Easy location with parking and large comfortable rooms. Very comfortable beds and great that check out is at 12 made for a relaxing morning. Breakfast was fantastic and good value. Staff throughout the stay were excellent x
Too hot - heating was on - fan in room not adequate - need better fans for the summer months - it is an historic building so great character.Once radiator turned off and window opened room cooled down- noisy road nearby but didn’t bother us too much.

Location
Noisy as near to road, water goes everywhere when taking a shower as the shower screen is too small

Staff and location were perfect. Fabulous breakfast.
We ate in the restaurant on one evening - great food, but sadly the waiter didn’t warn us about ‘last drink orders’ from the bar which closes promptly.

like the location of the property as it was placed where it is east to access a range of shops. The library next to the location was indeed needed and the train station near by is very useful.
This is not something I didn’t like but, I would have wanted the towel rail besting to come on and it did not what do ever for me.

This is a quaint historic hotel artfully fitted with modern amenities. The property is beautifully maintained.
The staff are exceptional and their breakfast is more than a typical English one.
The restaurant downstairs is a must do.
Breakfast portions - they are too generous.
My room did not have a fridge or a microwave. This was a bit of an issue.
Although there is ample car parking, it is shared by restaurant patrons and hotel guests and gets full everyday from 5pm onwards. I wish the property would cordon off a space reserved for hotel guests.

The food was brilliant the accommodation was poor, bed was very hard. We was in room 1 lots of banging and noise lots of people walking past room on creaking floorboards. Everytime someone opened a door down stairs in banged and our room shook. Would not of booked if I had realised we would be directly staying on top of restaurant as it was too loud. Carpets were filthy in room and hallway. Room smelt and so did hallway. No air con had a old electrical plug in noisy fan. Bathroom was the best thing about the room. Staff lovely and helpful. I would dine there again but would definitely not stay again or recommend to anyone.

Hotel is OK, rooms are clean and very spacious. Food is typically M&C over priced steak & chips
The car park. Operated by Europarks.
Issued my colleague and I parking tickets despite registering both vehicles on our registration forms on checking in. Had to write to Europarks to get the tickets cancelled, but according to their letter. Even as a guest, resident and paying customer. I am "Not Authorised to use the Carpark" perhaps the Innkeepers Lodge would like to comment?

Location great. Excellent standard of cleanliness in room and in hotel generally.
Meals in evening were very good with high standard of both food and service
Breakfast was slightly disorganised though the food itself was of a very high standard when it came
