Excellent location on the beach. High quality of food and services.
Belle Epouge atmosphere with modern facilities.
A bit expensive.

The place is so quiet and authentic.
The private beach was for extra charge. and this is the only thing that we didn't like about the hotel. As a private beach of a 5 stars hotel normally it is out of charge!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The view from our ocean side room was spectacular. The hotel had a feeling of old world style with modern friendliness on the part of the staff.

Historic hotel where Proust stayed every summer from 1907 to 1913, described in his 2nd book as The Grand Hotel of Balbec. We are big fans of Proust, so this was the main reason for the stay. Hotel is very nice, but rather expensive. Alas, Proust former room (420) was converted to a conference room.

very comfortable room
quiet location
on arrival , after a long day of travel (a Tuesday) we were told the dining room was closed and only bar food available and that there were no spaces for dinner on the following day.
As a so called 5* hotel I was astonished that residents were turned away from dining and also that there was no dining on a Tuesday.
I am a very frequent traveller and found this quite bizarre.

Pulizia camera inesistente. Receptionists incapaci.

Public rooms beautiful . The breakfasts are amazing . The location on the beach front perfect . Bedrooms spacious.
The hotel has been refurbished but still the leather headboard on our bed damaged and old . Cigarette burn on chair upholstery in room .Needs a little more focus on bedrooms to live up to 5 * rating .

The Grand Hotel is a clear reference in its category, the service is perfect, and the dinner in the restaurant of the hotel was excellent. A pity that COVID-19 and a fairly bad weather did not allow us to enjoy even more.
