beautiful room and new sanitary
the tv wasn’t faced towards the bed so we couldn’t see anything and it was very nosy, so we heard children playing en running around all the time. furthermore the stay was super nice and the staff was friendly

Wonderful hotel, great location, lovely and extremely generous staff. They prepared some vegan breakfast just for me and helped me straight away with shortening my stay when I had to leave early unexpectedly.
The room was exceptional. 100% recommend

The hotel is run by a very committed and very friendly staff and you can feel that in the entire house. It is functional with a lot of charm. We felt very comfortable and nothing was missing.

Lovely place, lovely people

Good room Secure bike storage. Lots of restaurants close by
Procedure to obtain entry code a little bit fraught if on a cycle tour, but worked OK

The breakfast was brilliant. Such fresh rolls, freshly squeezed juice and smoky ham, just to mention some. And the staff were lovely.

It was typically Dutch and had lots of charm and history. The available breakfast was wonderful. Our room was very clean.
We missed not having bedside lights.

Great value for money beautiful rooms, old stately home
4.5
Its quirky with fantastic location in a small town not on the tourist map but should be for visiting Amsterdam and the coast as well as the town itself which is peaceful, clean and pretty.
TV is dated and should be replaced and a refrigerator would have been nice.
4.5
Lovely spacious room.
So much history in this beautiful building.
Really nice help-yourself bar, games, magazines, etc.
Friendly, helpful staff.

location was great and the room was clean

nice clean cosy hotel, very friendly staff. We enjoyed their small terrace very much. Breakfast was very healthy and well served
no airco in the room, our ventilator was very small and did not help during exceptionally hot summer days/nights. Although 35+ in the summer is really rare.

The decor and breakfast room was nice.
The bridal/large suite was missing a full mirror, a fridge and a bin. the bed was small and uncomfortable. Breakfast was confusing - we weren’t sure if we could order eggs or not. Very complicated check out process with confused bills - would be better to pay up front for the rooms, two of my bridal party had early flights and so weren’t able to pay before they left, meaning we had to.

Beautiful old building in the middle of Castricum. Very easy to get to the train, beach and fantastic bike tracks theough the dunes.

Friendliness and cleanliness and the cozy café. Location was perfect and so was breakfast !!

We had an enormous room, all the windows open so it was nice and fresh, super comfy bed, two showers and a huge tub, kettle to make delicious coffee in the morning. Breakfast was exceptional . Location was perfect, close to everything and very easy to find.
The church, which is right behind the property, rings it’s bells every half hour. We like to sleep with the windows open, so we kept waking up. Tried not to be annoyed and the bells do sound nice, just not when you are sleeping

lovely old building middle of Castricum. Rooms are very pretty and the bed was super comfortable! We only stayed one night, but everything was really nice. Only 20 minutes from Amsterdam by train!

Lovely and unique small hotel in a historic building with a great location in the center of Castricum, only a short walk from the train station. Very clean and well-appointed room. Tasty vegetarian breakfast. Bike rental arranged for us made exploring the beautiful nearby dunes and beaches very easy. Great Indian Nepalese restaurant across the street. When I forgot something in my room the host was very helpful in arranging to send it to me - very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice historical building next to nice church! Good breakfast and nice base to visit the beach. We enjoyed a good diner at nearby Le Moulin.
The matrasses where too soft and seem in need of replacement. That having said it didn't prevent me from having a good night sleep at all.
4.0
Nice bed
Quite noisy-single glass windows.
5.0
There was attention to details and care to make the guest experience even more cozy. You could help yourself to the coffee machine outside the room and store food in the refrigerator. There was a note with our name wishing us a good stay and a book for our baby.
A refrigerator in the room would be a great convenience to be added on future.
4.5
The luxurious breakfast, the staff making sure I felt at home, the wine offerings.
