and helpful. A very good breakfast, accommodating vegetarians, was included. We had drinks and dinner there too - all good and homemade. Value for money was excellent.
The mattress could have been more comfortable.

We loved everything, there was nothing to fault at all.
The reception process was speedy and efficient, and it was great that arrival can be from 1pm onward.
The road-facing room was plenty big enough, clean, and well serviced, the electric fan was also a welcome addition when it was stifling outside.
Though our room was roadside we were not troubled by noise.
There was plenty of parking, out-front, and down the side to a larger parking area. This is more convenient if, like me, you don't travel light, as there may be steps and stairs to negotiate with heavy cases.
The breakfast on offer was full-English, with all permutations in between, e.g. poached eggs on toast etc. Cereals and fruit juice, and a pot of fresh coffee were also provided. All beautifully cooked with fresh produce.
The food menu was very reasonable, with good offers on the 'Specials'. You can eat in, or outside at tables in the large garden.
We'd had a poor recent experience at a pub B&B in Porthcawl, where we felt like a necessary inconvenience, The Haymaker was the total opposite, and we can't wait to go back again. (hopefully not in 34 degrees centigrade heat!)
