A family owned B&B, very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. We felt like we were staying on their traditional Sicilian farm. We only stayed one night, I would have liked to stay a week! It was so peaceful and the pool was very welcoming on a hot day. Breakfast(included for us) was served on the terrace by the family and was traditional Sicilian fare. Delicious! We were very happy with our room. The location, WOW! You can see three of the temples in the Valley of the Temples from here.

What a special property! You can see the three main temples of the Valley of the Temples from the pool and the breakfast desk, and the villa is magisterial. Best of all, the hosts are INCREDIBLE!
We're light sleepers, so there are downsides to staying in a traditional place near lots of farm animals. We fully understood, though, that this was what we were getting ourselves into when we booked.

The children loved the animals, especially the piglets!
The location and view of the ruins was fantastic and the owners were helpful and friendly.
In the family room the second double bed was quite small for an 11 and 7 year old to share.

Beautiful location with stunning views.

I loved everything about our stay at villa San Marco. I loved the long & narrow dirt road to the small gate to enter surrounded by acres & acres of farmland. Seeing all of the animals with pots of beautiful flowering plants and succulents all over the property. The sounds of all of the birds with the temples in the background with numerous gardens and places to sit throughout was simply magical. The family of this B & B are just lovely and very hospitable. Don’t hesitate to stay here if you would like the experience of a true agriturismo.
Not a thing

Location, constant, unobstructed view of temples and staff, especially Salvatore, cannot be improved. Could not imagine a better place for the money here
You are warned prior to coming that there is a 1.5km dirt road and farm animals on site. So not really fair to list any of those, but road is a challenge indeed. Still well worth the payoff at the end

The B&B is in a perfect location to enjoy the countryside around the Valley of the Temples and visit the archaeological museum. We arrived in Agrigento by train and were able to get around with public transportation. We loved the walk down the dirt road from the museum to the villa.
The family made us feel at home, the food was homegrown, homemade, and delicious. It was entertaining to wander around the grounds to see the animals and view the temples in the distance.

The homemade diner was amazing, the view from the pool
The quality of the bed could be improved, overall untidy surroundings of the property, the small room where we had breakfast was not appropriate.

Villa San Marco is in a wonderful location with stunning views across the valley towards the temples. But more than that, the atmosphere and welcome were fantastic - from the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Anywhere that has an honesty bar tends to be, in our experience, a great place! The pool is stunning, and the dinner we had both nights was exceptional value and very, very good.

Such a lovely stay with wonderful hosts and and huge array of animals - our 3yo absolutely loved it! They also have a toddler that he loved playing with. Great breakfast, and an offer of a buffet meal on the first night and aperitivo on the second. Beautiful location though access is a bit bumpy on unpaved roads.
Was woken at 4am by the onsite cockerels!

This guest house close to the Valley of the Temples is run by a lovely family. The gardens, with views of the temples are lovely to sit in, both in the daytime and evening. The breakfast and a meal we had one evening was delicious. We were lucky to stay 2 nights, but would love to come back for longer.
Nothing.

We had a fantastic time. The room and kitchen were excellent with plenty of amenities. There is a pool, a farm and entertaining room in the family villa for the guests containing a small shop with handmade items. We were made to feel incredibly comfortable and warmly welcomed by the family. The family provided an excellent breakfast spread mostly consisting of food sourced from the farm and is handmade carefully and lovingly by family members; almond milk, eggs, yoghurt, courgette jam etc as well as cakes. The views are scenic with temples in eyeshot, overlooking olive groves and various plants and trees, overall the villa is a calming haven. Thank you to all at villa San Marco for sharing your home with us - it was a wonderful experience and our only wish is that we stayed longer.
We look forward to seeing you again soon
We loved every bit of it

Super friendly and welcoming family runs this BandB. Additionally to breakfast, they had a dinner offer and both were very generous servings and delicious; including some of their own home made products. They shared their own home with the guests and it makes you feel that you are experiencing true Italian culture. The farm is beautifully decorated. English was not an issue, the dogs were friendly, cheap beverages (beer and wine) operated with an honesty box system which is very unusual in Italy. There are stunning views of the temples, the fotos do not do it justice; plus it is a fraction fo the cost from the resort nearby. We only booked one night just to see the temples, but we wished we stayed longer just to enjoy Villa San Marco and the welcoming family.
Nothing, it was all great.

Sicilian towns are complicated to work out and this B&B was happily out of Agrigento proper by about 2 kms and adjacent to the Valley of the Temples. Salvatore sent WhatsApp photos of road entry which was very useful. The B&B arrangement was very good. The location and facilities were spacious and relaxing. Breakfast was larger than most and tasty. The B&B is a farm and has hens, peacocks, etc and a view of the Temple of Concordia.
We liked everything!

Extremely personal welcome into this beautifully terraced villa overlooking the Temples of Agrigento. We were offered the best aperitif that night made by son in law chef who excells in making fresh sushi. We opted for this meal offer 2 nights in a row as going back into town did not seem worth the trouble of driving g on the bad road. Lovely relaxing place where a rooster wakes you up, peacocks roam about and dogs sleep at your feet. Could have stayed here for a week!
The road to the villa along the excavation is in very bad condition but hosts are not allowed to alter it. (Historic site). Just drive very slowly and hope nobody comes along in the other direction. You get used to it but best not to try in the dark.

This is the best place we've every stayed - and we have traveled a lot, so that's saying something! It exceeded our expectations in every respect. The location is great, and the view from the swimming pool across to three of the ancient temples in the Valle Dei Templi is astonishing. The family that live there and run the business are so welcoming and helpful. They have lots of animals and they're all delightful. We have never felt so at home anywhere we have stayed away from our own home. And I don't think we have ever stayed anywhere that is better value for money, frankly - if I could give more than 10/10 for any of the categories in this review, I certainly would for that!
Not under the control of the family - but the last 1200 metres or so to drive to the property from the local Q8 fuel station is on a rocky, dirt road. However, if you're not driving a 4x4, stick to less than 15 km/h and do it in first gear, and you'll be fine. :-)

Perfect location! The entire villa was so enchanting, the breakfast was amazing, and it was so peaceful and close to the Valley of the Temple.

Just loved this beautiful place. Lovely people with a real passion for customer service. The food provided on the eve of our arrival and our breakfast was fantastic. Loved meeting all the animals which were never a problem to us.
Nothing at all.

Large estate with animals, trees, a lot of benches, tables for sitting outside, small swimming pool. Naturally, a lot of parking space. Accommodation is in the bungalows, rooms with private bathroom, and shared kitchen and dining table. There are also, in the main house, more common rooms – library, lounge with TV. Room and bathroom are perfectly clean. The host, Sebastiano, is very helpful, always at the disposal when we needed something, he also gave us some great tips for visiting Valley of the temples. The whole familiy of the owners live there and you get the feeling like you are staying with the relatives. Breakfast was very nice.
Common space (kitchen and the dining space) could be maintained a bit better. Also some tables and the benches in the garden were soiled by the birds.

The villa San Marco offers breathtaking views to the "valley of Temples" of Agrigento right from their small pool. The breakfast was the best we've had in Italy, ever, and the many, many animals on the property (dogs, guinea pigs, dwarf pigs, peacocks, ducks, cats and many more...) were a delight for our teenage children. Although we stayed for only one night, it was absolutely memorable.

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and antipasta platter for evening. Lovely location overlooking the temples. Very relaxed atmosphere away from the bustle of the town. Beautiful setting. Everything was easy. Very private. Air conditioning was great. A lovely place to stay. Pool was refreshing after the heat. A family affair. Everyone was smiling. Good location for archaeological site and Scala dei Turchi.
Everything good

Everything about this place was great. The location couldn't be better: right in the middle of the Valley of the Temples, 15 minutes from the Turkish Steps, and 20 minutes form Punta Bianca.
The family that owns it is awesome, they really make you feel welcome and that they are happy to have you there.
The villa is really amazing, the property, the pool overlooking the temples, their animals... I cannot recommend it enough.
