The pillows of the bed were the best
Everything about the breakfast! The delay in being seated, the options, the staff were unhelpful, it was dirty, it was badly organised.

Such a lovely welcoming hotel. Staff are friendly and rooms are lovely
Nothing. It was fine

I recently stayed in a room that was clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. However, I did notice that some of the furnishings felt a bit outdated. While it didn’t detract too much from my overall experience, a refresh could enhance the ambiance.
I received a parking ticket despite having registered my car correctly. While the issue was eventually resolved, it caused unnecessary frustration and inconvenience.

Large room and bathroom, fairly new fittings.
Great breakfast included in the price, huge bar and restaurant with reasonable prices considering the location. Nice garden area outside overlooking the river and easy access to transport (if coming from central London, use Prince Regent on the DLR and it's a well-signposted 5 minute walk). Located right by the Thames with a long, very wide footpath stretching for miles. Great view of the airport too if you're a plane geek like me! No aircraft noise in the rooms though
The lighting was a bit odd - you put your card in near the door & the bedside and foyer lights come on, There's a separate lamp near the TV. But there is only 1 switch near the bed to turn the main lights off & that also turns off the little reading lights. And then you have to get out of bed to turn the TV lamp off!
Beds and pillows a little hard for me

Very clean. Staff were friendly. Good transport links into the city with the DLR from prince regent

Clean and lovely staff. Great breakfast options
Slightly expensive.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff.
Our bed was the creakiest bed I’ve ever slept in. It sounded like it would fall apart with the slightest movement. Also, a sharp staple was sticking up through the carpet and went into my food. Shocking.

Hôtel de standing, magnifiquement décoré. Chambre confortable.

Location to the excel was perfect and the hotel was really clean

Friendly reception staff especially the European staff
I was overcharged around £90+. I had to later call from Italy to have it corrected. I had forgotten that I was a Hilton Honors member and forgot to remind my son who booked for me . Instead he booked through Booking.com. Later when I found out that Hilton Honors rates were far better.. it was too late as we had already checked in. Being seniors on vacation to spend time with our new born grandson, the Hotel location was too far (felt like in the middle of nowhere) from public transport especially the DLR or Elizabeth line to go to Canary Wharf were our family lives. The weather (rain and wind) made the overall experience of walking to the station even more worse. So had to rely always on Uber.

The location of the room and the bedroom / space for the bedroom

The hotel was clean and the staff were really welcoming. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a great view of the water and airport. Breakfast was really good, with lots of choice and the staff were very attentive.
We liked everything
6.0
The location, easy to park, great view over river.
The bed was described as queen size. This was not the case the bed was small for a Hilton. My husband had to sleep on pull out sofa.

Room was larger than expected and clean on arrival. Room service staff were excellent but food delivered was only okay. Extra bathroom towels provided.
One wall socket in room was not working. Room was not cleaned properly during our stay and one housekeeper just entered without knocking when we were there late afternoon
8.0
The breakfast was brilliant, so much to choose from. The staff were all lovely, the only down side was the view from the room but that wasn't the hotels fault as building work was being done at the excel.
As above the only downside was the view, the rest of our stay and the hotel and staff was brilliant.
7.0
The staff were friendly and well informed. The food was of a very high standard, both breakfast and evening meals.
We had extremely noisy people in the room next to us and it took 3 visits from staff to get them to be quiet. This lasted between midnight and 2am.
The evening reception staff were brilliant, they were calm in the face of abuse from these very noisy guests. However, it did make us wonder about how good sound proofing was.

Good location near to the ExCel centre
Good view over the dock
Feather pillows and bedding were very comfortable and clean.
Good range of breakfast choices
The dinner is also good and I recommend the Chicken Schnitzel which is generous and delicious.
The train and aeroplanes were still very audible through out the day and evening making it hard to settle down to sleep if you want an early night, despite triple glazed windows. Thankfully the aircraft are not active all night.
Also unable to turn off the air conditioning unit as it’s set to automatic. Only way to turn it off was to remove the door card from the wall unit but then you can not turn the bedside lights on.

Apart from the breakfast which was very good, the food in the restaurant was dreadful - overcooked and tasteless.

Good value
Great breakfast
Not enough ordinary tea bags in the room. Only 2.
Shower was a bit poor. Not very powerful at all.
Our bed was comfortable but quite rickety. Room No: 245
Overnight parking charge a bit excessive, but not a deal breaker.
‘In case of Fire’ instructions on the back of the room door are for the room next door, Rm 246.

Breakfast was the best I've had for a very long time. Never known a hotel to serve fried bread, so thank you for that. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were outstanding. Cookies given to us on sign in were nice, and a snack bar with free crisps and fruit in reception area was a lovely touch.
A bit secluded and dark area. View from room a bit bleak, but then who goes away to store out of the window anyway. The amount of cleaning trollies on our floor in the morning was ridiculous

No drinking water provided after the first day of stay!! I had to collect it from the reception which I thought was rather odd.
