Excellent location close to town with friendly staff.

Be sure to book the hotel and not the O’Lodge

Located in the historic center the hotel is convenient for walking to see the sights of Dinan. Breakfast was served on time and the water pressure in the shower was good. The staff were courteous.

Did I not look carefully enough when I booked? When we checked in we were told that our room was in the Lodge which is half a block away down a cobbled alley with weeds and no lighting. The room we were shown had mismatched furniture and a sub-standard bathroom. We asked about a room in the main hotel and paid extra to have a standard room with a full bath. We could not open the windows and close the curtains to allow for airflow and there was no fan. In 90+ degree temperatures it was uncomfortable trying to sleep. Traffic noise started at 6 am outside our room.

Great stay in a great city.

The room was excellent with a pleasant view of the back garden. The wifi was good and allowed us to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline on their internet broadcasts. Free parking was available in the public car park just down the road beyond the post office.

The shower "room" was a trifle cramped. The breakfast room was rather tiny and got very busy on the first day. We went down later on the second and it was less busy and far better.

Disappointing overall.

Location was fine, good for walking about Cognac. That's all really.

Very little interaction with staff; most didn't acknowledge our coming and going. Room much smaller than photos would lead one to believe - cramped and little storage space. OK for a night or two but no more. Very basic re furnishing and facilities in room. Although it says that parking is available, it is on the street (paying during the weekdays), or a nearby car park which is busy during the day and out of sight of the hotel.

Great relaxing break, looking forward to a return visit !!

This Hotel is in a super location and within walking distance to local restaurants and site seeing attractions. We had a very comfortable room, compact, organised and clean, which included a separate shower and WC. The room was warm and had good size comfy bed. Our room was on the ground floor and opened onto a small courtyard area which suited us as we had our dog with us for our weekend visit. Free weekend local parking away from the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and good value.

Good for 1 or 2 nights.

Nice welcome, and parking in courtyard for our motorcycles although cars would be off site. Room was clean with air-con, some drinks available but no actual bar. Short walk to other bars and restaurants, over all very good, would use again.
