A wonderful hotel in the center with parking. Great staff and food and a fabulous talking parrot.

The hotel is really very beautiful. the staff is nice and helpful and smiling. The breakfast was varied and a large selection. I had dinner in the restaurant and the local fish and mussels, including Madeiran wine, were delicious. The room was luxurious with a balcony and a view of the garden and the ocean in the distance. In addition, they also have parakeets and a great talking parrot in a cage near the hotel. He was absolutely charming and not only talked but had a great laugh.

I liked everything here, so there is nothing I didn't like.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but we maybe just got lucky to get a newly renovated room.

Front desk stuff was very nice. I particularly asked for no stairs & no smoking room & we got a room on the ground floor which look like a newly renovated wing of the hotel. Room was very nice, looks newly renovated, very modern, clean, spacious, big comfortable bed, with all necessary details needed for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

First impression on the outside of the hotel, didn’t look so impressive, looks old & entrance was hidden behind the restaurant. Lobby looks dated & a little dim, but we love our room.

Nice hotel in Santana

Nice location and friendly staff,good breakfast.

If you are booking this hotel because of the swimming pool (or gym), keep in mind that opening hours are 10-12; 15-18. So, if you love swimming before breakfast. It's not possible. sauna and jacuzzi that are out of order. However, for the rest the hotel is good!

We used this Hotel for a stopover as we were up in the morning to do a Hike.

You heard noise next door and noise above the room.

VERY Noisy Dont Go

Convenient hotel to see North of Island

The hotel hosted a party with a DJ and very loud music which was heard tbroughout whole of hotel whiich went on till 1am .WE needed to sleep but couldnt..Wont stay here agaim .So this is a warning if you wish to stay here in the future

Vintage hotel with good location.

Location: Santana is a bit touristic but not too busy and has some lovely bars and restaurants. Central location for hikes in East. Breakfast was good (eggs, fresh fruit,..).

Rooms were a bit old fashioned.

Very tasty pastries at the breakfast. A nice view from the balcony. Altogether a cosy countryside feeling during our stay.

Super cozy bed, good value

The reception staff was friendly and efficient and the room was spacious and clean. The massive bed was very comfortable with cozy linens. Easily the best bed we had throughout our stay in Portugal. the attached restaurant was fairly good and the included breakfast was decent continental fare. We would definitely stay here again if we passed through Santana.

Perfect stay when in Santana.

Our bedroom was very clean and spacious with plenty of storage space. The beds were very comfortable and our bedroom had a balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. The bathroom was very clean and spacious with towels and toiletries included. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices including wholemeal bread. There is ample parking at the hotel and there is a good restaurant on site serving a wide range of local and international food. The location is very good with the tourist attractions within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Nice motel with good parking with plenty of space for improvement

Hotel is on a good location, with plenty of space for parking. Hotel has basic swimming pool, and nice terraces.

Our room had very small bathrooms with not enough space for legs while sitting on toilet. Room and bathroom should undergo general full cleaning regularly. Breakfast fast quite broad with horrible coffee and be careful to go early. Stuff do not refill and restock food so you have very limited options later because most of the food is eaten already.

Convenient location but old fashion hotel

- Location is convenient as it is located 10' drive from the hike Caldeira Verde

- Rooms were basic and the hotel old fashion - I could hear the person in the room next door was snoring - Breakfast is ok

overall our stay was okay,. our room was located near a noisy fire door which we herd opening and closing early mornings

The hotel was very basic but comfortable. The hot tub was not working and the pool was not very clean nor inviting. The town is lovely. Breakfast was also very basic. Overall we enjoyed the stay.
