Being surrounded by the tea fields in an old tea factory, with staff that used to work in that same factory, you feel completely submerged in the tea world.
The spa was nice. Special thanks to the two ladies there.
Special note: the train master and the gastronomic experience on the train. A must do!, the gardener and his exceptional collection of flowers. The amount of care given to those plants is amazing.
THE BATHROOM and room design. Agreed it is original style, but it definitely needs a modern remake!
Very cold staff at reception!
The hotel is in a remote place, nothing to do after 10pm. Keep that in mind.

Staff was phenomenal and the property was beautiful. Cool to see and learn about the old tea factory
Too far to walk to town or explore much, but being secluded was also nice.

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the manager who got out of bed to check us in at 4am. Our triple aspect room was large and offered great views over the tea fields. I love the history of the property and how the tea factory features have been retained.
The rooms could do with a makeover and a higher standard of cleaning. The bathrooms need updating and walk-in showers would be a bonus. The dining options are limited and although the buffet was large the food was not the best quality. The mountain road up to the property is narrow and steep/bumpy so a good car is required. If you are arriving at night/early hours of the morning be mindful that getting into the hotel can be tricky and security is tight.

Great common spaces + restaurant / bar. Private dinner 21pp went extremely well. Tea experience recommended
Rooms seem to be in need of a decent refurbishment to better justify the asking price

The food was absolutely incredible; would rate at 10! Definitely take the buffet for dinner. Besides good food, also amazing service!
Also the tea plucking, tea tour and tea tasting was an incredible experience with the lady. I would 100% recommend this tour.
A beautiful view and unique experience that the hotel is an old tea factory and that parts are still functioning.
The hotel is very expensive for what you get, especially the room. The room is in the old English style which is beautiful but could definitely do with an update; shower in the bath, noisy rooms, we had black hairs on the matras and when there is a lot of wind you hear loud noises through the ventilator at night.

The property was very cosy and in a great location. Ideal as you didn’t have to leave for any of the activities you wanted to do. I highly recommend tea plucking and tasting with Jayanthi and Krishnakumaran was so friendly and helpful with all things food and beverage.
The hotel is expensive but absolutely worth it.

Fantastic location with beautiful isolated surroundings.
The grounds and building were interesting to look around.
The bedrooms could be updated.
The food and drinks (even bottles water) were overpriced - the most expensive we came across in Sri Lanka, even compared to similar hotel experiences.

vintage and different experience.. the greenery the tea plants all around you.. the hotel itself was an old factory and turned into hotel.. staff was friendly and we did the tea plucking with Krishna who was so kind and humble.. took thousands of photos for us and explained everything about the tea and about the hotel.

Beautifully restored industrial building. We were accommodated gracefully despite arriving early and given one of the three rooms with a balcony.
Tea plucking was a bit silly. I would have liked to have batista coffee for breakfast.

Food was not good. It was very disappointing. Everything else was good with great hospitality.
They definitely need to add good chefs to the restaurant

The whole concept of the tea factory converted to a hotel was amazing to see.

The best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka, so far. The property is absolutely gorgeous. A trip to Nuwara Eliya isn’t complete without at least one night at this beautifully restored hotel.
The desserts were a bit disappointing.

It is an amazing experience to stay at this hotel. It is a bit difficult to access, but worth the hustle. The staff were incredible! Especially Krishna from restaurant and the room boy Jayaprakash deserve a special mention.
Just the access road.

Staff was very helpful, always ready to help.
The selection and quality of food at the restaurant was exceptional; the sous-chef came out frequently to check if the food was okay; the senior staff members kept checking if our stay was good and sought feedback. The location and the facility was outstanding.
The road to the hotel could be better maintained

We loved our stay in the heritance tea factory. The place is full of charm. We were supposed to leave early in the morning but each tiny detail was arranged so carefully that we decided to stay a bit longer.
Punura was a great host. He made sure everything was to our liking from the moment we arrived. Arranged for dinner in the wonderful tck 6685 restaurant, arranged for a late spa treatment, the amzing tea picking and also for tea and spices. Punura if you read this thank again for making us feel at home.
Key highlights for us:
- the great welcome tea ritual
- the view and the garden
- the special experience and great food in the railroad restaurant tck668
- the tea picking dressed in sari
The attention to details and the very nice staff
Cannot take breakfast outside

Excellent experience, the place looks beautiful and the people working there are really helpful!
Be ready not to have a good internet connection, speed around 1 Mbit/sec, maybe it’s even a bonus :)
