The hotel is very centrally located, easy walk up to the Octagon, across road from Settlers Muesum, and train station. Lots of car parking and all on the flat. The dinners were fantastic and a great price. Rooms were nice and warm with comfortable beds, great shower (have had so many duds while traveling).
Everything was great

The building is quite historic in the central area, close to restaurants and railway station. The staff is kind and friendly. The shared living room is quite spacious with great view of the First Church. The elevator is quite old, but nice.
The room is quite small! The wifi signal is weak

The location is best for walking around the city. Car park is big and flexible
The room is too small, everything is too old, the heater is too loud, the water is not clean (yellow). We have to buy water from Countdown nearby to wash

friendly staff on the front desk, and lovely old-fashioned roast. Lovely warm and welcoming people

Location
Exceptionally rude staff greeting at reception desk. Must hate their own lives to be that miserable and rude. Dont look at you or even speak to you unless you force them. Very noisy hall rooms with people coming and going and creaky as floor boards every where. Can hear traffic very bad. Bed was two pushed together and probably should have been replaced about 3 decades ago. Dip in one like a bannana. We had no fridge or microwave. Heater has annoying click on and off. Windows where rattling with the wind at night. Bathroom was tiny with an extractor fan that barely takes away the steam. Was dirty round the taps on sink. Carpet in room looked like it needed a good hoover with bits every where. Breakfast is 15 dollars for cereal and juice what a joke. They say they have a bar and cooked food but that was never an option.
Overall they need to probably spend some money every where on the place coz its very run down.

Location and parking
Floors were very slopping and the lift was scary! Nobody in desk at 2am and people walked in off street. Our room door did not lock properly and was ajar when we returned, staff said it happens from time to time. I felt it was costly for all the above reasons.

Good location, staff was friendly, cheap price. Got our own room for cheaper than we were sharing in hostels in other cities, can't complain.
Shower wasn't great, parking was a bit exposed.

Staff were lovely, kind informative and polite. Place was very clean. Large lounge area to chill. Excellent WiFi. Excellent location less than 5 mins from town centre.

Great help from a receptionist after they charge me twice the stay. He really did a good job.
Check in not really welcoming, person on charge very little engagement. Old and tired facilities, even weird smell due to humidity of building.

Location- in the Center city
It’s very noisy at night.
Got waken up by staff before checking out time.

The staff were exceptional considering I work nights as a cleaner starting and finishing at all hours
The floor was a little on a lean. Other than that my stay was great

The location was perfect.
Hotel has cool old vibe, and a real nice lounge room on 1st level to chill in. Wasn’t able to check out the bar for breakfast or dinner & drinks, but it was on offer so that’s a positive.
Staff were accommodating.
Shower in room was very strong & hot, probably best shower of our whole roadtrip.
Room was small, but probably the value for what we paid for.
The beds however were sub par & not comfortable. The bunk bed specifically had issues with no railings so that pillows & sheets would fall off & being small so the bottom bunk would hit your head. Also, one of the sheets provided had a stain on it.
The hotel vibe has a cool vibe, but was also slightly creepy with drunk guests from the bar wandering upstairs.

old property with old, sympathetic charm.
Clean and comfy. staff friendly and helpful

We were in a larger refurbished room and found it very comfortable and no road noise at all. We would definitely stay in this room in future when we travel with our children.
The elevator doors close quite quickly which was tricky with multiple small children so we used the stairs instead but would be OK for adults alone.
