Deuxième séjour au Creta Maris, avec une nette baisse de qualité : produits de toilette,(miel à forte odeur et mauvais pour les cheuveux), chambres et équipements à rafraîchir (douche cassée, machines de gym vieillissantes), hygiène moyenne à la piscine chauffée. Accueil décevant : personnel parfait sauf jeune homme au snack du Waterpark, personne vêtue de longues bottes à l'entrée et monsieur au restaurant Enomy(extérieur côté mer). Buffet répétitif, salades recyclées(soir/midi), desserts industriels, et snack fermé une heure trop tôt. Une expérience plutôt décevante pour un établissement de ce niveau.
Notre chambre avait une vue.latérale sur la mer, de face vers un.mur blanc.

Das Zimmer war doch schon in die Jahre gekommen und roch etwas muffig. Es fehlten Kleinigkeiten für ein 5 Sterne Ressort wie die Kuchen zur Kaffee und Kuchenzeit oder eine Lunchbox wenn man früh los geht. Die beheizten Pools waren für Kinder immer noch zu kalt.

Super freundliches und Hilfsbereites Personal!! Egal wo man im Hotel war! Das muss wirklich gesagt werden!
Besonders im Hauptbereich supersauber und immer ordentlich! Alles top organisiert und jeder hilft bei Fragen.
Wir hatten ein größeres Familienzimmer. Es war Größentechnisch voll ausreichend, auch wenn die Ausstattung sehr einfach gehalten wird.
Für Familien die gern Resorturlaub machen und sich auch gern ein wenig bewegen (Wege zu den verschiedenen Pools, Wasserpark und Meer ;)) einfach schön!
Direkt daneben fußläufig erreichbar ein kleiner Ort.
Man kann wirklich nicht viel bemängeln.. aber was sehr traurig war, dass alle Liegen egal in welchen Bereichen, bereits früh morgens mit Handtüchern reserviert wurden. Was eigentlich nicht so sein sollte, auch laut Homepage. Und dagegen wird auch nicht vorgegangen.

- The restaurants and buffets are good to very good
- Big complex and you don't feel like you're always at the same place
- The rooms are disappointing and relatively old for a 5-star hotel and compared with the rest of the hotel, which is modern
- Rooms are not cleaned properly, and we often found hair that wasn't ours
- Poor soundproofing of bedrooms
- No baby changing table in the men's WC
- Many rocks at the entrance to the sea
- The water included in the all-inclusive package is not bottled water, so for some tourists it's not really drinkable. We were surprised that almost everything was included except bottled of water, even though I think it's basic (only 2 bottles of water offered in the room per day)
- We were disappointed with the popular "Mademi" restaurant, all the dishes were pretty dry and the vegi burger is not a Burger but a "steak" only without a bread
- I didn't understand why you had to announce yourself if you wanted breakfast before 07:30 when there was no control at the entrance and only toast to eat as bread. In the end, nothing was done especially for people who had breakfast before (I went for breakfast at 06:50).

I loved the service level here nothing was too much . We checked in at night someone was there to check us in...The buffet food was good and there were many restaurants to choose a la carte from.
The only issues I had was activities for kids wwere not very many also after dinner activities seemed quiet although it was the end of the season so that could be the reason...the pool bar by the pool as well only served aperol spritz....that was annoying i dont think we had any cocktail or premium drink outside of the lounge bar . Also the pool was freezing

The service was exceptionally good and the place was very clean and modern. The food was excellent, and the restaurants easily accommodated allergies by providing fresh meals. There were so many activities for kids and adults that there was always something to do both inside (for the very hot days) and outside that there was really no reason to leave the resort. Shoutout to Dmitri from the spa for the great massage. There was a bit of a heat wave when we went, but thankfully, there was air conditioning in the room and plenty of shady areas throughout the resort. There was also a large beach with beach chairs that were always available, and it was nice to have access to so many pools and the waterpark. The room was also soundproof, so even though we were situated near the main pool, we couldn't hear the outside music or people. Definitely recommend this resort to others, and hope to visit again in a few years!
The only con was that the room we were in did not have a child lock, so we had to pile a bunch of chairs and bags in front of the door to prevent our toddler from opening the door and leaving in the middle of the night :(

We stayed at the hotel for a couple's vacation in mid-June.
It was one of our perfect vacations.
The amazing service, the varied food, the rich bars, beautiful pools and a fun beach.
An excellent yoga class every day and lots of other activities that we didn't have time to get to everything.
Dimitris from the reception, welcomed us when we arrived and immediately gave us a room (hours before check-in time) and throughout the entire vacation he and the staff members (literally everyone) were kind and ready for any help.
The room we asked for and received was in the bungalows, it was cute and quiet and provided everything we needed. When we asked for a late departure due to an evening flight, we were happy to find that they are prepared for this case with Showers, changing rooms and lockers, and keep the customers under the definition of “all inclusive” until the moment of their departure.

The hotel is super clean, the staff is very generous and kind, willingness to assist with anything, great food - accommodated our vegan food preferences in an amazing way. We will definitely be back and highly recommend on it.

Magnificent resort, rooms and beds of big size, all pools very nice, all very clean, staff super friendly (they wear very nice uniforms), waterpark funny, food and drinks available all the time since they have snack points when restaurants are closed, extraordinary food quality both in buffet and a la carte restaurants. They offer towels to use at the pools or beach and exchange them for clean ones. Worth every bit of it. It takes 30-40 minutes by car to get to Iraklion
Extremelly unconfortable pillows since one is too thin and two are too thick. Amenities are still in small bottles which is disappearing in green conscious hotels, prepare yourself for having to live without coffee, order tea and you will not regret it. Coffee is very bad, period. They should really prepare some smoking areas since now people can smoke in all open areas and having your children play with adults smoking around is very annoying. Let the smokers get their lungs full of nicotine far from our children

It had everything you could ask for in facilities but 2 of the 7 restaurants were a bit ordinary. Very good facilities & surprisingly good food in the main buffet restaurant.

The resort is used by the local village near the resort for example:
1. Gym : very crowded due to the local community which uses it as their sport center
2. Tennis court: can't be booked for many hours because private lessons are held there
3. On one of the night they close a full dinning room (restaurant ) for family event and we left with the simple buffet dinning room

I liked the fact that it had a lot options when it comes to eating, drinking and leisure activities. Very Very nice and helpful man at the reception desk. his experience really showed in his behavior. the girls serving at the tables always smiling was also a nice approach.
the room had a great view, well isolated and large for two people.
I had food poisoning after eating at Alatsi restaurant. Me and my husband had a fever, extreme stomach ache, vomit and diarrhea. This happened the night before our check out. When we reached our country we went straight to the emergency rooms and we were diagnosed with food poisoning. Only god knows how we made it through the 1 hour and a half flight. We consider pressing charges and addressing the European consumers court to check what is going on with that place. We just don’t want others to go through this. Definitely won’t be coming back to this hotel.
Also, the lifeguard at the pool was closing the pool and 5:30 even though the schedule was until 18:30 and he was opening the pool after 9:30 even though the opening hour was 9. the same thing was available for the bar. I tried to order a coffee at 5:40 and the girl there told she closed the espresso machine and she won’t give me the coffee.

Omg. Amazing resort. Clean, so many pools it is never crowded. Water park is so much fun and the staff so very kind. Theme restaurants are delicious. Absolutely amazing. Defenetly coming back.
Beds weren't so comfortable to our opinion. And the fact that parents cannot stay with their toddlers at the kids club. Other than that- was perfect.

Location. Facilities were great. Very busy, but they kept everyone satisfied, pleased.
Impossiblr to get into resort restaurants. Hard sell by photographer was obnoxious. More room for storage of clothes. USB in room would have been a nice convenience.

Location and facilities
This was our second time at Creta Maris. In our first year, we were amazed to see how such a huge all-inclusive hotel with a variety of facilities managed to differentiate themselves from other all-inclusive hotels with great level of coordination thanks also to super experienced staff.
Hotel changed owner since our last time hence we were a bit concerned to see if this will have an impact on the overall experience. Essentially, it's hard to say if all the issues below are caused by the change of ownership but believe it does to an extent.
What was different this year :
1- The coordination was much worse that turned the hotel into a typical chaotic all-inclusive hotel where you see a big crowd during each meal, it was almost impossible to book a slot for restaurants (waking up at 7:30AM did not help as somehow they were always booked earlier).
2- Staff experience also seems to be impacted negatively whereby we saw many new/young staff who were doing their best to help but also was easy to see that they were being exhausted by running from one table to the other.
3- Cleanness of the sea - it was much much better before although this time it might also be impacted by the reletively bad weather i.e due to rain but still, we had a much better experience last time

Beautiful resort - as others have said it is like a Greek village with lovely stone buildings, winding paths and lovely gardens.
We enjoyed the food and drinks and found the all inclusive really good value.
Our pool view room around the Bungalows pool was lovely and we enjoyed lazing by the pool and the Steki Bar.
Quick walk into Hersonnissos for shopping etc.
We would definitely stay again!
There were only a few things we didn’t like. One was the restaurant booking system - we did not manage to make a booking at some of the restaurants despite trying at 6.00am on a few days. In addition, we really liked the Adults Only seafood restaurant and would have liked to eat there more than once since it was frequently quite empty as the resort was full of families with small children.
At the main buffet the drinks service was not great - we never managed to be served more than one drink with a meal.

the reservation of the restaurants first , then only allowed one day in advance and then not allowed to book the same restaurant in a row, considering there are restaurants with adults only and specific day during the week is not opened. would be great if there is more option for vegan food available.

The resort is beautiful with lots of little streets and stairs connecting the rooms and facilities, everything is beautifully decorated and very clean (I was very impressed how clean everything was despite many families with children staying!). It felt like you are staying in a small village. Everything is accessible by stroller as well if needed. The quality of food and drink was really good for an all inclusive place, and especially the a la carte restaurants were fantastic and very nicely presented as well.
More a point of attention than a complaint: You have to book a la carte restaurants a day in advance (and if you are not early enough there is no more space- but the main buffet is also very nice and doe not require reservation). You can also only go to each restaurant once per week, but I understand this is so every guest has a chance to go which is fair enough.
The one thing that was annoying is that even though you are not allowed to reserve spots by the pool/beach, this wasn’t really reinforced by the staff so most chairs were reserved with towels before the pool even opened.
