The older woman helping at breakfast was friendly.
We have a very gently great Dane which has joined us in over 20 hotels in the past few years without any issues. We also never had a conflict before when going on holiday. Unfortunately, our stay here was ruined due to a conflict situation with the host. Although we specifically looked for a place where dogs are welcome (and for which we pay extra), we did not feel welcome here and would not recommend staying here for people coming with a (bigger) dog and/or people who do not speak properly German (everything is in German without translation).
At arrival, the host was not very welcoming but started complaining about how we created chaos with our reservation. We changed the dates (one day later) via booking (which was possible as we chose a flexible cancellation policy). Then upon confirmation, Booking asked us whether we wanted to upgrade to a bigger room, which we did. Unfortunately, we did not get this room. While this was not a big issue for us, it was not very nice that the first thing the host started talking about was how this created chaos and that we are not allowed in the bigger room because we do not have kids and because the dog is not allowed in the bigger room. If this is the case, which is fine, it should be mentioned on the site (which was not the case).
The next day we went out for a hike, and when we returned, there was a paper (all in German, no English translation) on the bed. When I went down to ask for an explanation, it came to a discussion in which the host very blamingly mentioned that the sheets of the bed, in her opinion, were extremely dirty due to the dog (we have a very gentle great Dane which is taller than the bedside) and we had to pay 30 euros for cleaning. In reality, there were two minor stains on the back of the bed, which came off immediately with some soap (picture attached). We also had a sheet with us that we laid over the coach for the dog. All in all, we found the communication very unfortunate and did not like the fact that the host came into the room to check the sheets while we were not there. The next day, we received yet another paper during breakfast from Google Translate. As a result, our stay was not relaxing here and very stressful.
I suggest making proper English translations and talking directly to gasts in a friendly way when there is an issue. That way, it might be resolved without ruining people's stay.
Other minor things:
- no soap in the shower
- the pillows are very soft, so we took our pillows upstairs the next day.

The location is fine, a quiet village. The room was exceedingly comfortable, very spacious, with a wonderful view from the room’s balcony. Breakfast was good. Everything was very clean. Good bakery nearby as well as several restaurants from nearby hotels., and s small grocery store. The area is beautiful! Internet was excellent.
Only shortcoming, practically no interaction with the owners, with the exception of the first morning when we received a small map of the village. We were new to the area and would have appreciated a little more information. When I needed an extra blanket and pillow, I found the cleaning woman and she was helpful.

Wonderful staff! Dinner and breakfast was fabulous

The room was plenty big for our family of 4. The breakfast was fantastic and was included in our room rate. The dinner was one of the best we have ever had. I had the onion beef roast and my kids had the 1/2 chicken. Both amazing. My kids were just in heaven watching the horses and the animals next door (bunnies, chickens, turkeys...) and playing on the slide by the entrance. The owner was kind enough to set up a horseback ride on a mini horse with her neighbor for our kids to go for a ride. We also arranged with them to have a horse drawn carriage ride that was lovely. The staff was kind and accommodating. We don’t speak german but they were very patient with us. Would absolutely recommend.

I was very dissapointed. This was supposed to be family fun trip in the countryside. The website stated that this the hotel has German and English speaking staff, horseback riding and a farm to enjoy for the little ones. However when we got there. Our rooms were filled with flies. My husband must have wrapped like 15 from only ours. The hotel restaurant had only German many and waitress was not bylabgual but was very polite. With three kids it look us over 25 minutes to figure out and order food. Then after that, I asked to stay only one night and to pay only one night. At first, the cheif said ok and to wait for the lady owner. When, she came and the chief said no "this is not how we do it here" you need to pay for two days because your reservation is for two days. The lady owner said pretty much the same thing and when I tried to inquire about horseback riding she was rude said to come come back in October. And could not explain to me how to make a reservation ahead of time. she was very rude. Even the next morning for breakfast. She said, "What you can't read" and then tried to explain the menue in front of my whole family. We will NEVER come back to stay there. I paid for two nights and we spent only one. My husband spent half of the night swapping flies. These people are raisist towards different nationalities. Their desception on booking.com is incorrect and misleading.
Absolutely nothing.
