Absolutely stunning location! Beautiful views all around. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Love the idea of the doggie treat jar and water, a perfect touch for the fur babies! Very comfortable beds, clean, warm room, check in was quick and easy, even allowed to check in early as we arrived earlier than expected. Shower was perfect, complimentary soap and shampoo smells great. Daily housekeeping a bonus. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and sweeteners left in the room for us. Enjoyed the walk down to, up and around the rocks. Perfect walking base, so many walks from the door.
Stair wells are a bit dark, could be better lit.

It's a great place to go and chill. We love the relaxed atmosphere. The meals we had there were all excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place in amazing surroundings
A bit of a mixed bag. Stopped here for 2 night first walked in to check in and it was as if they couldn't be bothered, booked this room.in January but was shoved in a hot atic room at the top with only a roof window which we couldn't open due to the rain, fan in the bathroom.kept us awake from 4am when we went to the toilet and it wouldn't go off for 1 hour and was so loud, dirty marks on towels. Second night found blood on a pillow case Ate here the first night and the staff was so rude and had no atmosphere shown to our table not asking if we wanted a drink nothing, pie meat was gristly couldn't eat it. Breakfast next morning was really nice. Ate here the second night and really enjoyed it but breakfast on the last morning was shocking cold food, hard bacon and sausage as if left out all night tomatoes was raw. Will be sending a email to the head office as my husband cut his toe in the shower on a really sharp bit. We spent over £500 here in two days we have expected more.

2 stay at the hotel in 2 weeks. Just as good as the first stay. No evening meals or breakfast as travelling long hours for work. Good clean room. Very friendly staff. Going again next week....

The location was fabulous with stunning views and walks literally on the doorstep.
Although my room faced the moors, I could not see any of the beautiful scenery as it was an attic room with a small high window and I could only see outside by standing on a chair on tiptoes.

Spectacular location with stunning views
Beds a little hard, but that's just my personal preference

Location is great for walking on Ilkley Moor and further afield. Short drive to the town centre where there are lots of restaurants and shops. Room was nice and shower good. Breakfast was nice. Service was excellent. Tea and coffee in the room was nice. Parking good
We were on the top floor, and the window was too high up to see out of, so we didn't have a view. The bathroom was cold as there was no radiator. The toilet seat was loose and kept falling off. The carpet needed vacuuming. The bed was really hard, so after a full day, hiking, it wasn't comfortable for lying on.

Room significantly exceeded our expectations, bar & restaurant likewise. Busy due to exceptionally good weather but staff coping well with efficient service.
Some need from maintenance in room but didn’t affect us.

The veggie breakfast was very good, the breakfast room is lovely with a real fire and wonderful old wood mantelpiece. There are old photos of Ilkley on the walls, with other artworks and a library section. Has beautiful views of the Cow and Calf rocks opposite and the valley below. The staff are very friendly.
It was very busy when I arrived, check in was at the bar so I had to wait for a while before I could get my key.

The rooms were modern, comfortable and clean with everything I needed to make my short stay a treat. There was ample parking and we enjoyed a full English breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Nothing, it was perfect for a short one night stay.

wonderful location on Ilkley Moor in a grand historic building. very comfortable and spacious room with huge comfortable bed. great hospitality in the pub, the breakfast with a view is a treat.
i was amazed that there was no Yorkshire bitter available at the bar, and the bedroom windows don’t fit properly so are very draughty and let in all the traffic noise.

A beautifully situated hotel with stunning surroundings. Friendly staff, beautiful food and good value for money.
Unfortunately we found the mattress to be extremely hard and didn’t have a good night’s sleep because of this.

great location
it felt that the staff where unhappy, the only member of staff with smile on there face was the maid on Sunday morning. as residents I expected the bar to be open on my return at 10.30pm, I was told that bar staff had cashed up and basically it was tough. breakfast was rushed. the staff seemed under pressure, just going through the motions.

bathrooms could have done with a bit of TLC, but they were still nice.
