Easy to find, fab location for the airport and a mid way stop from Northumberland to the Euro tunnel. Rooms are always clean and tidy and facilities are good
Nothing

Convenient location
Level of cleanliness was poor as well as it being very run down. The carpet hadn’t been hoovered in our room, bath was dirty and when speaking to other guests we weren’t alone in this.

Pathetic customer service!
Made booking through booking.com, booked for 17 rooms for a weeding in first week of May 2024. The hotel booking team made some mistakes at their end with the booking, charged for 3 additional rooms at the check-in time by mistakes, then they said sorry, promised that they will manually refund it with in days. Now in July 2024, contacted them by phone for few times for the refund, they said they will pass the message to their reservation, but nothing happened! Then send two letters with full details to them, but still no response yet! Now I think I have to complain my credit card for the refund!
What a pathetic customer service! At least respond to customer emails!

The breakfast was brilliant. The meat and vegetarian options were separate and variety to chose form.
The staff were so lovely, friendly, welcoming and accommodating.
The bed and room were clean and comfortable.
3.0
Location was good in relation to accessing the M1 and the surroundings was very quiet. The bar and areas around it were fairly clean and well laid out.
For a brand like Hilton, the furniture was very dated and basic. Carpets and chairs badly stained, bed should be replaced as it squeaks by just sitting on it. Pillows were very uncomfortable.
Shower area has signs of mold.
Paying for parking at a hotel is also very off-putting. Be prepared to pay 7 quids per night.
For 125 per night, I was expecting a better standard especially because it has the Hilton name.

Not value for money felt like a cheap hotel not like the other Hilton’s I stayed in more like a premier in
It was like a premier in not a Hilton

room was bigger than expected
We booked this hotel specifically to use the pool and on arrival we were told it was fully booked. When I asked the reception staff why it wasn’t detailed that the swimming was pre-book only, they were rude and couldn’t care less. Parking extortionate and honestly why am I paying to park in a hotel on the motorway that people are most certainly driving to. It’s a rip off. Hotel dated, drinks and food expensive and staff in restaurant rude

Quality of the hot food at breakfast was quite poor.

The bed made a noise each time you moved and very hard had no sleep all night

Reception was nice and big and spaces around were bright
The lack of clear maintenance
It’s a 4 star hotel so expected it would be looking more fresh, not modern per day but not run down, carpets not nice, pillows uncomfortable. Skirting boards dirty. Showers run down. Dusty items in rooms and could go on

Room was spacious.
The glasses weren’t clean. One of the glasses still had a lipstick stain on it.

The room was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed, desk and sofa. The bathroom was also clean and had a bath. All the staff were extremely helpful and polite.
The room was very cold. I put the heater on but the room did not get warm. The switch on the heater was loose and I did not feel comfortable leaving the heater on all night because of this. I was so cold I did not sleep well. Also, the shower head was so high up I was unable to move it. The water went everywhere except on me. It took a few minutes for the water to get hot. I was in a hurry to leave due to an appointment and did not have time to report the above issues. Room 219. I think this hotel looks a bit tired and in need of a refresh.
On other matters. When I arrived I was asked to pay for breakfast. I booked through booking.com and the booking included breakfast. The receptionist said she was unable to see this on her system. I had to log onto booking.com and screen shot the available rooms at the same price including breakfast. Had they all been booked up I would not have had any proof as booking.com did not include this either in their receipt. I paid £12 for breakfast but the receptionist said she would refund this. I haven't received it yet but I expect it will take a few days. Also on booking.com, there is no mention of parking at £7.

The room
The rat outside the hotel.
The food that was being served in the hotel dining room that evening, as it was very limited and when I asked about if there was a bar menu I was told there wasn't one for me only to see later other customers ordering off a bar menu.
3.0
Ample room with desk and lounge area.
A tad expensive.

Everything in the hotel was fine, understandable after all lockdowns they didn't offer all the menu in the lobby bar, but still they serve drinks. Thank you so much to the Housekeeping team /especially the lady who manage to do that/, I forgot a stuff in our room and they have been so kind to post me back. Really professional
The sauna doesn't work, as it's been under refurbishment, but I really can't understand all the hotels and leisure centers, why they don't use a year in lockdown to do so?

Everything
It was all nice
3.0
It was all very comfortable.
The staff were lovely but there were not many of them doing many jobs. For a group of us there was one bar person at the Langton and no one seemed to be at the main bar. Also on check in money was taken for breakfast and again at check out?

It’s difficult to like something that failed in so many ways
No hair dryer in the room
No hot water on 2 separate day
Sofa bed was a leather chair with a sheet put on it.
Family’s can’t use the pool until after 0900hrs
Beds were very hold and incredibly hard and uncomfortable.
Mould found on the walls in the bathroom.

The foyer was good, and it was nice to have a swimming pool

Clean. Tidy. Warm. Breakfast was good. Only suggestion might be a selection of herbal teas in the room in addition to the usual tea and coffee...

Dirty disabled toilet areas , when asked to clean area wasn’t cleaned on my next visit, stairway is not clean, bedroom curtain, mouldy, bathroom area, not clean from previous visit.

Space for work or relax in the hotel was excellent, as well as the staff in their customer care
Starbucks in the hotel was quite poor - cold unmixed hot chocolate. Mildly warm latte. Expensive food. Hotel is a bit tired. Very clean but it feels a bit stuck in the 90's

Spacious
My room smelled of poo and carpet was old. I was uncomfortable

Expected a double bed, not 2 singles pushed together

Breakfast and swimming pool were great. Size of the room was great.
Room was very tired and needed updating/modernising. Beds were uncomfortable. Not enough pillows or refreshments for the 3 of us.

Bit old fashion but clean and comfortable.
They charged me twice £183.21.
I have complained twice and they told me will get refund by Wednesday.

Easy to get to
Dirty towels in the bathroom when I checked in. & I was only staying for one night and had the cleaners trying to come in at 9am and again at 10:50 (check out is 12pm) I should have do not disturb sign on but I think it’s ridiculous that they keep trying to come in when I haven’t checked out.

I liked the large size of the room. The room was clean and spacious. It had everything you need from an iron to a safe (lockbox). I also liked the presence of a refrigerator. It was nice that there was a full-length mirror in the room, which was very convenient.

On arrival it almost felt like we were looked down at. I’m very unsure why.
Outside the hotel is very outdated paint peeling from windows, definitely not how the pictures show.
Window in hotel room had mould on it and water dripping on the inside, food was under one of the beds, bath was dirty around plug hole, stained carpets.
Went to bar to ask for some squash for the children got sent to the restaurant which was closed, a member of staff approached me and asked what I’m doing I asked for a jug of squash for my children, we got frowned upon and looked at us very confused. I just wanted a jug of juice, after about 5 minutes of explaining why I want juice someone got us some then said in a very snotty way “you do have to pay for this” yes I’m aware of that that’s fine I replied. As we walked of the lady and a male member staff stood there watching us and talking about us… like it was something weird to ask for?

The fact the property was close to the motorway.
The standard of the Hotel was quite poor, There was a damp smell in the staircase. The restaurant staff were not very approachable and service was ok. The chef felt he was doing me a favour to make an omelette which i had requested.

The staff were nice.
The room was damp, dirty and in poor condition. Carpets were stained, mold around windows. Bathroom was very tired and felt dirty. Very run down and in need of updating. For what we paid I was expecting a much better quality hotel. The photos on the website do NOT represent what is actually there. The staff were nice.
