Clean and Comfy Hotel with Kind Staff

We liked the room cleanliness and comfy bed. Staff were helpful and very kind.

I do understand the hotel is next to the mountains and maybe very few days with temperature above 28 or so. In addition the temp difference between day and night is significant. Here comes the BUT: but we expected a nice and comfy hotel like Weinbauer, adjust itself with the new reallity: We are having warm sommers in Germany. So a simple Fan / Ventilator would come in handy in addition to the wooden window shutters during this hot sommer days. Please Please Please 🙂

avoid unless you can fully occupy each room

the rooms were large and comfortable, there was good off road parking for our motorcycles. There was a considerable volume of food available at breakfast, although the choice was relatively modest compared to other hotels during this trip. The resident restaurant served good food and beer (although it is run independently of the hotel).

the hotel charges a flat rate per room for B&B irrespective of occupancy. One of our party found themselves in a 3 person room on their own and were charged the full occupancy rate. The hotel were not prepared to entertain the idea of discounting, even for the unused two breakfasts. This is contra to our experience in any other hotel, and I would not book a group in here again because of their attitude.

Lovely staff, great breakfast and good location for castles

Not so much the property which was absolutely fine, it was the odd atmosphere of the town which is all about the castles. Maybe Fussen a better option if you want more of an old town experience

Very tradicional place. Topical restaurant good breakfast amazing free Dry steam room in the spa 💪🏼

A little bit 80s 90s deco in some areas mostly in the spa. But overall it’s great value for money very well located for visiting the castles and good food in the restaurant and breakfast

Very pleasant and quite stay

Very nice and cozy room, comfortable bed and good shower. The room and bathroom are very clean. Good and rich breakfast. It's very nice the possibility to have a room where to spend relaxing time with a furnished beverage choice. Too bad that it was closing day for the restaurant.

very nice room in rustic style, the staff are is very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. We had a problem with the transport to go to the that hotel because we arrived late and no taxis were available there, so, the manager of the hotel, very kindly, picked up us from the train station, and to go back we had a problem and a woman from reception called a taxi for us

everything was excellent, except the toilet that was very cold cause it was very close to the window

Great stay

Wellness centre was a great bonus, balcony off room, breakfast was good. Great places to eat nearby. Very close to.the castles. Great lounge area where you could sit and chat to friends outside of the room.

-View was outstanding towards to castle Neuschwanstein and Mountain Tegelberg -stuff is terribly friendly. Really nice and dedicated to make everything come true

A nice hotel to stay in Schwangau!

It's a nice hotel, however, slightly old-fashioned. The room was of good size, warm and with a comfy bed. The ladies at the reception desk were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very delicious, and so much choice was provided. There is also a restaurant downstairs which serves local food. Worth to try.

10/10 Recommend for those visiting the Ludwig castles and want a traditional German experience.

Beautiful, great location for visiting the Ludwig castles. In hotel restaurant is awesome, but make a table reservation as soon as you check in as it gets busy. 10/10 recommend.

The beds and bedding were a bit small, but nothing that precluded a decent nights sleep. The parking isn’t great but parking is also available behind. hour facing the mountain.

Not good value for money

The scenery around the hotel was wonderful

The room was big, but the furniture was very old and the bed was not comfortable. Also, at breakfast we could hardly eat anything. The offer was very poor, the coffee tasted very bad.

Superb

Traditional countryside hotel (the building from the outside is quite a sight), located centrally in Schwangau, right by the Rathaus - that makes it convenient for those using public transport. Supermarket is right across, brewery is 5 minutes walk, a number of restaurants around. Very nice hospitality, excellent breakfast with a lot of choices. Very pleasant stay!

Room furniture could probably do with a bit of update. If your room is facing the front (and you open the window), be prepared for the traffic noise, not that the hotel could do anything about the volume of traffic on the main road :)
