Beautiful snow cap mountain view from the balcony and breakfast was simple yet tasty. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Enjoy our stay very much
The wood structure of the building makes lot of sounds when there’s movement in the room.

The warm welcome on arrival, at Breakast & willing assistance with luggage. Fantastic location in town with views of Jungfraujoch.

Close to the bahnhof (5-6min walk), reasonable sized rooms, good sound insulation in the windows. We had two interconnected rooms as a family, and these face the street rather than the Eiger (I knew this when booking). It can get a bit noisy in the evening on the street, but the windows were well insulated.
The hotel provides a simple decent breakfast with the room (not many in Switzerland do) and the staff are lovely.
Good value for Grindelwald.
Lovely hotel in a chalet style but there was no separate guest area to chill out in. No tea/coffee facilities in the room - would have been nice to chill in our room or another area after a long day hiking the mountains with a cuppa.

The most beautiful view from the balcony.
And the sweet gentleman help us prepare the breakfast to Jungfrau.

Location and staff
Only fault would be that the room got quite warm and was hard to get air flow without letting light in

We loved this hotel. The owners were so helpful and engaged with every aspect of the hotel. They stored our luggage, allowed us in our rooms early, let us use the refrigerator and they were so helpful with giving advice for activities and planning our travel to our next destination. Above and beyond. The beds and rooms were comfortable and breakfast was awesome.
Thank you.
Everything was great

Stunning location with absolutely amazing views to the rear of the property over the mountains and countryside. Great size balcony to just chill and soak up those views. Good breakfast. Easy walk to station. Short walk to Eiger Express cable car which can be seen from your balcony. Glacier Canyon also visible.

Great breakfast and service. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Odd shower shape and positioning. Also would have liked curtains that could block light.

The hosts were friendly and accommodating, everything was clean and the location was perfect. Let them know if you have dietary needs and they will try to accommodate you during breakfast.
The only thing I’d recommend is that they update their pillows.

People complain about the breakfast at this hotel. I don't know why. The breakfast was brilliant! The hotel is ran by a couple, and every morning one or both of them (or an employee/partner) was there, in a small kitchen area, working hard to wait on everyone in the breakfast room. Their food is simple, yet delicious and plentyful. There were hard-boiled Swiss-style eggs (coloured shells), 4 or so varieties of bread, porridge, yogurt, nutella spread, salami, cheeses, croissants, jam, butter, fruits and a few more things I forgot. The fruits were particularly delicious, which is impressive for winter time Switzerland. The rooms were not very spacious, but they were sufficiently big to be comfy. The view was spetacular, the heat was just perfect, the bed was clean and comfy, the toilet was clean and functional. There is a shed for ski equipment. There is no lift, but one doesn't need a lift. The place is not that big, guys, just exercise and you will be fine. One only needs to bring the bags up once anyway. There is no fridge. That might be a problem on summer, but on winter time, we used our balcony as a fridge and it had all space one can dream of. This is a 2-star hotel. I've been to 4-star hotels which were not as good as this.
I have 3 comments, rather than complaints: 1. The light was too dim, especially in the bathroom. Nothing too concerning though. 2. Although we had booked a double bed, the bed consisted of 2 mattresses on a single frame, and 2 duvets. It was as comfy as hotel beds get, but I didn't like the gap in the middle, as my wife and I like to snuggle. 3. The walking path outside is a bit tricky to walk on ski boots if it's too slippery. Some sort of mat (like those rubbery ones) would be perfect for these occasions. Again this is not a complaint, just a few suggestions to make this hotel further impressive.

Very nice breakfast, pleasant stay, kind staff and clean room.
Charming hotel.
We had a room on the streetside and in the evening and night there is too much noice to sleep with an open window, which was a pitty for is. But with closed windows it’s quiet.

Lovely little hotel in the centre of Grindelwald. Very central to everything. Both the train station and First gondola are only 5 mins walk. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Breakfast was plentiful incl cereals, bread, cheese(of course) juice and tea/coffee. Room was clean, shower was hot and the hosts were really nice people. An added bonus was my room had a balcony view of Mt Eiger which was amazing. Would definitely stay here again if back in Grindelwald.
My only minor gripe was the Wi-Fi was very intermittent. It cut out a lot of times and had to keep reconnecting but other than that no other complaints

The hosts Monika and Robert were so cheerful, friendly and helpful, they really made our stay feel more special. It may only be a 2 star hotel, but it deserves 10 out of 10 for what they offer. Very good value for money, the breakfast was great, and our room was clean, comfortable and had the most magnificent direct, unobstructed view of Mt Eiger. We also loved being right in town for shops, restaurants and was so easy to use the bus (free with hotel stay) to the terminal and Grindelwald First.
Perhaps some tissues, and some tea, coffee and sugar could be supplied in the room as there is a kettle.

Our cosy apartment had a beautiful view of the mountain. The location of the hotel is great.

Very nice staff, helpful in all situations. Even gave us crotches when my daughter had an injury.
Breakfast is good, even organized vegan milk for coffee upon request.
Ski-room is well equipped.
One room with the view to the mountains was great. The other looking to the street o.K.. The shared bathroom was o.K. but the room slightly funny shaped with the danger to bump your had when entering (and I am not particularly tall: 1,75m).
As in almost all hotels one would wish for more possibilities to hang your ski-wear so it can dry.

Location was nice and central, easy access to restaurants, train station and ski lifts. Staff were great. Breakfast was made with love and delicious. We had the room with shared bathroom and were surprised to still have a sink in our room which was great!
Thin walls.

Location was excellent for town access. The main street could be a bit noisy at times.
We booked two rooms for four adults with an adjoining door not realizing that it was more suitable for two adults and two children. So it did not have enough room for four adults.

Owner and staff were extremely helpful. Even block off parking lot that we could park for 5 nights' stay. Gave us nice quiet corner room with great view of valley and mountains. Wonderful breakfast spread. Great value for money!
