Una noche en Barcelona

Lo que mas me gusto fue su personal muy amable.

el alojamiento no esta del todo mal pero las camas no son cómodas para una noche pues bueno no pasa nada. El baño podría estar mejor y me fui a duchar por la noche y no había agua caliente. Tiene una maquina vending en el primer piso que para cosas de emergencia no esta mal.

A room with no basic things.

Location and Receptionist approach

A room with no cup boards to keep your clothes but a little hanger stand. No dressing table or at least a mirror in the room. No kettle in the room. No complimentary water bottles. Tiny Europe style bath space. No basic kit of tooth brush and paste. All you get a room with beds and pillows. If you call it as a budget friendly, so be it.

Aceptable pero no bueno.

Cerca de la parada de metro.

La ducha fatal, se sale todo el agua. Muchísimo ruido. La habitación no estaba bien limpia ni el wc. No había recepción física cuando llegamos, tuvimos un problema al hacer el check in y llamamos donde indicaban y nadie respondía.

Was a great experience, for so little money.

The rooms are small but very comfortable. The same is true for the bathroom too. Some rooms have a nice balcony with a nice view. The location is good. There is a market very close to the hostel, the metro station is about 5-10 minutes walk away, and there are some cheap cafes and bars around.

The self-check-in was somewhat complicated. For 3-person check-in, we spent about 15-20 minutes outside, because the machine could not read the passports and all information was imputed manually. The reception is not 24h, however, they managed to secure luggage storage on checkout day for the whole day for free. The energy-saving system was stupid. After every opening and closing of the door, it was switching off.

Limpieza.

Baño extra pequeño, debería tener un box o vidrio en la ducha. También faltaría un frigobar en la habitación. Me incomodaba un poco que se apaguen las luces al sólo abrir o cerrar la puerta de afuera.

Nice hotel at Barcelona

It's clean, close to metro station, air con work properly, and bright due to wide windows. The automatic system is also nice

It will be better if there is a detailed information such as video on how to check in the vending machine, and then open doors using code, and so on until we get into the room.

The best food in Barcelona, near the hotel :))). Not joking. Near the tube station and a big market. the room was not small. y≈

Bathroom is not very clean, it was old. There was no kettle in the room (Spanish people do not drink tea we were told, but we are not Spanish and like tea, so get a kettle for every room, please:)))). There were plates but no washing liquid in the room (we wanted from the staff and they gave us after two days (asking after second time). You can hear noise from other rooms.

Clean rooms. Receptionist agreed to change room to more comfortable.

Poor sound isolation. You are at the battlefield between street and neighbours. Reception is closed half of the day. No shower accessories.

If I come back to Barcelona I will be in Hostal Athenas for sure

We really like our stay in Hostal Athenas! On the first place I recommend it because they offer cheap prices for location close to the metro (5 minutes walk), also it's close to supermarket, cafe and place for yummy breakfast. With the metro you can go to Sagrada Familia for 20 minutes. The hostel stuff everyday change the towels and make the beds, that it's super nice!!! Our last day they give us an option to use baggage storage that helps us a lot!!!

Cozy little space

The accomodation was neat, our room was cleaned each day during our visit and they even provided clean towels every day. The staff was really nice. It is a cozy little place in a quiet area, perfect for a good rest after exploring Barcelona all day long. Would recommend for those who want private space on a budget. Greetings from Hungary.

Area ist not too close to the center but can easily reached by train. supermarket and very good Café is nearby

A satisfied family from Montenegro

Very nice accommodation, according to the price. Shops, restaurants, market are very close. The accommodation is clean, tidy and the staff very good. They immediately helped with all questions and requests. Well connected to the metro, so that all of Barcelona is easily accessible.

The beds are a little uncomfortable, but after walking all day, it's not a big problem to fall asleep right away 😃

A perfect stay in Barcelona at Hostal Athenas.

This hotel is phenomenal! It was a perfect location while staying in Barcelona with a seamless check in and check out process. The best part was how friendly and responsive the staff were whenever I needed something. The value staying here is impossible to beat, and I would recommend that anyone traveling to Barcelona stay here. It was a flawless experience!

reception people very kind and very helpful , room was big enough for 3 people,great room service clean every day ,bathroom good as well, very good location very close to few supermarket and delicious bakery next door , 7 minute walk to metro ,15 minutes from central BARCELONA , amazing idea that is there machine with drinks and snacks .

My stay was rather good, easy check-in, welcoming staff, good experience overall

Self check-in was super easy, the room was very clean and modern, staff had good attitude and was very helpful, room service also was always in good spirits and responding with warm welcome and smile, pretty well located - surrounded by many cafes and bars and restaurants,(A good hint would be that in the area it is good to know some Spanish to visit shops and cafes, although it's manageable to pull through without knowing much of it, people are rather open and helpful.) not to far from metro station. Also I had a special request about having a bicycle in the room, and Hostal staff made no issues, they also offered option to drop off the luggage including bike before my check-in and to tore it in the room.

Unfortunately AC was not well maintained, and AC unit in my room had to be fixed during my stay, although I would mention that hostal staff was making what they could to minimize the inconvenience it caused. facilities were very minimal, this information is not hidden from anyone, but it is good to be aware, and double check what's included.

i would recommend this to anyone and will come again and again for sure.

it has been the second time I have come to this hotel and I extended my stay for another week simply because for me in barcelona or around the city there is no better place to be. its been years I came to the city but nowhere this great with fantastic shops and restaurants and markets and parking around for a better value and much quieter than the center of barcelona. this feels more real and like home away from home.

on my third day when the lock of my room was sorted out.

The key wont open the outside door and it hard to lock the room of my door. I need to get another key I was struggling to close the handle of my room and on the first day it wont open my room when I come back.
