GOOD CENTRAL HOTEL AND VALUE FOR MONEY.

Location is excellent for a stay in South Woodham as it is right in the centre of town. Breakfast was good and served promptly in the bar. The band playing on the Saturday were good and created a lively atmosphere. There is no food served during the day/evening, however we were able to bring food into the courtyard for lunch and sat outside which was nice. There are many eateries around to choose from for evening meal.

Be aware, there is very limited parking on site, so you are directed to another local parking area. This didn't cause a huge problem, just something to consider.

Near friends, nice little town. Great Indian called chillies next door. Staff were great, no problem getting extras for room. Nice breakfast and bar.

No sleep

The room was very clean and the breakfast was good, with a very attentive breakfast lady.

There is a wine bar just oposite the hotel, and on Friday night there was a very noisy crowd hanging there and playing music until after 1am, so we could not get any sleep until early morning. We tried to close the window but it only reduced the noise a bit, and as it was very hot and no air coditioning in the room, we had to open the window again just to be able not to get cooked.

Great hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival and throughout our stay, rooms were spotless and of good size, if dated. The bar was keenly priced too We were staying for a nearby wedding, and were given taxi numbers in advance to book, by the hotel, which was a great help as the first three numbers didn't work Sundays. Beds were soft and comfortable unlike, it seems, chain hotels seem to have gone onto hard types that give me backache sometimes. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty to choose from and the freshly cooked Full English was done to a T👌.

There is nothing not to like.

room was comfy,i would say fairly clean ,and the breakfast had plenty of choice [good]

i was dissappoint that the room was not entered to refill tea and coffee on one day ,and floors were not cleaned

Enjoyed stay and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was good. Tasty food. Drinks prices in the bar were good. Live band v2 were excellent. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was very very comfortable.

Had to park my car behind some shops. Sound proofing between rooms is poor-I could hear lads in next room clearly urinating! TV screen a little small.

Good location between Chelmsford and Southend on sea, with Free car parking, Ful English breakfast availaqble, lively bar in eveniing if needed, and not to noisy when in hotel room on 1st floor,

Very comfortable. Good bed. Clean room. Excellent breakfast.

Staff don't really engage and other guests think it's fine to come into breakfast in their PJ's.

it was clean, the room was a good size, the team were friendly & accommodating as we were celebrating a birthday in the pub & the breakfast was excellent, hot, fast & very well cooked, thank you
