The breakfast menu had a large variety of high quality food. The service was excellent. The pool staff promptly met all of our needs. Everything we requested was fulfilled with no hesitation.
There is nothing to comment about,

Rooms were big and comfortable. Food was good (but don't forget to make reservations before 5pm or else will have to wait to be seated). Facilities were nice and clean. Staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive.
Not much. Perhaps that we have to return the towels, lol. Seriously, great stay except sound of construction is ongoing.

It was top class and the food was wonderful. Our stay included breakfast which was excellent. freshly made quesadillas and omelets were wonderful. Right in the beach and easy access to the town and marina area

The breakfast buffet was provided as "included" upon check in. This was not expected but this really added to our satisfaction! The buffet was wonderful everyday! Also, staff members were well trained, very friendly and pleasant at all times.
Upon booking, although not guaranteed there were option requests for king size bed and ocean view. Upon check in, we were informed these options did not exist unless you upgraded to a larger room/rate. This practice is misleading.
Unfortunately, there were plumbing problems, so we went without hot water for 2 days. There was no apology, nor any offer to make amends.

We loved the location, the pool, the beach access and the staff
We arrived on Friday. We had no hot water Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday mornings. All we were offered was “You can use the spa facilities. They have hot water.”. The plumbing everywhere was at the end of its design life and needs to be upgraded.
The room was nice but dated. They gym equipment was lower end. They had one exercise bike which didn’t work. The elevator nearest our room was out of order with no effort being made to repair it. we had to use the stairs.
We HATED the pressuring to go to a time share presentation. We originally agreed but changed our mind. When we backed out we were asked to return our meal discount cards. Haha. That was lame.
The only way the hotel would assist in booking activities or getting discounts for activities was if we would agree to listen to a presentation. Our experience is that these presentations are high pressure even though they assure you they won’t be.
The restaurants were okay but way overpriced. We paid a lot for very small portions. For instance, $25 for fish and chips that included 4 very small fish portions.

major renovation. Jackhammer all day long. This means that can you can not enjoy the pool or the beach near the property , because of the noise.

It is stunning. there are multiple pools and a restaurant in a pirate ship. it’s big but still pretty cozy. The waiters and all the staff are outstanding. Very charming & attentive. we loved Osvald & Samuel.
It’s starting to show age, but the point is moot since they are renovating. I would have liked a hotel bar.

The breakfast was wonderful and perfect setting looking out at the arch. It was costly at $44 per person.
The room we had was being painted on the outside, so the painters were on our balcony and on ladders for two days, therefore we did not get to use the spacious balcony to relax and enjoy.

At first the price seemed extreme for the all inclusive rate. However, immediately we were treated like royalty, all the food and drinks were delicious, high quality and endless. Regular prices are high, at the resort and in town! The serving staff were amazing and genuinely friendly. They celebrated my birthday 5 times 🥳
So, the 9 rating is ONLY because the front desk/lobby staff were cold and impersonal. Except for Monse and Kevin, the rest need a lesson on customer service from the serving staff!

location
the bed and bedding were worn to a frazzle The mattress was worn out. the pillows were old and smelled of old worn out bedding. I have stayed here on many occasions and never once felt like the facilities were taking advantage of me. I am a UVC member and disappointed with the care given to replace bedding and beds with quality. it means everything.

Everything was overpriced. Also, my family that lives in Cabo were not allowed to come in to visit us.

We are incredibly pleased with Villa del Arco. Great location, wonderful property, and fantastic staff. Every restaurant within the property was great. We did not have a bad meal. We booked our vacation in June and had no idea September was the rainy season in Cabo. We had the misfortune to be there for Tropical storm Javier and while Hurricane Kay threatened to make landfall. The staff at the hotel were terrific they did not skip a beat; they worked 24 hours a day making sure that the guest were comfortable and that we were at ease, and that they were there to help us if trouble should arise. I'm extremely pleased and look forward to visiting them again in the future.
Because of Tropical Storm Javier and Hurricane Kay, the area was highly humid. The humidity was so bad that everything in the room felt wet. The doors do not seal properly, so the humidity was terrible in the room.

The staff was very helpful they tried to accommodate my family. The omelet bar at el patron was yummy and so was the dinner.
Poor wifi. My families room was far apart but atleast on the same floor.

The breakfast was delicious, with a lot of options.
But the most incredible is the view you get while you are taking your breakfast. It's simply outstanding for the arc.
In our case, we chose the all-included service, which is the best tip I can give you. The food and drinks are insanely expensive (inside the hotel or even outside, it's a touristic area). A small beer easily costs you $100 (pesos), a standard breakfast is 500 pesos/person, and a dinner for two persons around 1500 pesos (without wine and just average food). And with the all-included, you will pay less and get much more food and access to excellent and unique dishes/drinks.
So, please ask for the all-inclusive services. I promise you it will be much cheaper than buying and paying for the food every time you consume something.
An extra: with the all-included service, you also get access to several free activities, and the instructor is terrific: We tried paddle board and kayak (always with the arc in your background/view). And the beach is amazing. I would even say much better than some very known beaches like "playa del Amor," the waves here are not so strong, you can actually swim with a fantastic view. 5 stars resort indeed!
It's a very expensive hotel. But in my opinion, and at the end of our stay there, it really worth it because you have a lot of services included.

Location was great. Staff were too critical about the details. In a vacation you need flexibility I did not receive. Changing rooms. Too many regulations but we had a good time overall.
Too much rules. Charged me on all inclusive for food!
