Based on locatiin and criteria asking for waterfront view i was told this could be accomodated in emails. I did not get a water view. The phots taken with wideangle of rooms. The space betwwen bed and wall in not accessible. The parking offsite and price was hidden..every one else clearly states. Was told on arrival if i left my car to unload lugfage i would get a council ticket. Waste of money. Tiles coming off shower floor very groutii.

you changed the name of hotel without notifying me therefore losing an hour driving around in circles looking for the hotel which in turn made us late for our 5:30pm event - requested twin beds non smoking then received a room that smelt of smoke then got move to a “family” room which turned out to be 2 singles made into a king bed by this stage we were already late so just gave up

Restaurant was dark and dirty. View from room was a brick wall (with a neon light at night). Tv kept turning on all night. Bed kept splitting in half.

As above - the breakfast area is way too small. I am a IGH member and was told I’d get two water bottles (which were not in my room) delivered but it didn’t happen

The run down room, the hair on the floor and in the bathroom, the mould in the bathroom, the left-over cosmetics from the person before us, popcorn under the table, false eyelashes in the bed.

The location was great, handy to where we needed to go.
Value for money was terrible. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in the room, we were supplied with 1 x small cap of milk and 3 x tea bags and 2 x mugs for 2 nights with nothing to wash them.
We requested additional milk on the first night and was given 8 more tiny caps of milk, these barley are enough for 1 cup each
The next day we left for the Taylor Swift concert around midday, I specifically asked staff at the front desk if we could please have fresh towels and have new mugs and 4 in total (one for each of us) some more tea bags and some milk.
When we returned at about 1:30am after the concert there was a pile of wet towels left in the middle of the bathroom by a staff member who had come in the room I’m guessing during the day. There were no additional mugs (the two we had used the night before were still in the sink) there were no more tea bags provided and no more milk. I don’t believe this is too much to ask and not the best way to come home after being out for over 12 hours, retuning to just wanting a shower and a cup of tea.
In addition I wish I had read the fine print that parking was not located on site, I have never experienced this before and to be honest would never return for this reason alone.
In addition when I checked in, the staff member at the front desk took my number plate and told me there would be no issues and carpark charges would be added to my bill.
We didn’t take the car out of the carpark in the two days we were there. When I checked out I was told there was nothing owing and I returned to the carpark, when I went to leave the carpark the exit gate showed I owed $137 (roughly) I tried to call the hotel to let them know, however a nice man in the car park came to see what was happening and kindly helped me. He phoned the hotel and let me know this has not been charged to my bill yet and then requested it was.
The overall experience was not great, was over priced (I know it’s Sydney)

We booked 2 rooms.
Breakfast was included in one of the rooms but not the other. That’s what we booked.
Paid individually for the room not included in breakfast option. $19.95 per person. Great array of food first morning.
2nd day 5 of us left early so requested breakfast box. It was dismal. $19.95 and it included a very small packet of muesli, small milk, 200 ml juice and 2 small very tasteless biscuits. Very very poor for the cost.

Room was unclean and didn’t feel like it was worth the amount paid for it.
The bathroom had bleach marks in the shower where they had tried to clean but obviously didn’t.
The toilet and shower looked dirty.

The staff took our personal face towels on the second day. We reported to the manager immediately but we didn’t get our towels back when we left the hotel on day 6. Very disappointed.

First room had stairs unexpected with no handrail which was unusable for husband but staff did move to another room to accommodate us.

The breakfast was excellent, one of the best! Loved the service at front desk as well, especially Rosie who was very helpful. There was an issue with our room deposit but she advised us how to resolve it and the issue was resolved quickly. The water pressure was good. Towels were clean and could be changed daily on request. We could get filtered water from the gym although its a bit of a hassle.
Bed and pillows were too soft. There were steps inside our room on Level 1 and it was so inconvenient for my elderly parents and aunts. We requested for a change of room but were told that we had to pay more for room upgrading because our twin rooms were not available. Bottled water was provided on some days but not daily, and even though we signed up for membership because we were told this would allow us to have bottled water daily, we didn't receive this benefit at all. Towels were sometimes not provided in the right quantities.

Great location to get to by car. Easy, reasonable and convenient parking. Always clean. Staff friendly enough upon checking in.
Unfortunately we had no tea, no tissues, no spoons and the most awful part no hot water for our entire stay. Very unfortunate when this is our usual go to accommodation, very disappointed with this stay. Staff didn’t seem to care about any of the above issues.

Room was ready early. Bags were held both before check in and after check out. All four of us were given room keys. Room was spacious. Bathroom was spacious. Room was very clean. TV was easy to use. Fantastic location.
It seems Booking.com didn't tell Holiday Inn we had late check out, despite our booking and confirmation email stating we did, as staff started calling our room to ask when we were checking out, and the cleaning staff tried to come in while we were still there.

Location
We had no hot water in our rooms to have a shower during our stay. When we mentioned this to the staff they dismissed our concerns. We paid for breakfast and the hotel was unable to provide this on the second morning and we were not refunded. We were overcharged and have attempted to get a refund for that and the breakfast they couldn't provide but they are unresponsive

Hotel is located in the heart of the Chinatown & Haymarket with the range of restaurants and shops and is well connected, however it's still not noisy and you can have a good night of sleep. Most of the staff members are friendly and professional. Beds are fine with a choice of soft/hard pillows.

The general feeling is that the hotel was trying to save money in every possible way.
The kettle in the room emitted horrible chemical smell when I tried to make a cup of tea, there were no EU plugs or adaptors available at the hotel (not a must, but frequently available at other 4*). The room wasn't clean and I had to ask for a deep cleaning of my bathtub, which still had previous guest's long black hair and a layer of some slimy buildup. The windows were dirty, and the water was cold in the shower (I've been told it's for the peak hours only, but I wasn't lucky to have a hot shower during my stay), the tap was rusty and cracked. Despite the "green" policy of the hotel the lights are switched off automatically and you need to walk around the room and make sure everything is off, and you can't save water when you need to flush the toilet 2-3 times to get rid of its content. Breakfast wasn't great either, almost no fresh fruits and veggies and the rest of the food overcooked or blank. The only thing I enjoyed was the coffee.
