Very friendly staff. Always found us a table for evening meal
We asked for rooms near each other and received confirmation that we could but were at other end of corridor. The hotel looks a bit tired so could do with an uplift

The place is needs a good clean as mold in a few places and to be updated
Could hear the person above every time they walked around kept us up most of the night

Everything was really lovely. Staff are very friendly and kind. I felt good in this place. I will probably come here again. Thank you so much for everything. ☺️🙂😉
Nothing. I can't write anything I didn't like about this place. I think everything is OK. 🙂😉

The powerful shower was like a spa! Bed was clean and comfortable. Warm room. Good quality TV.
There was nothing not to like.

Staff were friendly.
Very dated, room and furniture could do with modernisation. The bathroom had black mould on the ceiling and in the grout, modernisation would boost the quality of the room. Room was not set for 4 people as booked, had to ask for the sofa bed to be set up with linen and extra towels.

Breakfast
Ill-insulated windows allowing excessive road noise, holes in bathroom vinylay, blocked basin waste, stained bed-base and settee, stained ceiling, shabby furniture, rusty radiator, no tea-tray for cups.

Staff were fantastic, very friendly, very helpful ,all round credit to your company, nice to see staff with smiles
Unfortunately the room was well worn ,shower curtain smelt like smoke, mattress wasn’t comfortable at all but slept fair, bathroom floor was coming away and wasn’t completely flat

The room was warm and clean. A very good shower. A little basic but quite adequate. We didn't have breakfast but ate that eveing in the Hungry House. The meal was nothing fancy but fine and not at all expensive.
Only two tea bags, would have been nice to have more.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
A choice of tea bags in the room would have been great.

it was cheap
cleanliness, the toilet was not properly cleaned. the heating wasn’t on when we arrived so the room was very cold. the receptionist was dealing with another customer and left his desk for a while (totally fine but would have liked it if he acknowledged I was there.

Warm and comfortable. Easy access. Plenty of parking. Bath and shower. Plenty of lighting and mirrors. Plenty storage. We didn't eat here this time but previously the food and drink have been excellent.
Unfortunately for us, the bath/shower mixer tap wasn't working. OK for a bath but I had to have a cold shower in the morning. Very disappointed but an easy fix for the room should the management read this. We were in room 2.
As an aside, more coffee/tea supplies should have been supplied. We were only given 2 coffee sachets per day.
4.0 / 10.0
location, facilities, staff
Whole hotel area smelled musty and my bedroom smelled of stale smoke/vape. mattress had holes all over it from broken springs that I had to pad out with pillows in order to try and sleep. Continental breakfast option was very basic and poor quality. very little healthy options available - fruit salad etc only thermos flask coffee/hot water for tea, not toast option(?) furniture in restaurant was totally threadbare and tables were sticky with age. it felt more like a run down youth hostel than a hotel and is in need of serious investment in the furniture, fixtures and fittings which feel/look to have been there for more than 20 years without ever being updated

The location for Alton Towers and the motor way was spot on for what we needed. The pub and food and drink were ideal. We also had the bonus of the quiz night, which was a lot of fun! It made our night even though we didn't win!!
The rooms were a bit dated and scruffy with damp in the bathroom and on the windows.

Location was great, staff were excellent & food was really good. The whole stay was great value for money.
unfortunately there was an annoying noise, like a water heater or something that kept coming on for short periods during our stay, which did keep us awake at night.
