Nothing, it was all good.

The High Man: The bed was super comfy, the room was better than expected! The whole experience was really good!
We stayed in the High Man, the room was amazing, however, up until 11pm you could hear staff talking below your room with the radio on whilst shutting down the restaurant. You would hear loud clattering of cutlery and drawers shutting. Not ideal when you need to get a good nights sleep before a big walk the next day. The walls were super thin and the stairs leading up to the rooms were really creaky and you could hear when people would walk up and down them.

Great stay, staff were v friendly and breakfast lovely and plentiful. Shout out to the homemade black pudding by Ellie, delicious 😋 Pete was great host and bartender. Owner v friendly too. Views phenomenal, so peaceful. Will def return. 👌
Nothing. It was perfect.

The location was very good, just outside Keswick. The setting is lovely, food in the evening was amazing!! Along with Pete the host he couldn’t do enough for anyone and was very friendly and chatty. The room was very comfortable with nice little touches such as biscuits etc
The bed was a bit soft which meant we rolled into the middle..

Could not fault the service, including them accomodating our very late check with no issues.
Room was very clean and well equipped for our one night stay.
Excellent breakfast cooked to order.
Bathroom in our room worked perfectly, but was showing some signs of its age and is maybe due a refresh

The hotel is set in a lovely picturesque and quiet location. It was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. The host is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is tasty and of very good quality, with plenty of choice. The restaurant and bar looked very nice. However, we never used it, as we went into Keswick instead.
The drive into the hotel is a very sharp turn, so you have to be very careful to swing far enough out to make the turn. Care is also needed when pulling out the drive, too, as traffic travels quite fast along the main road, and there are blind spots.
The ensuite shower in our room was lovely. However, it was really small and felt a bit claustrophobic. There was enough space for an oblong shower tray, so it was a bit odd that they hadn't installed one.
Our neighbouring guests were elderly and a bit hard of hearing, I think. The adjoining wall was quite thin, and their noise travelled into our room. We were woken up really early with the sound of the shower, hairdryer, and TV. Maybe a sign in the hotel asking guests to respet other guests by keeping noise down to minimum would be a good idea.

Location very good,
The food was excellent
The staff were very helpful and obliging
Good atmosphere and great value for money
Only downside is the drive entry to the property can be awkward depending on the direction of approach

Everything! Great attentive staff, lovely food well presented, wonderful room, and just an all round homely atmosphere about the place. Car charger also a bonus! Will be back for a break in the future.
Nothing really.

Fabulous stay at the Ravenstone Lodge. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside and we enjoyed the short walk from the hotel to the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, past the quaint St Bega’s Church. Our rooms in the hotel were nice and comfortable. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent, I particularly loved the drop pancakes for breakfast and the Ravenstone Gin! The staff were also really lovely and welcoming, especially Brett and Andrea who couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you for an amazing weekend break.
Nothing.

The location - at the base of Skiddaw and looking across to Bassenthwaite Lake - is amazing. It's a perfect base for gentle ambling and/or 'proper' walking. We did both. The atmosphere around the hotel is very relaxed and the staff are fantastic. Plus, the food is amazing. One of our party has a dairy allergy. It's often an issue at meal times and her choice of food is generally very restricted wherever we stay/eat out. Not here. Nothing was a problem and chef amended the dishes so she could have almost everything on the menu. He even created special desserts (not just your usual fruit salad). We've stayed at 5* hotels where they haven't done that. So good that we booked another weekend before we left! Can't recommend it enough.

Excellent service from the moment we walked in the facility.
We were given a tour of all the facilities. The rooms are spacious yet cosy with amazing views.
The food was incredible. I had the pork belly and would highly recommend.
Nothing bad to say about this place.

upmarket B&B with a gastro bistro converted from old stables. Authentic.
Ample spacious parking
no sound insulation. Felt like I was in the room with an amorous couple🤔
Nightmare angled turn into driveway from Keswick.

Received a very warm welcome; all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. Good location.
The room we stayed in was a little “tired” although comfortable. (It was the only room available at the time of booking).

The hotel was lovely and the staff were amazing from the minute we walked through the door, making our experience at the Ravenstone lodge very personal and special. I can't remember his name sadly, but the south African gentleman who greeted and served us was absolutely fantastic. The food was Outstanding! we couldn't have been in better care and will definitely be returning here. Thanks to all of the staff.

could be a little more hi-tech e.g. usb sockets available.

Couldn’t fault this place at all. Brett and Pete were extremely welcoming and accommodating. As was the lady who served breakfast(sorry didn’t catch her name). Couldn’t thank them all enough for everything over the few days we stayed. Hats off to the chef. The food was exceptional. We ate breakfast and dinner and would happily do so again. It’s a lovely little place in a great location with Bassenthwaite lake around a 20 minute walk away. The start of our Hike to Skiddaw and Dodd was on the door step which was perfect. Binsey was only a 5 min drive away. The room was a decent size and the beds were super comfy! We’re already looking for when we can book again!
That we couldn’t stay longer!
