nothing to like

room was too small, odd layout might be some kind of prrevious storageroom... no amenity at all, not even the basic shampoo was storged, which i found out in the middle of my shower! Bed sheet was not fresh for sure, can still smell previous guest :(

Geräumiges Zimmer, Service des Personals könnte etwas besser sein

Wir konnten gratis direkt am Hotel parken. Meinem Wunsch nach einem Zimmer ohne Teppich wurde nachgekommen. Das Zimmer war schön geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Es war auch mit Ausnahme von Klo und Dusche sehr sauber. Die Lage des Hotels is perfekt, wenn man Svendborg zu Fuß erkunden will. Man ist auch sehr schnell am Fähranleger. Ein öffentliches Fitnesscenter in der Nähe konnte kostenfrei genutzt werden.

Das Klo und die Dusche waren nicht ganz sauber, das restliche Zimmer aber schon. Beim Klo müsste mal wieder eine WC-Ente und entsprechende Bürste unter dem Rand benutzt werden. Die Dusche war verkalkt und am Duschvorhang klebte irgendetwas Ekeliges von der vorigen Gäst:in. Der Fitnessraum war sehr dreckig, es gab dort keine Handtücher und auch kein Desinfektionsmittel. Man konnte auch kostenfrei ein öffentliches Fitnessstudio in der Nähe nutzen, aber da musste man erst ca. 7 Minuten zu Fuß hinlaufen. Es lohnt sich, da das Fitnesscenter toll ist. Allerdings bekamen wir an der Hotelrezeption keine extra Handtücher zum Mitnehmen.

Decent one-night stay at the Best Western Plus, which had a small welcoming lobby and very simple bedrooms and tiny bath

Location was great and people were very nice. Check in and check out was smooth and easy. We appreciated the ice cold fruit infused water at check in. Towels and items guests may need were available for guests to help themselves at the end of the hall— we didn’t need anything but thought this was convenient and thoughtful.

The showers were a bit narrow and the tile had black stuff in the grout (looked like mold)! This was very difficult to get over. No dresser space, so it would not be ideal for a longer stay or for multiple people. We stayed one night and it wasn’t a problem for us.

We were in a recently upgraded part - we have been before- and the section we were in this time was different, it was really nicely furnished, nice very clean large bathroom, mini bar, kettle etc in the room. Very nice! Smiley welcome on arrival All good !

I did not enjoy the room at all.

Breakfast is always perfect. No complaints at all. The location is very good for the purpose of my stay.

I do not like the difference in the quality of rooms. It is pure luck, if I get a nice, renovated, comfortable room or a poor one. I checked in and got a very strange small room 4. floor. With seperate toilet and bath. Rather strange. I complained and got a room 1. floor. The doorstep was loose and easy to slip over, the room was clean, but decorations poor, bathroom not very nice. And the view was to the yard - or something. I have stayed in Hotel Svendborg a number of times in better rooms. I did not enjoy this stay at all. Renovations is very urgent in this type of room. I came from a conference at Nyborg Strand - much higher quality.

the location is quite good. room and bath had a reasonable size.

The interior of the room was in a really bad shape. no way near a 4-star -rating. it felt more like a youth hostel than a best western PLUS hotel. the shower curtain was already brown on the lower part, the mini bar didn’t close properly. the over all impression was way too shabby to be a BW plus. I get that this is one of the few hotel nearby but the price was way too high.

The staff and management made extra efforts to ensure a good experience.

nice room size, good value, great location kids liked the pool table, foozball, darts. good to have a fan in the room, good breakfast.

even with the fan, the room was hot. pillows offered no neck support.

Lovely city location and top renovated friendly hotel

Fantastic location. Lovely friendly staff and 24/7 reception. Wonderful big rooms and very nice bathroom. Has been renovated with wooden floors etc. TV, hairdryier, desk. Also perfect to have a floor fan in each room to cool the room down. Thank you so much - more hotels should provide this in every room. Location right in City shopping area with 100 m. only to a big supermarket, the sand beaches etc. and 200 m./10 min. walk to the train taking you straight to Odense and all intercity-links.

Summertime it is hard to get a dark room to sleep because the curtains are very thin and white and do not create darkness. Not many TV channels.

Unusal hotel with limited accommodations and not traveler friendly

The hotel was a great location in the small town and convenient for the music festival that we were there for.

The hotel doesn’t have a typical entrance and we struggled to find parking everytime we were at the hotel. The rooms also don’t have any AC so we were very hot every night even with the window opened. Most notably, the electricity in the rooms do not work unless you put the only tool key they give you into a slot in the room. This was news to us and we were not informed by the staff of this feature so we were very confused and uncomfortable when we first arrived to the hotel.
