I had a confirmation from Booking.com for the stay yet the hotel said that they didnt have my reservation but didnt think twice before charging my card for the same reservation which did not exist. I am yet to see a refund for the same.

The hospitality of entire staff was outstanding.

Rooms were clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Special mention to Tanaji, Neelima and vikas from the restaurant. Gud wali chai was served which was too good. Thanks to the chef Tanaji and vikas.
Rooms does not give vibe of staying in Taj. We changed the room twice. Rest everything was perfect. Staff always available you help

Excellent spread at breakfast; the staff catered to our family's allergy problems very well. Special mention to Chef Tanaji for going out of his way to prepare different dishes for each meal, so there was variety! Neelima also looked after us very well. We were supplied with picnic hampers for our outings, and had a very good time overall. Also, very comfortable chairs in the rooms.
A bit difficult to get hold of housekeeping via intercom. Had to call the front desk each time, and request them to send someone.

The hotel and staff met our expectation of true Taj service and class.
Early check-in as requested was appreciated.
Adjoining rooms as requested was appreciated.
Special mention of Jhilik at Reception, who was informative and helpful. Special mention of the dinner staff -- sadly, we didn't note down their names.
Overall, a very good experience.

Hotel was nearby from the railway station. Staff was friendly food was decent.
Buffet has less options for nonveg. Also, the SPA services were not a value for money.

it is ok for my stay
staff all are very good

My room was well appointed, very clean, and comfortable. Staff at the hotel, especially in the breakfast room and in the Pan-Asian restaurant were unfailingly friendly and kind…dinner in the pan-Asian restaurant was delicious. Several movie channels in English were on offer. The recommended driver for a day trip and onward travel was very personable and accommodating.
First impressions of the Vivanta were not good…the exterior appeared unkempt, the lobby entrance was basic and unappealing, and no one offered to assist with my luggage. This is the second Taj property I’ve stayed at during the past month, and I was disappointed again that the swimming pool was not open….no advance notice was provided. But the main problem at the Vivanta was that I was given a room next to ongoing construction in the hotel, that continued on and off all night long….numerous calls to the front desk elicited responses that the situation would be taken care of, but it never was. The Vivanta was not up to the usual Taj standards, even for its secondary offerings.

The ambience of the hotel and the staff who were very helpful
The choices for food were very less and being too much Gujrathi food we did not enjoy it. The choices for Non Veg were too limited. The bathrooms were not upto the mark like the shower curtain were horrible

helpful staff
poor room setup, location was also not good and away from a lot of things

Nice restaurant but tired greek salad with no onions and lettuce so limp it was drowning in olive oil.
Car valet service: they broke the step off my Land Rover then loosely hung it back probably hoping it would fall off and I wouldn't know bit was their doing!
They then lied that a car had done the damage: according to their security! In which case why had they not told me and as they were security and my car was in their charge what had they not apprehended the car driver?
Fact is their driver had damaged my car and they hoped to deceive me. Very poor response from Taj management whom we have known for 48years!

The swimming pool area had tiles come off and we could not swim obviously.
The hand Jet Spray was loose and was leaking and sprayed water all over.
Mosquito was really a problem although there weren’t a lot, it wasn’t pleasant.
5.0
Hospitality of the restaurant staff Malavika, Sunil, Tanaji. Special mention about Malavika. For birthday celebration, She organised cake and made the day special.
Everything was too good

The breakfast was good. we were particularly touched by the care and hospitality shown to us by Mr. Rajendra Sane in the Gym and Ms. Nirmala from the breakfast area.
I didnt realize that Mr. Rajendra was a professional body builder. I think it might help if you publicize this fact in the gym. As a means to inspire.
Not everyone in the dining is trained. For eg: I found that the waiters would take our cutlery (And we were seated) to give it to another table. [or]- not all items were served in the same manner.
The bath tub for shower is not practical. Its best to have a cubicle for shower. Its safer, hygienic and affords more space.
4.0
location and food
size of the bathroom. Gym could have been a bit more spacious
