We hadden een bed en hoefde niet onder een brug te slapen
Geen airco en erg vervallen.

Omdat mijn vrouw jarig was kregen we een gratis upgrade. Ik heb dus geen enkele klacht over dit hotel. Was echt heel erg goed. Vriendelijk, modern, schoon.

The rooms were plain and a bit aging, but functional. The pool area was nice. The trams very relatively near-by, but necessitated some walking.
Maybe I did too quick a reading of the description of facilities, but the fact that the bar was closed at a weekend and ladies' sauna out of order did come to me as a surprise. Given that I could not get the room type I had booked, I got one more room, however, it was not free of charge contrary to what I had been told. The access lane to the parking in the basement was so narrow and in a steep turning, that one of my car doors got scratched. I got advised to send an email to the Hotel's direction, which I did, but did not even receive a response. The cloakroom accessing to the pool were dirty, full of dirty towels and full waste bins.

Pretty establishment. It always smell good in hotel. Employees are very professional and nice.
Room is spacious for Europe standard. Beds were crispy clean and smoothly comfortable.
I enjoyed the pool and the gym too.
Water fountain to refill our bottles are very appreciated.
Elevator is so slow and small. There magnetic cards are old and we needed to change them 3 times while our 3 nights stay.
Pool was at 24 degrees celcius. I would prefer to relax in it at 30 degrees but it for the environment.

Good location next to park. Large parking
Slow lifts. One was constantly stuck and the operating one took few long minutes to come.
Setting the bed was not always done when leaving room after 10 am.

It was nice, it didn't meet All my expectations, but I liked the hotel. The people were nice and kind. The room was comfy.
Too small, it isn't the standing of a 4 stars hotel

BREAKFAST OK
PARKING OK
carpet everywhere, so entering the room you could perceive bad smells that didn't go away even by airing the room.
the toilet very small.

Nothing to note

This place far exceeds the expectations. The location is great and quiet, yet close to everything you need to get around. It does have a convenient parking which was great.
The staff is the gem of this hotel. Everyone was very professional, welcoming, genuine. I interacted the most with Nicolas who is simply awesome, was able to give reliable guidance, courteous, and super friendly.
Highly recommended facility and staff!

Location great. Room adequate
Bed comfy
No bar open
Restaurant was awful
Couldn't find staff when needed.
Not our best experience in a mecure whom we use often normally. We would not return here at all. Staff were not very helpful either
3.8
Quiet and peaceful
No toiletries supplied.

Not a lot to like! Does have secure underground parking
Showing it's age this is a very poor example of a Mercure. There is nothing but highrise apartments around it, the carpets are filthy, the rooms are cramped, breakfast is very poor and there are very few staff who struggle to raise a smile. There are a few Mercures in Grenoble, maybe try one of the others!

Really great welcome from Nicholas, who later helped us find a really great restaurant for dinner. The parking was secure, and right under the hotel. Everything you needed in our room. A good selection for breakfast.
We arrived on a Sunday and were looking forward to eating in the hotel restaurant. When we asked to book a table we were told the restaurant was not open on Sunday. Really dissappointed and think it should be made more obvious as to the restaurant opening times. We both looked at the site and could not find any mention of this. As it turned out this was a bonus. Nicholas recommended and booked a restaurant for us in the old town, Cafe de la Table Ronde. We had a wonderful meal and walk through the old town.

The hotel itself is clean, well situated (for us) and had friendly, responsive staff (not all English speaking at reception albeit).
What it didn't have was functioning aircon. We went to reception to ask if we could change rooms and were advised that there had been a general problem in the hotel with aircon all summer (notwithstanding that the aircon was working fine in reception and the common areas throughout the hotel). We were offered an alternative room but this had no functioning aircon either and we were advised that this was the only alternative free room in the entire hotel.
It was very hot and we probably had one of the most uncomfortable nights we have ever spent in a hotel. We rose early and left before breakfast. The morning receptionist expressed surprise that we hadn't been offered a room with functioning aircon and knew nothing about any general aircon problem. We asked about a discount for the inconvenience and were advised that this would be a matter for management who were not on site at the time (it was a Sunday morning). Unlikely we'll use Mercure Hotels again.
