Avoid at all cost

The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned, flooring around the whole hotel is a trip hazard The corridor upstairs on the second floor smelt like someone was smoking and it was so hot upstairs it was uncomfortably warm and I couldn’t sleep all night I was given a tiny fan that did nothing when I asked for another one I was told that’s all they had Couldn’t get bottled water or ice Receptionist didn’t seem interested It looks like it’s used by council for migrants or homeless it I’m honest The pictures are nothing like what it looks like now

On arrival they couldnt find our booking for 20mins and once found they gave no explanation of when breakfast would be served or anything. We were here for 2 nights and the bars were closed both nights the vending machine empty and off, coffee machine was off too asked reception were we can get a cold drink and she got us a lemonade in the smallest glass ever and charged £2.75 for one. No hot water had to used the kettle water once boiled to heat up the bath water. No plug for the bath to begin with but house keeping did sort this straigh away as house keeping staff are actually really nice (one good thing) walking out tonthe car park inwas asked if i know where to get weed and other drugs by other hotel stayers, and multiple people were smoking weed in the car park and by the door and no staff did anything about this. Went down for breakfast on thursday morning 4/7/24 and was told that breakfast is served between 7am and 8am and the chef even walked past and said the kitchen is closed now and we could not even have a coffee now. Then on friday morning 5/7/24 we woke for 7am to get breakfast that we had paid for and heard staff tell someone that breakfast is till 9am which annoyed us alot. Our room was meant to be the superior suit it was tiny, tv smaller than our pillows and all the other issues already mentioned. Could have the window open at night wither as with all the druggies and drunk people was worried someone might come throught it as our window opened all the way and if we wnated to could have sat on the flat roof of the hotel as there was already broken glass and cups on it show ming that people may have been on there recently. During the night of the 4th after we had been out for a nice meal somewhere no where near the hotel when we got back and walked in to reception and a drunk old man walked to the desk bleeding from his head alot and then followed us toward our room and pissed all over the floor and throw up too.

Good for the price

Very quirky interior!! Comfy beds!! A beautiful bathroom!!

The reception staff were a little bit clueless and check in was a lot longer than it should have been.

I didn't like the stay from start to finish!!!!

Room was uncomfortably hot and the dining room was freezing, all areas were dark and outdated, ordered a twin room but only had a double when we arrived, the breakfast was of very poor quality given it was £15 per head (What a joke!!!) the kettle lid was broken, the TV had sound but no picture, had a £29.99 pending on my card which I knew nothing about and the staff were so NOT interested the receptionist was very abrupt... I hated the stay and couldn't wait to get out of there.... never again....

Very good. I will certainly book there again.

Receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. Very close to my venue. Good parking spaces for females.

The bed was uncomfortable, quite lumpy in places. Room was quite small.

Horrifying, wouldn't recommend at all

Didn't like anything, Room was very dirty with rips in the sheets. Carpets were shockingly dirty Heating didn't work, light bulbs for broken, staff were pretty rude wasn't very happy to accommodate,

Nothing. It was very poor info written above 👆 very rude staff. Very poor quality of cleanliness. Room was shocking. Rips in the sheets. Bulbs broken. Not clean at all And we asked for a room with a view, and are view was non-existent gave us a fan that was broken the list goes on and on....😞

location was good and staff were very helpful and friendly

it was dated, the restaurant toilets need work the flooring was old and peeling and dirty looking. no extra blanket could be provided for a cold room only a heater which worked very well but seems costly. bathrooms need re doing look old and very tired

Very friendly helpful staff

I upgraded for a better room so I could have a walk in shower ( as was shown in the upgrade) but it was just over the bath there was an adjoining room with just a flimsy lock so as I was alone I didn’t sleep well . It was noisy and the breakfast was at best lukewarm

no on site parking available,it was an effort for the staff to find the rooms we had booked at check in.Room was tatty,shower was extremely poor .The bar was poorly stocked and expensive. When the food started to arrive after a (2 hour wait) it was cold.When we told the waiter this he then became abusive and the result involved with a stand up row which resulted in a plate being dropped and we got covered in food.We were dreading breakfast next morning and debated going elsewhere but as we had paid for it we went to the dining room to be met by one of the waiters who apologised profusely for the night before, so we had breakfast which we all enjoyed.

a former grand hotel with many of the facilities remaining and not too tired.

clean, nice bed, friendly staff, comfortable and good quality. Everything I needed was provided and it all worked.

breakfast was ok but at £12:00 was lot of money for very average fare and service
