Location is great and the breakfast was delicious.
It is attached to an education centre and we felt that we were potentially in the wrong place. The communal areas such as breakfast room and the bar lacked personality and felt like we were at a function. The rooms were clean but could benefit from a make over/bathroom upgrade. The shower was tiny and water pressure poor. Also the pillows were completely flat. I feel like it was a little over priced.

Location excellent , a very well presented hotel , great staff very good breakfast
Room was on the small side , a little difficult to move around , no lift available . The fans from the kitchen extremely noisy outside our window from 7.09am. Breakfast was from 8.00am till 10.00am but we also had to cate room by 10.00am?
4.2
Clean comfortable good sized rooms. Plentiful breakfast freshly cooked.
The accomodation block us separate from the main building that houses reception and dining rooms.
No guest information in the bedrooms about e.g. how to operate the heating system or meal times..

lovely setting

Building was beautiful and in a very scenic spot. Views from the hotel are amazing. Spacious carpark with ample disabled bays. Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. Our room was very big, beds were comfy and clean linen. Loads of lighting and plug points.wifi was good. My daughter was gaming on it. There was 1 heater in our room that was more than enough. Facilities were very clean. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Good selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and cooked breakfast. Lots of drink choices. We normally stay at a typical budget hotel, this was much cheaper, loads nicer and breakfast thrown in
Will definitely be returning.
Tv was a little small and wet room flooring was in need of a very small repair. This is me nitpicking though as neither had any impact on our stay.

The staff where helpful and friendly, especially Jim the bar manager.
We had the afternoon tea and it was excellent!
In the bathroom there was no mirror over the sink it was on a side wall, making it impossible to have a wet shave!

Room was not very warm, though the weather was very cold. Food in the bar - the menu was limited.

good location.
no child’s menu. gift delivered for a member of our party was held at reception but we weren’t told it was there even when we checked out no one mentioned that anything had been sent for us.

nothing to like to dislike
I was put in the furthest part of the hotel accommodation
after entering the accommodation block ( I will call it this for want of a better description
I had 9 flights of stairs to climb before reaching my accommodation level

good car parking,good breakfast.Staff helpfull.
A bit of a maze with too many stairs and no lift. Easy to miss signpost and entrance. Noisy loft boiler.

Old building with lots of Character and a lovely view from my room
bit of a maze but added to its charm

Staff, surroundings, bar and food were excellent.
Bed was far too small. Two very uncomfortable nights sleeps. Hardly any room for 2 people. Worst Bed I have slept in for years.

staff at check in/out and breakfast were extremely friendly and polite.
Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.
Size of room fine for short stay or if not using the room much.
Good sized bathroom.
Didn’t see much of it as arrived late and left early but area seemed lovely, wish I’d had more time to explore.
Thin walls, could here the guest in the room next door in the phone clearly.
Bathroom light and extractor fan on motion sensor, so if you nip to the bathroom in the night both are on for a good few minutes.
Some sort of loud generator or fan outside room that started early in the morning.

Great hotel, Don't be put off by the NASUWT banner. The room, staff and breakfast were all really good. The staff were so helpful and friendly from the cleaners through to reception staff. Would definitely return.
We thought it looked a bit "corporate" in the dining room and reception area. I have to say though that when we told the receptionist she was happy to hear our comments and said it is always good to get feedback and work to improve, which was great to hear.
