Hotel in great location well within walking distance of the town. Staff very friendly & helpful. Food was very good. Would definately stay again.

Really enjoyed Ironbridge ..Relaxing plenty of walks with amazing views... Water Rat Ideal location

Room was spacious ...comfortable ..Breakfast was very nice and plentiful ...Had an evening meal which was delicious ...Staff very friendly and professional

Pleasant and enjoyable

Room very comfortable with a good sized bathroom. Staff excellent. Food was very good but would have like a change of menu on our second night. We requested a ground floor room but the request was not passed to the Water Rat so we had 2 flights of stairs and a walk on the busy roadside before we reached the car park and entrance. Although this was the case we would visit again.

Bad customer service and would not recommend

The Water Rat looked nice and was easy to find.

I booked this property in error as had another booking for elsewhere already. I sent a message via booking. Com which was received by the hotel as they replied to me. I later had an email stating that they hadn't received my message and that I would have to pay full amount due to cancelling. Really dissapointed with this as it was an accidental booking, messaged straight away to inform yet still had to pay £135!!!

Very expensive for what it was and the management didn't keep their word.

The hotel looked very tired with some need for updating and painting. On arrival the manager took a Pre Approval £50 and I was assured this would go back on my credit card but they have taken £59 off my card and I WANT IT BACK. I asked for a quiet room and was put in the one closest to the road which was 1m away from my window.

Excellent, lovely short walk to iron bridge. Pleasant surroundings, Excellent food. Value for money

Fantastic breakfast with lovely atmosphere served by a very pleasant lady. ( thankyou for your at tention with a lovely smile!) Room was clean with fluffy towels. Ben matrice was a little too soft but we did sleep well. We ate in the River rat both evenings food was good quality. The second evening was very busy and service was therefore lacking unlike the Friday which was excellent. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.

Nice place to stay & explore the area, The staff were friendly & attentive especially the breakfast waitress.

We didn't get to sample lunch or evening meal! But next time we stay we will leave time to eat in the restaurant.

Very enjoyable.

Breakfast was very good. Staff helpful and friendly. Our requests for gluten free meals were well catered for. Location ideal with a nice walk along by the river.

We only had enough hot water for one shower in the mornings.

Really enjoyable stay.

We came for the 90th birthday celebration of our very dear friend and his family. The lunch provided was great, good choice on each course and the staff coped admirably to serve 25 of us. As we live a 7hr drive away we stayed on overnight relaxing in the beautiful room with cups of tea on hand. Breakfast the next morning was served by Sue, an excellent host, friendly and helpful she served us with a perfect breakfast. We hadn’t known what to expect of the Water Rat before we came but found it to be charming, comfortable and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

There was only one minor thing that could have been better and probably would not apply to many guests. As we had had a superb three course lunch we wanted only a sandwich or similar in the evening. However there was no option for this as sandwiches were only served at lunchtime. We had to wander into Ironbridge to find something lighter than what was on the menu.

Perfect location right on the River Seven in Ironbridge lovely little walk along the River through a park onto the high street of Ironbridge. Staff are very helpful and the breakfast was amazing service was excellent, we will definitely be booking again.

spacious rooms excellent beds and impeccably clean…. the staff at breakfast time were so helpful and friendly. great choice of food and a warm environment. ( it was minus 7c outside)….

nothing really, the short walk to the rooms outside was a surprise but so what.

The room was beautiful, very clean and smart. Really large too Loved the room the breakfast and the dinner. The staff were all so lovely and friendly. will definately stay again if working in the area.

Clean rooms with ample parking

The room was clean and tidy with the bathroom up a further flight of stairs. Lots of parking onsite and close to the centre of Ironbridge

The room was very close to two other rooms and the walls were very thin so could hear everything in the other rooms. The doors also closed quite loudly. The shower took a long time to drain away but the bathroom was nice and clean otherwise. No options other than a full English offered at breakfast which was a bit heavy but tasty.
