Service somewhat disappointing

Great location very quiet, nice big rooms , good spa. The food at Bill restaurant was very nice

The service during the diner was not to the standard you would expect for such a place. The sauce for our meat was forgotten, they did not notice when our glasses were empty, forgot to bring the glass of white wine we ordered and finally for the desert they forgot to bring one out of the two. It is fair to say however that when we made them aware the person in charge came to apologise and gave us a rebate. Still i would have preferred a better service. Finally we may have been unlucky as the housekeeping service rang the bell at 8am in the morning and so woke us up. Again not something you expect in a 5 stars place.

Der Aufenthalt war angenehm, Es ist ein Geschichtsträchtiges Haus das in die Jahre gekommen ist

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, genug Auswahl Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Zimmer bot eine grandiose Aussicht zum Rhein.

Das Zimmer war relativ klein, genauso das Bad, zu eng, das Waschbecken war viel zu klein, und Abstellvorrichtungen für persönliche Pflegeartikel nicht vorhanden.

Für mich schon außergewöhnlich, aber wiederholen werde ich es wohl nicht

Beim Abendessen wurden von uns drei Beilagen bestellt, die Beilagen wurden aus meiner Sicht sehr ansprechend gereicht (in kleinen Töpfen) allerdings lag kein Vorlagebesteck dabei. Außerdem hat die Person, die den Getränkewunsch aufgenommen hat, konseqent auf den Tisch geschaut und nicht uns als Gäste. Beides hätte ich in einem Haus ihrer Güte nicht erwartet und war deswegen - wie auch meine Partnerin - enttäuscht. Ich gebe zu, dass ich vor vielen Jahren (geschätzt 8 Jahre) zuletzt bei Ihnen gespeist habe, jedenfalls gab es zu dieser Zeit noch das Angebot ein Menü zu bestellen. Das diese Möglichkeit so nicht mehr gegeben ist, habe ich bedauert.

Wir kommen nicht wieder

Das Frühstück war nicht so gut. Das Zimmer war sehr klein. Man kann durch die Tiefgarage nicht das Hotel betreten. Die Lage ist gut.

Das Frühstück könnte besser sein, der Service ebenfalls.

Stunning view over the Rhin River

Amazing property, the view that it has over the Rhin River it's stunning, very clean comfortable and quiet. I loved the hotel and the road to get to the property.

The only part that I didn't like was the view from my room. I didn't have view, just a wall and a overgrowth grass

Perfect Anniversary Weekend Stay.

The room was spacious and even though we were on the top floor, the air conditioning meant the room was comfortable with all the facilities we would expect. Bill’s restaurant was superb, and seemed popular with non hotel guests. We ate twice at the restaurant for dinner and both times were consistently good. There was a mistake on our dessert order where we were given the wrong dessert (I got the carrot cake instead of the cheese board!) but we were able to keep the carrot cake as complimentary due to their mistake, suffice to say I was very full afterwards! I had a couple of spa treatments with Memory who was amazing and I would highly recommend her for any of the spa treatments. A great location for Bonn and The Drachenfels if you are travelling by car. The views from the hotel are spectacular and there is plenty of car parking (for a few) at the hotel.

The public areas are vast, with a lot of stairs/elevators/corridors to various parts of the hotel. The restaurants were far from the Reception area, but signposts directed you to where you needed to go. Just be prepared to walk! We had a coffee and cake at the Charles Bistro, but the service was very slow. It took 20 mins just to have someone take my order! The place did not seem very busy but there were a few tables outside who seemed to be served by another food stall? Once we finished and asked for the bill, it took around another 20 mins to finally pay. I would recommend not coming here if you have time constraints.

Passable

The staff at the reception were not attentive enough. Besides, 100 euro disappeared from our friend's wallet, when the wallet was in their room. When they reported about that to the receptionist, they offered my friends to speak to the general manager of the Hotel. General manager did nothing to solve the problem, except asking what do we want and pointing out that the Hotel is not responsible for belongings that were not put in safe. Thats a confusing message to me as a guest: the Hotel can't guarantee you safety, they are not responsible for their staff.

brilliant stay for a relaxing time away

it is a very prestigious location with great history, so the expectations were high, but the hotel delivered on the highest possible level on all levels.

if there’s one thing that feels a bit off is that one has to pay 10 euros to park the car on the out door car park, which is badly lit and a bit underwhelming and given the fact that the location is very remote impossible not to use. I understand there’s a price to pay for the indoor car park but the outdoors should be free.

Lovely 5* luxury hotel in a picturesque scenery

Lovely rooms, soft bedding and pillows. Very quiet. Luxurious toiletries from Acqua di Parma. Beautiful lounges, bars and restaurants. Nice spa with good massages. Front desk staff very friendly, efficient and welcoming. Great first impression.

Towels were missing in our room upon arrival. Absolute no go in a 5* hotel. Also, the bathroom counter wasn't cleaned properly. One could still see the toothbrush cup marks from the previous guest on the counter. Spa was lovely but also rather small. Extremely slippery floor. Multiple people slipped within the 3-4 hours that we were there. Also, not great that one has to walk through the entire hotel and especially the lobby in one's bathrobe to get to the spa. Major minus point. Staff in Bill's as well as at breakfast were very young which is fine but they weren't as well trained as one would and should expect in a 5* hotel.

Luxury Hotel

Outstanding Hotel with a vast german history. The hotel is a maze of wonderful remembrances and reminders, perfect views over the valley, very good staff, excellent restaurant and premium facilities. Everything slightly on the old fashioned side, thus enhancing the outstanding meaning for the young Bundesrepublik Deutschland Loved the chargers for electric cars and bicycles

Exceptional hotel, but looks like it has seen better times. But yet, quite memorable stay

Exceptional quality of rooms, food, as well as great ambience. We enjoyed the breathtaking view/excellent location, spacious dining and breakfast room, tasteful decor. Absolutely quiet, stands in greenery on the hill, really top notch

Sauna/ Swimming pool are quite mismanaged. Dampbad did not work. The lady-manager obviously wanted to finish her work at 2000 sharp ( then the spa/sauna get officially closed) and thus started to remove beds, mattresses, water, lock down terrace half an hour before the closing. It is quite shocking for a 5* hotel. The occupancy was quite low, but this could be hardly an excuse for non-working bar
