Location, comfy bed, location, friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing.

I was in a cute, little cosy room with newly decorated bathroom. I loved the lighting of the mirror which was adjustable. Many hotels have bad lighting, which makes applying make-up or grooming more difficult.
a socket for my mobile phone next to the headboard rather than the bottom of the bed

Clean, friendly, central
It was hot and a fan in the room would have been good

Bed lovely and comfy.
The shower. Mould and small and dated. I didn't use so marked down for this as I didn't feel it was good enough to use.

Helpful staff
We arrived at the property very late due to being stuck in traffic for 8 hours. Our booking was wrong they only had 1 room ready not the 2 I had booked. I was then asked if I would put my child in a travel cot as they didn’t have the extra bed I booked. They gave us a round of drinks for the inconvenience and managed to get the extra bed sorted (this was a like a deck chair and collapsed every-time it was sat on. The room was awful the biggest amount of cobwebs I’ve ever seen in my life, blood on the curtains and the blinds then shower was black with mould. We went for breakfast early and the selection was limited and all the bread was mouldy which I took back straight away. Overall disappointed in the stay but the staff helped as much as they could.

Lovely open fire in the bar, made the atmosphere really cosy. Rooms are OK.
Bathrooms could do with an update. The toilets in the bar were really modern, if they achieve the same in the rooms, then this would be a great hotel. We had planned to eat dinner at the hotel, however we were told that the chef was off ill. Breakfast could have been a little better too, but I am not complaining.
