Attending a wedding in the area, we chose this hotel for its excellent location and amenities, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was exceptionally clean, with a comfortable bed and well-maintained facilities. The free WiFi worked perfectly, and the parking was a huge bonus. The staff were friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The location was ideal, close to the wedding venue and easy to access. The value for money was outstanding, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone attending an event or just looking for a comfortable place to stay.

We stayed here for a wedding and were very happy with our choice. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The free WiFi was a nice touch, and the parking made our stay much more convenient. The staff were welcoming and helpful, ensuring that our check-in and check-out went smoothly. The hotel’s location was perfect for attending the wedding, and we found it easy to explore the surrounding area. The overall experience was excellent, and we felt we received great value for our money. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Myself and my partner recently spent a weekend at his hotel whilst we were in Medway, visiting family. Was by far the cheapest hotel, in the perfect location for us. Upon reading reviews, I was slightly concerned about what we would actually get, but were very pleasantly surprised. The staff from the moment we entered the hotel, were amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a prefect stay. The hotel is a little outdated in parts, but it was very obvious during our stay that improvements were being made in the hotel. The food (both evening meals and breakfast) were delicious. We left
the hotel with no complaints at all and would definitely return. Please don’t believe everything you read.

The company I work for booked myself and some colleagues into this hotel for a couple of nights while we were down for a course. Had a lovely stay. The food and drinks at the reception bar were brilliant. The food was actually outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The Lady on reception was friendly and her customer service was outstanding. We had the best first evening. Would come again myself if I ever needed to stay down this way.

Had a lovely river view room with my husband, after a party that was held on the premises. The party itself was amazing and the room was perfect. Couldn’t fault the staff at all, they were brilliant and ever so accommodating from start to finish. Nothing was too much for them. Would come again.

It is well located, 5 min walk from the train station, so if you need that location the hotel is fine for a night. It is a basic hotel. Staff was nice and coffee was good.
There was a lot of noise and people were slamming door at 4 am.

Close to town centre. Free parking on site.
Room not cleaned for 2 days so bin ended up overflowing. Dated.

Very little
The walls were unclean and the bed is right up against the wall
The shower is really outdated and so small that the shower curtain (and I don’t know how often they’re cleaned) physically touches you
The cleaner came in between days but only hung up my towel, I didn’t even get a fresh glass.
No plug sockets near the bed
The doors are noisy so you can hear everyone on your floor coming in and out.
2.5 / 5.0
Convenient location, close to the town square and everything I wanted to do.
Staff were nice, Had no problems checking in or out.
The view from the top floor was pleasant
Facilities & the room itself were pretty minimal - everything was simply passable
I expected a little more in the way of room size & facilities considering the price point for a single night
Some towels were stained
The TV channels stopped working altogether sometime in the night and didn't start working again

was not told that breakfast finished at nine so was very rudely informed when we entered the restaurant that we were not welcome at 9am as it had finished 1 min ago

The bed was lovely and comfortable and big. Nice towels. The staff were lovely.
The carpet was grubby and rucked up, the bathroom grouting was also tatty, I was disappointed as this was a superior room. No one serving at the bar on arrival.

Location
The most unfriendly receptionist ever met. Rude.
Chef not available some evening, no pre-warning.

lack of evening meals

We were attending an event at the venue, so it was convenient.
The radiator in the bedroom was absolutely boiling hot, and the thermostat didn't work, so we weren't able to turn the radiator off. Unfortunately the window only opened a couple of inches because of safety catches. We reported this to the reception but they took no action to rectify this and said that they couldn't offer us a different room. Needless to say we got very little sleep, it actually made me feel ill. Both my friend and I are menopausal and need fresh air and a cool room to be able to have a decent night's sleep. Disappointing.
4.0 / 5.0
Nice welcome, no fuss, not luxury, but clean and everything you need for a good night's sleep, in a good location at a great price.
Thin pillows, and the bathroom plumbing spring to mind - but nit picking really.
