After 2 years of total renovation, the Hotel San Carlu Citadelle Ajaccio is open again! We will be pleased to welcome you in our new skybar and restaurant on the top of the hotel with an amazing view on the sea.

Nice hotel in touristy area

The hotel and room are lovely, clean and comfortable. The rooftop area is pleasant with great views but the bar there is closed on Sundays. There is a laundromat 100 metres from the hotel. There are touristy bars and restaurants all around.

Check in is late at 4pm. The area is very touristy, the Citadelle is lame, there's a strip of sand nearby which claims to be a beach but is not that appealing. The shops are closed on Sundays so there is not much to do on a Sunday. In hindsight, I should have stayed close to one of the better beaches as I was there on a Sunday.

Bra, trevligt och rent hotell med centralt läge.

Bokade hotellet efter tidigare besök för 7-8 år sedan. Under pandemin renoverat. Nu mycket fräscht och fint. Frukostrestaurang / bar på takterrass med fantastisk utsikt. Utsökt god och rikligt urval av rätter i buffén. Möjlighet att beställa ägg enligt eget önskemål. Perfekt läge, bara något kvarter från centrum, många restauranger på samma gata och på nära promenadavstånd.

Perfect views - Ajaccio's most elegant hotel

Fantastic roof terrace - excellent restaurant. Very nice breakfast with beautiful view from the roof top terrace. Quality of product impeccable. Staff very friendly.

I only can highly recommend it , it’s great value for a 4 star boutique hotel

The location is fab, we enjoyed the top roof terrace and bar, the view up there is stunning. The stuff was extremely friendly and the room very trendy and tasteful designed, very comfortable bed, lovely linen , and a brand new bathroom . The value is absolutely amazing for what you get

I have really nothing negative to say about this hotel

the roof restaurant was exquisite and beautifully decorated

we made an error in our length of stay, and consequently had to pay for an unwanted 2nd day. we were disappointed that they were unwilling to compromise or make a gesture towards a credit for our paid-for 2nd night. booking.com needs to accept some responsibility as we did recognize our error 2 weeks before arriving however received no response from with Booking or the hotel. a gesture in the category of customer satisfaction would have gone a long way.

Felt like a celebrity at a favourite haunt. Glamour & comfort in perfect balance.

Good location. Friendly staff gave advice on planning trip & went above & beyond to help me celebrate my birthday. Sky bar has great vibes & breakfast on the terrace is lovely.

A design mishap with the all-in-one metal furniture meant I was scared of waking others as it squeaked. Had to put kettle under the table to plug in to boil it.

A great place to stay in downtown Ajaccio

The location is excellent and although the room was small, the space was very nice and the bathroom spacious. The person who received us was also very friendly and helpful. It was a great location for the price. There are many restaurants and things to do nearby.

Bijou on point!

This place is a bjiou by its purtest definition. Extremly friendly staff, very considering and will make you feel welcome. It just opended a few months before our stay, and I am convinced this will soon be THE place to be in Ajaccio, no doubts! The style, the decoration, the sea view from the bar on the too, the drinks, the food, the staff, just everything is on point and execptionel. Highly recommanded place!

Clean and beautiful hotel and great and helpful stuff

I spent an amazing week at the San Carlu hotel with my daughter. It is beautiful recently renovated hotel in the heart of Ajaccio. The stuff were always smiling and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I am vegan, and anyway I was able to find fresh and tasty products for myself. The terrace has a breathtaking view. Rooms always clean. I recommend this hotel in 100%

Every comfort you can imagine for a good night's sleep in the center of the city's happenings

Location was unparalleled, with access to the Rue de Rio where excellent nightlife and restaurants were, and a couple blocks from the town beach. Room provided every comfort you could want, which was why we loved it there. Extra pillows, a bottle of water and cups, a sewing kit, shampoo and body gel, a very comfy bed, a ready closet, adjustable A/C, a fantastic shower with two varieties of heads, a nice TV, the option of breakfast (which we did not take). The staff was so welcoming and friendly! At their encouragement, we went upstairs for a look at the view and it was incredible!! Too bad we didn't eat there or have more than just one night.

Our room's view was onto an alleyway and we were located below the first floor, so it was really dark. No natural light or view. You could hear the people in the stairwell, as we were on the mezzanine, and that wasn't ideal.

everything. the view is amazing, the room is super comfortabl e, very nice staff.

very little: the lack of glass between the shower and the toilets. the bar wasn’t opened on Sunday night and it was one less wonderful movement.
