Enjoyable despite problems on arrival.

Location.

Scaffolding all around the building blocking the view. Wrong room allocated on arrival despite being booked for 11 months.

The Pier Hotel is superb! Wonderful staff, incredible food and fantastic location.

Fantastic staff, very welcoming and efficient. The staff really do make the hotel have a very personal feel for guests. Wonderful location right on the lovely sandy Gorleston beach. Immaculate room with a great view of the beach. Superb food, so delicious and beautifully presented, excellent value for money. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay

Ideal beach location and great hotel

Location is perfect if you want a beach holiday. Hotel was quiet at night and staff were helpful and room was very good. Food was available throughout the day to suit most tastes. Good value for money and a friendly atmosphere.

Only issue, as with all old buildings, was the creaking floors above and nearby at night.

I was put in a single occupancy room above the front door so got woke by everyone leaving and talking outside. The room

Very good

The hotel is gorgeous, decorated art deco style, harking back to the days of Poirot. The rooms were clean and my room was very spacious. All the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. There was a good variety at breakfast with all cooked elements freshly made to order. The beach is literally on your doorstep with an entertainment venue next door, an amusements arcade across the road, and plenty of wee cafes along the way. There is also hotel parking as well as street parking.

The room my daughter and I were in, room 108, was directly above the restaurant, which was very noisy late into the evening. In the morning from 6:40am, whichever room was directly above us, there was running water, banging and furniture being dragged across the floor for over half an hour both days we were staying there. The basin in the sink had an enormous crack in it, although the sinks integrity was not compromised. I had booked a sea view as I wanted to see the sunrise, however outside the window was a long, wide raised outdoor platform area which largely obstructed a large part of it, although you could see the beach further over it. If you can't use stairs, like myself, make sure to request a room no higher than the 2nd floor, as the lift doesn't go to the 3rd floor which is where my husband and son were, so I never saw their room.

One night to see Gorleston

A beautiful place, really comfortable and fab views. We also very much appreciated electric car charging facilities. And breakfast was great too!

Loved the location and hotel decor.

Neighbouring hotels noise, ibiza party all Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately nothing our hotel can do but it spoilt our stay.

Very pleasant hotel in a wonderful location.

wonderful location right on the lovely beach at Gorleston. Delicious breakfast. Very handy for the Ocean Rooms where we went to see a concert. Friendly staff. Room was quite small but had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable.

Lovely few days away

We enjoyed the location, breakfast and the friendly staff.

These things didn't spoil our stay butTV reception was poor making it unwatchable, and the Internet speed was slow (~2Mb).

Everything was lovely. Very welcoming staff. Food excellent. Location good for shops and entertainment. Good bus service into Great Yarmouth.

Can't get any closer to the sea.

Good size room, well equipped with everything we required. Bed comfy and got a very good nights sleep. Did wonder whether the seagulls would be noisy, but didn't keep us awake. Breakfast was superb. Got a table by the window with a view out to sea. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Room was a little tired. The electric heater looked damaged. The hotel car park was full although there are spaces in the very wide road out front.

Definitely staying again

Everything was perfect! We booked a Seaview room and it was Beautiful. Room was decorated to a high standard, and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice

great stay hotel worth the money but would ask for second floor if paying extra for Seaview

lovely clean big rooms,breakfast was amazing great choice, and the cooked breakfast was lovely.staff were friendly and also had parking at hotel

payed for seaview, was on first floor and the sea view was obstructed by railings solar panels couldn’t really see the sea.

Location, room equipment, breakfast excellent. The restaurant is perfect!

Upon arrival, the room was cool, only after 5-6 hours it became pleasantly warm.

Perfect seaside getaway

Great location overlooking amazing beach. Nice to be away from the noise of tbe usual seaside resorts. Small friendly hotel with pleasant staff. Rooms and public areas were kept clean and tidy. Nice size bedroom with comfy bed, armchairs to admire the view, plenty of wardrobe space as well as tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast and evening dinner cooked to order (just like home) good portion sizes. Very good value for money.

Excellent stay had a very reasonably priced hotel in great location, just a few tweaks needed

Food for both breakfast and lunch was lovely, location was very nice, we had harbour view which is great for us. Bed was really comfortable and very clean. Good facilities in the room ie, tea, coffee, biscuits.

The bathroom needed a bit of updating. Grout in the tiles was yellow, just needs a bit of bleach, also the seal around the bath on the floor was very grubby and the corners in the bathroom was also grubby. Although the towels were lovely and white and soft
