Hotel molto particolare e bello!

I heard about this Hotel from one of my friends a few years ago & being a huge Dracula fan had to stay.
The general look & feel is perfect until you get to your room, which is generally ok but things are broken, very outdated & definitely not clean to the standard a 4 star hotel should be.
The views are amazing & the duplex rooms are also amazing.
Firstly paying good money to stay at a ‘4 Star’ hotel surely there should be a 24hour reception staff, no these guys bugger off at 10pm. We rushed to get there - called ahead to ask what time close by restaurants close - Mihai (reception staff) told me 11pm - i drove 10hours and was told by him that if i did not get there by 10pm he would be closing!?!?! I just about got there at 9.45pm - my kids had not eaten properly as there was no option to rush. Once there we dumped our stuff & left for a restaurant nearby - 10.15pm & all the restaurants were closed - i had to drive 30 minutes back down the mountains to get food for my kids.
Back to the room - the safe was not working, the sofa was broken, there was no AC & only one fan, the room was sweltering & again the answer, sorry don’t have another fan! The room floor was generally dirty, and things dusty. Light switches not working, tv not working, had to physically trace the Ariel cable to find it was not plugged in! Curtains were broken, window latch broken, pipe access door missing in the main room - not even covered with cardboard or anything, very unprofessional.
My daughter felt sick that night, don’t know if it was the rush rush or the fact that she didn’t eat (7 year old) and was overwhelmed after eating etc - she felt sick on the edge of the bed & unfortunately couldn’t get to the wash room quick enough, my wife water washed the top cover & the duvet & as there is no staff we had to sleep in the condition. The upstairs sofa bed area has an additional seating area - with no curtains - how dumb could this actually be, so in the morning the light beams into my face waking me up, there should at least be a curtain or blind on this door!?!
The next day I told Mihai all my concerns, he came to my room after 20mins with all the safe keys apart from mine, how can this even be possible??

Hotelul frumos are perspectiva.

beautiful location, very kind and friendly staff
it has seen better days. bathroom would welcome a bit of adjustment, it’s visible that peak time of the hotel was some time ago but this should not stop anyone from visiting.

we liked the view of the mountain and the sound of howling wolves at night
don’t know where to start it was so so bad. we changed hotels!
don’t be fooled by the vampire theme - it’s basic and lame. this place is a tourist trap and the website is lies. none of the pictures are accurate - maybe once upon a time it was like the pictures but now it’s basically a 1 star hotel.
check in - no one was around and the whole place was empty.
our room was musty and had zero ventilation. no air conditioning and a noisy old fan.
no water in the room
shower head had to be held at all times when showering as it’s positioned too low and water pressure was bad
beds were terribly hard and uncomfortable - did not sleep well at all
the restaurant was not open for our stay
breakfast was basic and ok
there are no staff here - the place is basically shutting down and a sad sad existence
every local we came across was sad for us staying here and questioned why we bothered
they just don’t care anymore and I would AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
we moved down the road to a much better place for our last night

We changed the room from twin beds to a bigger one; the first room was small but the second one was great;

Amazing place, really enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. Room was outstanding.
Highly recommend.
The spa services were not available, which was a great shame as that was why we chose this location over another.

Staff nice and eager to help - reception, waiter,
driver.
small rooms, dark hallway, room, restaurant. Restaurant final order 19.30. pretty far from main gondola (even if driver available for taxi)

Its close to town and all the slopes.
Not many parking spots (snow took a few).

It was a good experience to feel like really living in a vampire castle. The staff are good and supportive.
Location far from traffic and noises.
The lighting was dimmed all time.
The annex building wifi wasn’t operational during our stay despite it was mentioned that it is available.

Staff, Fitness, massage, the castle (search for exits to get on the outside roofs), candles on dinner tables, warm in hotel and rooms.
Nothing particularly, but:
Staff was responsive and kind, but the atmosphere was kind of sad. No energy in the air.
Music in walls cand be a good idea, but sometimes worked, sometimes it did not or bad signal. There is volume and on/off buttons in walls for music but we were not aware about.

Poor breakfast. Unconfortable pillows. Dirty walls in the room. Ruster heater in the bathroom. Toilet too close to the wall, uncomfortable pksition.
