Amazing staff, super friendly and attentive, couldn't fault it.
The spa- booked a treatment for me and mum. The price advertised didn't indicate how long the treatments were for so.we were charged almost triple for the amount. We added on a scale massage and the therapist for 90% of the time just held my held. Wasn't impressed.

Very handy for airport travel, friendly staff
Big rooms and quiet
There were a fair number of cockroaches 🪳 in our main room and bathroom -
Not pleasant

Nice layout
Not enough food options

Good restaurants and staff
Room smelt stale and damp.

The room was big and comfortable. The dinner was delicious. Great for kids and families
The breakfast was only ok. As a couple it was very much kids oriented, very nosey and not much space to relax with quiet. Also there was a lot of construction going on at the time of our visit

I did not try the Radisson’s breakfasts.
I thought Byblos and the Pool Deck were both very good but found the food not so good at Basilico’s and the seating rules rather rigid
I think it would be much better to
provide light blankets e.g. cotton blankets rather than doonas. The doonas are too hot for a tropical climate and result in many people using the air conditioning at night, thus adding to our overuse of energy and generation of unwanted emissions

Comfy beds
Pool activities
Construction noise
Chaotic breakfast
Over priced food
A member of staff was inappropriate with my 13 yr old daughter

I didn't like that there was work going on at the time of our stay. I appreciate that you need to do work but we should have been told this was happening as it was very noisey and we would have chosen to stay somewhere else.

This resort is well set up with relaxing areas to sit and enjoy the ocean breeze. Rooms were very comfortable and large with very comfy beds. We absolutely loved the adult pool and hot spa. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of options. The restaurant food was great quality but very busy and needed booking.
Unfortunately there was some renovations going on that we weren't notified of which was disappointing.
Wi-Fi was not good around the pool, apparently due to renovations.
3.0
1. Checkin - The concierge accompanying us to the room was uber friendly, a great first impression.
2. Room - Well equipped and matching the description of facilities, with Sofa bed already readied for my 2+1 family's stay.
3. The proximity and open access to neighboring resort plus the Bula bus service at Island was really good, perhaps a lifesaver for booking at this resort. We actually ended up spending plenty of time at Sheraton or Port market instead of own resort.
4. Breakfast packs readied by staff for our 6:15AM departure.
1. A bit of underhand approach in not intimating that Hotel is having major renovations. The Reception has massive boards defiling the look, dont know whether they had proper breakfast area but perhaps if they had then its been run over by construction, noise of jack hammer wasnt the music that resort needs, barricades at placed where worker needed to work, plus the cherry on top of Cement mixer working below my 2nd floor room early morning to rouse us !
2. Hospitality gone missing - Many instances where Service staff excelled in starting with "no" while trying best to roll eyes and look elsewhere so that perhaps their treasured rest isnt disrupted by us fleeced guests. Day 1 - Reception staff forgot to give us welcome drink perhaps coz we had late checkin and staff was tired, forgetting we were tired too (we saw checkins on Day 2 being served this), Day 2 breakfast - staff ignoring request for salt/pepper, as us in 1st-time-trapped-in-soup-kitchen style setup couldnt fathom had to be fought for by guests, Day 2 pool area - staff clarifying that food order at pool can only be post 12 noon if we need something earlier head back to in-room-dining, Day 2 pool area - staff telling us to raise the order flag and wait for them to come when we wanted a coconut water and them triumphantly stating no-coconut in stock while giving proper stare of dont you even know this! Day 3 pool area - staff, relaxing and soaking sun and looking away to discuss within them that why are the guest asking for henna when they are booked out till next 2 days!
3. Lost and long list of rules - Many places simply earmarked for walk-in or family by needing prior booking which no one know how to take coz the booking diary is elsewhere or the place is reserved for adults only (most of pool area is adults only or Spa, leaving only 30% for family with kids), wanting family+kids stay away.
4. Nothing for kids other than pool area or 2 dark-closed-rooms doubling as kids-club...

The staff at the Radisson Blu are lovely and go above and beyond!
Unfortunately the hotel was under renovation - although this wasn’t an issue around noise it impacted the pool surroundings and breakfast areas. The breakfast buffet was held in the ballroom which was very hot and we were the last to attend breakfast and the buffet was looking worse for wear. A lot of aussies who drink and swear heavily around the family pool.

Really awesome staff - truly they were all so friendly and also found every experience staff were very helpful. The place is very well set up for families. Well designed with rooms having good access to everything, just a couple mins to the reception, or beach and less to the pool. Easy to get to port denarau for shopping food and ferries etc. The price is quite high but we thought the value was far better than a cheaper but inferior place we stayed at on Coral coast, particularly as you can easily access outside meals if you want to, that alone brought the overall daily cost to a similar level.
It was a little annoying to find out about renovations that were really pretty disruptive (nailguns and hammering etc right next to the pool all day, the outlook at the pool was a construction site, stuff closed and temporary breakfast set up. I get this has to be done, but after paying full (it's not cheap!) price there wasn't anything to offset that to guests. A free drink or something would be a drop in the bucket and go a long way.

The shows (Dancing and Fire Show) was amazing, very entertaining, and informative.
The welcome each time we arrived back to the Radisson was lovely as was the guitar and singing by Mala.
Mala is such a beautiful man. He is an asset to the Radisson as is Moses. I watched both of these gentlemen interact with the guests to a high degree.
Unfortunately, there were renovations underway and we didn't get to utilize the swim up pool bar, but we were aware of this prior to coming.

The staff and service were great.
They were in the middle of renovations, also our room felt damp but that may have been due to us not realising the door was slighty open which turns off the aircon.
5.0
Great location and the rooms are large with all facilities
Cockroaches in the bathroom (German and normal varieties) the daily room service was very poor with the rooms not cleaned, towels not always changed.

The resort was absolutely gorgeous and well maintained.
The only thing negative I would say is the beds were quite hard.

Lovely people, excellent facilities for families
The construction was a shame but not in the way at all!

The staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, when we arrived, we discovered that the resort was under construction.
Despite mentioning that we were here to celebrate the wife's 50th birthday and paying over 600 NZD to stay one night (no breakfast included) we were situated with a view of the construction yard, a very basic room with the bare minimum of amenities eg. only 2 satchets either coffee or tea, Two towels. The pool areas were surrounded by construction tents and security fencing.
The staff were lovely and friendly, but due to the lack of anything extra being offered at all towards the inconvenience of the construction or any acknowledgement of my wife's 50th birthday we cancelled the breakfast we had to book and pay for, and were very glad that we were leaving the next day to meet our family at another resort.

I was really disappointed because I booked a birthday package with them the room was set but there was no cake and champagne
Had to call them a few times before it came
Thanks

The staff were amazing the whole time. Really were made to feel like family. From the moment you pull up until the moment you leave, your comfort and enjoyment are their main priorities. I would stay there again just because of the staff
The main issue that I marked it an 8 was the renovations. The main restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner closed for renovations 2 days into our stay. With kids there were options for them to eat free but only at the restaurant they closed.

Great resort. Perfect for families. Great place to relax by the pool. Probably not great if you are a couple wanting peace and quiet.
Bunk beds in some rooms would be ideal for families

Really enjoyed my stay. I loved being able to easily get around the resort. The pool didn’t have any steps so very accessible for my elderly mum. Loved the adult pool area and also having an adult breakfast area. The rooms were spacious and housekeeping came regularly to clean and take rubbish and replenish. All the staff are so warm and friendly. Would highly recommend once renovations are complete.
There was some construction noise during the day and as I live near construction, it bothered me a bit. For the money feel should be a little cheaper while renovations are being done.

Great hotel right on the beach set in beautiful tropical gardens. Warm, friendly and attentive staff. Great choice of restaurants onsite and at adjacent hotels.

construction but I understand it has to be done.
Costly vs Bali especially when you pay most your staff $5 an hour.

Loved the size and room layout. Everything was so spacious. A big plus were the washer and dryer, the full kitchen.....fabulous.
We also enjoyed the welcome treat a lot, a lovely touch.
The swimming pool was very large and fun for a day. The toddler area octopus slide was a bit tricky, with no stairs.... and there could have certainly been more of an effort made to make the toddler pool more fun and inviting.
Also, after coming from the islands, we had a false sense of security re: mosquitos (the island resort fumigated 2x a day) so we got shredded to bits by mosquitos that day and night. My little girls were bitten under their dress on their thigh ferociously. So I reccomend using mosquito repellent at the resort and reaplly regularly.
We got to check into our room early. That was a great plus +++.
Last thing, the pull out couch bed was great and the room felt very private, quiet, and homely.
Many thanks to all the staff that made our stay so easy.
Just a few very minor things, like the mosquito, beach was closed and unavailable blocked of with massive sandbags, and we couldn't eat at our restaurant of choice as we didn't make a prior booking, but did find a restaurant with delicious food.
The kids club on a rainy day didn't have a lot of space and could definitely be expanded on and integrated better. It could be a destination kids club, vs an afterthought sqeezed into a double room.
Overall this resort is fabulous! And definitely deserves all the great reviews.

Pros:
Friendly and welcoming staff, always happy to be of assistance and engaging in conversations.
Comfy beds.
Great location for access to the Port (20 min walk) and the airport (25 min drive) and easy access to taxis/Bulla bus.
Cons:
Are positive reviews real??? Unfortunately let down by the claims to be a 5 star hotel. Looks like a prison wing between the rooms!
Awful pillows - some pillows flat and some bulky, no consistency.
The lifts smelt awful - stale smell of urine. Poor wifi, I could only get good coverage in the mornings otherwise cuts out during peak times and in the evenings.
The rooms are dated, grubby in some parts, more attention needs to be paid to cleaning and upkeep.
The pool looks dirty and the surrounding beach looks very uninviting!
We only booked to stay here due to other reviewers raving on about the kids activities, however, we found them to be average. There were inconsistencies with some of the activities and some were cancelled due to low uptake.
Very underwhelmed by the food, room service was poor and expensive. The Blu grill restaurant was unclean, birds flying around whilst we were dining and walking over table utensils - very off putting! Awful coffee and long wait for breakfast due to lack of staff and disorganisation.
I'm convinced housekeeping went through my luggage as I found a dirty pillow case cover in there!! Needless to say I did not leave any valuables in the room following that discovery.
Musty smell in room and bathroom and cockroaches in room!! We also noticed stains on dining chair. We regret paying for their dinning experience as we got turfed the Basilico Italian restaurant (which turned out to be nice but expensive) and the dinning tables were not on the water as promised. We were told this was due to the weather, however, we saw others dining at the said restaurant so perhaps they overbooked - would have appreciated some honesty. We also thought we were paying for an exclusive experience for the Fijian traditional dance and fire display as part of the dining experience - turns out anyone could have just turned up to watch it.

The room's amenities were amazing. Everything was incredibly clean and the staff was very accommodating. The restaurants at the resort were very good as well. The pool was very good as well.
The towel policy was a little inconvenient. Also, it would be nice if the minibar was stored instead of having to request for specific minibar items from room service.
