A comfortable stay.

The receptionist on arrival was pleasant, spoke English and polite. Room was clean and comfortable. Coffee/tea making facilities is always nice. Parking the car in front of the room was good.

The room and bathroom needed a coat of paint to freshen up!

Appalling and certainly not as advertised.

Everything else, particularly as we had booked this hotel as it was advertised as pet friendly but when we arrived we were advised that dogs were not allowed in the bar or restaurant which meant we couldn’t eat or drink at the hotel so all we had was a shabby room to sit in with our dogs, there wasn’t any real outside space/terrace we could utilise with the dogs to eat or drink, none of the other hotels we have stayed at in France accept dogs but bar them from the bars or restaurants.

Comfortable room with 2 chairs and kettle and tea and coffee provided. Hairdryer, which is a rarity !

Poorly maintained, bathroom light only worked occasionally had to use wall heater for light. In desperate need of updating.

The worst Campsnile I have stayed in, mainly due to the extremely rude and unhelpful staff.

The price. Ease of booking.

Very rude staff. Not at all dog friendly. Not allowed to eat with my dog, even outside because of a storm that never happened.

Convenient stop from Le Mans to the ferry

Basic comfortable accommodation good food and value for money. Very convenient for the ferries.

I found the bed a bit too firm but that's just a personal opinion.

Food was OK. Room was clean. Linen was clean

No UK tv. \Room was very small for the amount of money they charged. 160 euros was the final bill for room, breakfast and dinner and I would have expected much better for that. Would not stay again.

Location to motorway

At check in we were expected to take breakfast (seriously over priced) and dinner. We might have taken dinner but were informed that our small dog could not be taken into the restaurant. Our room seemed to be adjacent to an engineering room - there was a loud fan running all night The area under the bed had clearly not been cleaned for many months.

Great staff but needs an update urgently

Very handy for the motorway. lad on reception and in the restaurant absolutely spot on. Very friendly, happy lads.

I forst started staying in Campenile in 1987 and this is a throw back to then. very very tired but clean enough.

Poor

When I arrived I was advised that the restuarant was closed. We could not find another restuarant in Alencon that was open that Sunday evening and ended up at a MacDonalds. The other issue was the room we were given had no parking in front of the apartment which is unusual as the majority of the rooms have such a facility. The 5 other resident all European had rooms with parking in front. This happend before when I was there on the way to Spain and I was given room 30 again with no parking in front. I was the only one who had that issue that evening. It is pretty clear that whoever allocates rooms does not consider being British is important. I have been using this hotel for over 20 years and have never had such treatment in fact the reverse. I will not be staying there AGAIN.

Noisy and uncomfortable hotel

It is ok that there is free parking and the rooms are spacious , not typically french

This is a place where people go to spend fornication time with secret lovers or girlfriends. It is quite noisy and not that comfortable. It is cheap cause this is a place to spend time for hiding from the family and wives. If you can avoid going for the weekend. For more pleasant stay go to Alençon.

Accommodation in huts more akin to those in the film the Great Escape! Noisy generator next to the accommodation No restaurant despite this being stated in the facilities Will never consider using a Companille again Booking.Com needs to review the facilities they list to ensure they are accurate All we wanted was a quiet, convenient hotel to stay overnight while on a long road trip across Spain and France. The restaurant on site was a key part of this. We are extensive travellers and Booking.com users and this was a long way from acceptable

Disappointing

When we arrived we told there was no restaurant available as there was no staff we were told we had been notified but we were not I think it is unacceptable to let paying customers who have used this restaurant many times before to be treated in this way. Would not recommend to friends in the future.
