Great location right on the river. Our suite (winsdor) was lovely
Away from reception, the hotel is rather tired

Fabulous room - although it should be because we upgraded!
The service in the restaurant was very poor. Understaffed .. and with people who'd been broiught in at short notice to cover others who were off sick who didn't know what they were doing. Breakfast food took a very long time to be served

Location is excellent
My wife and I stayed for our anniversary but the rooms are set up with one bath Robe, one bottle of water etc. Not set up for a couple to relax and enjoy.

Excellent staff all around
WiFi complicated
TV poor

Fabulous location and very comfortable room. All the staff were superb, really efficient and helpful. In particular Huyla served us breakfast on our 3 mornings. She was excellent.
The breakfast was a little disappointing. We expected more choices and didn't really like having to pay a supplement for certain items. It just seemed a little mean given what we'd paid to stay. We prefer 'proper' sausages made from a local butcher and the bacon to be a bit crispier. We'd had hearty breakfasts at other places we've stayed recently so couldn't help comparing it. Some freshly baked bread rolls would have been nice with the continental breakfast cheeses and meat. Small request to add: please put peg to hang things in all bathrooms. I had one but it was loose. Not a major problem.

Lovely location , good selection at breakfast
Bed felt small , so didn't get a good night's sleep either night
Hotel generally felt a little 'tired'

Location is great for Marlow, lovely view of the weir from my window.
The place looks a bit tatty and outdated. Some staff friendly, some just ok. A little overpriced.

It was all fine.

Location is fabulous and this is the most dog friendly hotel we have been to, the concierges are so so lovely.
We had a great room with views of the river and perfectly placed for walks along the river.
Worst thing was the window cleaner appearing on the roof and looking through the window at 830am . Total breakdown of protocols and the hotel didn't kick him off site as they should but let him carry on. Also manager didn't;t know about it. Staff were keen to please but all learning so service standards were mixed, but hopefully with experience and strong management this will get better.

The lawn with the views over the River Thames are incredible. We had a beautiful lunch in the Sindhu restaurant which is located in the hotel. The location of the hotel is nothing sort of spectacular.
Anna on reception was incredibly rude to my Husband and myself. I had injured my toe and I needed plasters as it was bleeding and she refused to give them to me. We asked to see her Manager who kindly sent some plasters to our room. When we saw Anna in the bar later we asked for her name and she refused to give it to us. Her colleagues looked surprised so she reluctantly told us. I saw her a little later in reception so I sat down with her and asked her what had gone so wrong and she was rude and aggressive. I told her that I understood that hospitability was hard work. She went on to tell me that she is stressed, that she had had a bad day, that I should look at the hotel reviews to see how bad things are, that the hotel is under staffed, how difficult hospitality is and she gave no apology at all. In fact she was quite aggressive and she argued me with for around 10 minutes. I told her that it was my birthday and she was ruining it, that she had made me feel uncomfortable, that she had been rude to my Husband and none of it was justified. She wrote the name John down on a post it note, but then screwed it up and wouldn’t give it to me, I assume John was her Manager, but I can’t be sure as she wouldn’t explain this to me.
We travel a lot and this was honestly the poorest customer service we have ever experienced. Whilst she should have never treated my Husband in this way in the first place, nor should she have ignored a customer’s request for help with an injury, but she also had multiple times to rectify the matter, immediately when my Husband became upset, when I asked her for her name, when we asked to see the manager, when she saw us in the hotel for the evening and when I went to see her on reception.
I have emailed the hotel 4 times to since to discuss this and they are ignoring me.

We benefited from a deal which included a room upgrade and the inclusion of dinner. Our upgraded room had fabulous views over the river and was well equipped, although the bathroom was a little tired. The location is excellent - on the river at Marlow with very picturesque views. We had a very pleasant dinner in the restaurant which overlooks the river.
Our review is based on a good deal, on the basis of which our stay represented good value for money. However, I am aware that higher prices are the norm.

We liked the garden area and river view. Helpful and friendly staff.
Breakfast lack of choice for the money paid. Only melon as fresh fruit choice. One bacon rash which was hard and over cooked. Breakfast needs to be more generous!
Have stayed in hotels with far superior beds. Mattress not great.

Large rooms with lots of storage and roomy en suites.
Nespresso machines.
Situation is wonderful.
Adequate parking.
All looking 'tired' but in a pleasant way.
Rooms large, comfortable and we had wonderful view of the weir.
Breakfast really poor value and poor generally. Crazy to have to pay £6 supplement to have some avocado with your poached eggs.🙄
Breakfast rolls - one halved sausage in roll with no spread and in a sweet bread bun😬
All 4 rooms very hot even when thermostat turned down and windows/doors left open (only 6° outside) so poor sleep for many.
But the situation remains wonderful 👍

The location is fabulous with amazing views of the river, bridge and church, and a lovely high street. The car park had ample space, and the lounge was very nice to sit in. The staff were mainly helpful and friendly.
It felt like the room hadn't finished being cleaned with a dirty and chipped glass, no soap and no sugar. The pillows were far too soft and made it difficult to sleep. We waited over 20 mins to be seated for breakfast on the first morning, although the Director of F&B was very nice to us afterwards. For the price, we were a little disappointed overall, but still enjoyed our stay.
