Cleanliness , location, support and well informed staff .

The location of the hotel was awesome. The staff was there to meet with us with a huge smile 😃 The rooms were clean, simple, neat, and have little details. The lobby is amazing with old furniture, and we feel like we're in an antique house.
Only one of the towels has a dirt.

The stairs. We're steep

location central, yet was very quiet, comfortable good bed, friendly and really helpful staff, beautiful antiques throughout the property and the bedrooms have been recently done with good taste and not overstated elegant style.
it could have been cheaper and would have been nice to have had a view out the window but one can't have everything!

The people in the hotel were really nice, the location is great you are in the middle of the town, and the room was small ( all what I need) but really cute, I will 100% recommended.

Great place! Friendly, helpful owner (or manger) with good English skills. Charming, clean, comfortable and well located. What's not to like?

Very central for the square so in a perfect location. This is a very traditional Portuguese pension and is a very welcoming place. The staff are very helpful. Sadly after the pandemic they no longer serve breakfast but that is reflected in the cost of the room and there are several places within metres to get something to eat. Our room overlooked the road but it was very peaceful . There was everything there you may need .
There was no plug for the bath and the shower did not have a bracket on the wall so it was quite difficult to shower.

This lodging is a bit of a time capsule. It might date back to the turn of the century so 1900 to 1920, or thereabouts. Common areas are well-kept though dated. Dining room is pretty with views onto the Convent of Christ Hill. Owner is friendly enough. My room was ckean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking ceramic rooves. The town of Tomar is very quiet at night, at least in midweek September.
Stairs to the European 2nd floor were quite steep. I think people with mobility issues could have problems getting to the 1st floor and, then, especially to the 2nd floor. Then again, this was the construction of over a century ago, I believe.

Room dreadfull, no aircon as described, just a air cooler, which we had to fill up several times during night.

Location, staff and cleanlines. The location is perfect. The staff is very nice and very aware of everything, they really make you feel comfortable. The cleanliness of the room was very ok and the bed very comfortable.
The worst thing for me are the furnitures. Extremely old. Would be great if they change the furnitures, look that you are in the XIX Century. Fortunately everything is very clean, but my suggestion is to change the furniture and modernize in general the hotel.

Ancient building, a bit gloomy (not a very lively place), but located in the main street of the historical section of Tomar, so for me it was the best and definitely worth the price.
Not a very modern hostel, just don't expect too much

Very nice helpful host. Nice clean room. Access to a full sized refrigerator ( we were able to make ice which was a bonus). Charming place if not a bit quirky. Shame the kitchen wasn’t more serviceable. Right in the middle of town, great location.
Room a bit small, beds kind of hard yet they were ok. Narrow steep stairs to get to second floor. Pretty basic accommodations.

Wonderful old, atmospheric building in wonderful location right on the pedestrianised main street in Tomar. Restaurants, cafes , bars and shops all within easy walking distance

Charming, old-styled hotel in the pedestrian zone in the historic town center. Our room was comfortable with an amazing balcony overlooking the rooftops of the old town. The hotel does not serve breakfast, but there are many cafés and restaurants in the area. We recommend pastelaria at the end of Rua da Silva Magalhães for breakfast and delicious sweet and savory pastries. (I think its name is Rialto, but I'm not sure.)
steep stairs to the second floor

I liked the location. It was right in the centre of the main shopping street with cafes and restaurants. It also had easy access to the river and very close to the train station.
Because of the location, it was noisy and I could not leave my window open.

The location is great, on a pedestrian street near the main Praça
A small room, for a low price… perfectly good enough for 1 night!
