Fantastic location and buffet meals well exceeded our expectations. Great onsen facilities - particularly upstairs.
I had requested a high floor room but ironically was allocated a bottom floor room. Coffee in downstairs cafe was disappointing

Good location. Good view to the firework.
Price don’t justify the room, breakfast, dinner standard except for location.

盛りだくさんの朝食はとても美味しかったです。
お部屋の清潔さがあまりなく残念でした。
床の段差が気になりました。

Location and hot springs
Limited and set time for dinner & breakfast - should be more choice & flexible

櫃檯服務態度很棒!
洗澡的水較不好控制溫度。

早餐比晚餐好吃
晚餐的蝦子一次只給一隻,對於只喜歡吃蝦的人要排個7-8次

Onsen's were great and easily the best part about the stay (a shame that tattooed guests would be turned away however - such an archaic policy).
Location was great and cafe/library downstairs was nice. Seperate washing machines and dryers were a nice change of pace from the combo units at most other locations.
Despite being well looked after and cleaned, most of the hotel *felt* old and dirty - like a rundown motel. A renovation/restyling would do well.
Buffet was okay, but the taste and options for food left quite a bit to desire. And some staff made the process rather confusing.
For the price per stay, I would have expected far better overall.

Very nice onzen spa and lake view room.
both the public area and room have quite big space,
Nice hotel decoration.
Walking distance to Lake Toya, Toyako Bokutou souvenir store(越後屋), bus stop and 7-11.
Food is average standard only.

The view from the room to the lake was superb. We could watch the firework from the room. The hotel is right next to the lake and easy to go to the lake for a walk. Breakfast was great with quite a lot of choices and tasty. Facilities are generally nice and well maintained.
Not much to complain about.
4.1
- the view being next to the lake and you can see the fire works from the room
- public bath is on the top floor with excellent view
- good breakfasts and dinners; however the menus were repetitive
- the room was clean and comfortable although the first room have a smell of cigarettes
- having a smoking room (even though they claimed it was isolated) dispersed on certain floor indoor still contaminate the clean air. There’s a trace of cigarette smell in smaller non-smoking room. But I find this to be true in most Japanese hotels unless the whole establishment is anti-smoking. I look forward to the day when Japan bans indoor smoking altogether.
- sewage smell in the hallway of higher floors. This could be due to the humidity… but I think it’s sewage.
- switch up the menu a bit for the breakfasts and dinners would help :)

Great view overlooking Lake Toya. Large onsen on both the Basement and Level 8. Provided kids yukata and slippers. Breakfast & dinner buffet has huge variety.
Nice and friendly staff.

value for money.

The only thing that gave away the age of this hotel were the conventional metal keys and keyrings, instead of card system. It’s a huge hotel with in-room yutaka and the room was spacious. we loved the lakeside location (great for watching summer fireworks) and the footbath right by the lake.
international buffet breakfast was wonderful!
the staff struggled to communicate in English but most of the information were available in English in print so we were fine.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night only and have regretted it ever since. This hotel definitely is worth, at the very least, 2 nights stay. We also loved the breakfast and the myriad of choices available during the breakfast buffet. The onsen location are different for morning and night so try to stay longer so you can enjoy both night and morning onsen and also the attractions around the hotel and area. We had a short walk outside the hotel along the lake and really enjoyed it.

The room size is very good. We still have space to walk despite opening our luggage. The sink is outside the toilet which is convenient. However water tends to splash all over.
The buffet breakfast and dinner is superb with lots of choices. The quality is also good. Very value for money.
The onsen on the 8th floor is beautiful. A must to visit.
The furnishings is a little dated but the facilities n food made up for it.

Friendly, helpful and professional staff, great view from the room and stunning view from the rooftop Onsen.
Booking.com should provide other, specific meal options. I would have selected a different option to the buffet, as this was not a pleasant experience. Some of the food looked okay, but much of it was fairly unappetising and not representative of the proud food culture that is present everywhere in Japan. It was a mix of domestic and internationally-inspired dishes, but none appeared to have been prepared with much care or attention to detail. Admittedly, when I booked, I was surprised at the cost being relatively low for a half-board stay, so I should have guessed quality may have been an issue. Unfortunately, the experience was further marred by the aggressive rudeness of many of the othe diners, who didn't seem interested in waiting their turn for food options. In the end, we gave up and got dinner from a nearby convenience store.

The room was accurately described in the listed photos. Neat and clean.

Very nice onsen hotel located right on lake Toya. The staff was very nice and helpful even given the language barrier, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. You have lots a nice ammenities like towels, robes, toiletries, etc. Our room had a lake view which was nice and it was nice to have breakfast included. As for the onsens they were great; there's one in the basement and one on the roof, they switch the times once per day so that the men and women can both experience the nice views from the onsen on the roof. Which I appreciated.
Nothing negative to say to be honest. The only slight down side is that the times for the men to go to the rooftop onsen is from 3:30(AM) to 10AM. But breakfast is at 8am or so, so for the men to enjoy the rooftop onsen you'll have to wake up very early, or squeeze in a little time after breakfast.

The breakfast was good, wide and good spread.
The wardrobe is not clean enough. Too few hangers.

the view from our room and the onsen were both perfect! Food was really nice, staff are all super helpful and friendly. location is convenient, but if you missed the hotel shuttle booking and have to travel from the bus terminal. It will be a bit hard to walk on the snow with luggage
4.1
The location was very good. View of the lake, when not in the midst of a snow storm, was great.
The beds were not that comfortable and the rooms felt a bit stuffy.
4.1
The onsens were good, but the upstairs one were better than downstairs.
Food options were good as well, with an emphasis on regional produce (Hokkaido focused).
Good selection in the gift shop in the lobby. Well situated café with a lakeside view.
As with many hotels in the region if you stay for multiple days you get bonus food which is good, however we had no choice in what food it was and I was served food I was allergic to each day.
