I'm extremely happy I selected Hotel Waldhorn--perfect spot to base my local travels.

All the staff members I met were kind and professional. Their English was great. Room was clean and comfortable, and parking was included in the cost. The room is simple, but that's all I needed--all the basic amenities, packaged in a clean, orderly fashion. The breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, had a good variety of choices and was delicious. The staff kept it well stocked and fresh.

The only negative I have is that my room was up a set of stairs, down a set of stairs, up another set of stairs, and into a hallway behind a closed door. I had a lot of luggage, and there was no easy way to get my stuff up and down. There is an elevator, but it only takes you to the first floor--multiple staircases left to navigate. Not all rooms are located where mine was--I possibly could have asked for another room, but I'm young and fit so I didn't make a fuss. For people with physical conditions, I recommend asking for a room that can easily be accessed by the elevator.

Mein Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist üppig und sehr lecker, vor allem der Filterkaffee. Das Restaurant im Hotel hat eine gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Wie auch im Hotel selbst war das Personal sehr freundlich und kompetent.

Breakfast very good and served at good time. Restaurant serves excellent food at good prices staff were attentive and pleasant. Room nice and clean well appointed

That restaurant is closed on Sundays but staff deserve time off

Very friendly staff. Restaurant with the hotel is very good.

Even though you are close to the lake, the immediate surroundings of the hotel are very boring and there is no nice lakeside.

Good, as expected for the price

Comfortable beds Good sized room (comfort double 22m squared) Powerful shower Extra pillows provided Staff were friendly Ok selection at breakfast. (Based on 100 euro room not economy room)

The shower gel dispenser didn't smell very nice (it smelt like baby wipes) but there were alternatives in small bottles. The breakfast just needed some crossaints and pastries to round it off.

A pleasant (yet no-frills) hotel for a reasonable price in a good location.

The hotel’s location is great, there is a fuel station not far from the property and a supermarket within walking distance. It’s very close to the lake and has some great balcony rooms.

There was an issue gaining entry to the hotel later on in the evening. The doors are locked after 10 pm I believe and the notice with instructions to get into the hotel were, understandably, in German yet there was information in English which should have been helpful. Luckily I was with a German speaker who helped call through to security, but you could potentially find yourself in a tight spot if you don’t plan ahead especially if you’re returning later in the evening. There were no staff on at all behind reception after 10.

We really liked our stay here.

Zimmer: A spacious, comfortable room. On one of the bed-matrasses it felt that you could easily roll off when you were laying too close to the edge. Frühstück: A bit more than 'standard', fresh bread. Lots of coffee, tea, juices etc. Essen: A large selection of mainly regional dishes, taste and 'amount' of food was very good. So was the beer. Bathroom: Although the bathroom was very spacious, the shower was relatively small, could have been a bit wider, there is space enough in the bathroom. Free parking in the underground garage, very good.

Exceptional

My room was large. Hotel restaurant was good and the staff is exceptional. I will return. The water front tourist area and ferry terminal is a 10 min drive. There is a train stop (MANZELL) across the street.

Very enjoyable stay. Wouldnt hesitate to book again

Cleanliness, comfort, shower, room size, staff were all excellent. They have a lift which was very efficient. The local train station is a short 2 minute walk with a train to the town centre taking 8 minutes. Connecting trains from here to the airport. On site restaurant is handy

Biggest issue was the lack of tea making facilities in the room. There is a fridge so storing milk would be easy but no kettle. Also the German tv is awful.

They have an excellent restaurant, but due to the slow business in Covid times the service is limited in time and choices. But still very good.

They had many installation work going on. Apparently they use the low business for renovations, which makes sense but is not so great if you are a customer in that particular time window.

Beds were not appropriate for us. We landed up having back pain which took a long time on following day to recover
