Very friendly helpful staff.
Pleasant environs
Excellent breakfast
Bed was a bit too hard for me. And only a small space between bed and wall to get out. The bathroom was also very compact and could be tricky for some to manoeuvre in

It is beautiful old building but with modern renovation and it makes it look fantastic.
Everything was perfect, we stayed in small double (8) and we're pleased with it.
Breakfast and morning staff were amazing too!
It isn't that we didn't like it but just to note - small room, mean small.
There were few issues with check in and with order in evening but I hope it was one off error.

We were pleasantly surprised at the Kings Arms, the staff, the food, the ambience in the restaurant along with very friendly staff and the location. The room we had was of an adequate size, no complaints, as they are described as small.

The location for me was just what I needed.
The breakfast was good
No not water for 2 days
Woken up on its night at 10pm asking why I had not booked in at the sister hotel and believe it or not called the next night at 11pm asking when I was going to arrive and book in. I did not sleep at all the second night.

Excellent cooked breakfast.
We used to be able to choose cereal, toast , yoghurt etc as part of breakfast, and that seems to be no longer available. A bit disappointing.

The location was lovely by the canal .
Breakfast was very good and the lady serving us was fabulous .
Check in was chaotic and slow , I counted 5 times where the lady said oh the internet is terrible , we waited and waited , should have given us our key and sorted the paperwork later .
The room was cold and the heater didn’t work so we went out for dinner , on return to the hotel I went for a shower to find no hot water . Phoned reception no answer so I phoned the restaurant 3 times before it was answered , I was told we will reset it , try it again in an hour , not good enough . We had had a long day and an early start the next day . No follow up by staff to see if we had hot water , apart from the breakfast waitress nobody else appeared to care .

An amazing stay, really comfortable and beautifully decorated room.
We had dinner booked in the restaurant and the food and service was great, even though the restaurant was fully booked for valentines the staff managed to seat us a little later than originally booked which helped us out. Zac our waiter was very polite and professional, he is an asset to your establishment!
Would certainly recommend and will stay again if in the area.

Location and setting was loverly also we had a lovely room
Some staff very uninterested in there jobs. Food very mediocre. The lady the morning we checked out was amazing so friendly and helpful. The rest need to take a leaf out of her book wish I had a name. No beer as said delivery didn’t come well go and get it if you want happy customers.

This place is just fabulous! 5 stars to the people who was in charge of the decoration job here. A perfect way to decorate an old historic building like this. I was on a walk along the Grand Union canal. My room, number 12, was luxurious and with a very well sized and completely new bathroom. However the best memory from this stay was meeting Gail, who served me breakfast. A very charming woman who went out of her way to make me feel welcome. Every hotel should have a person like her in the staff. Since there were no other guests in the breakfast room we had along chat and she told me about the newly refurbishment.

Nice clean comfortable
The prices of drinks almost £10 for a pint and half Carling so we went to another pub less than a mile away it cos £5.80 for same drink know wonder the place was empty

Staff were pleasant, well heated room
Incredibly small room a little over 3M x3M with a king size bed. When my wife sat on the only chair I had to climb over the bed to get past. The bathroom was so small I couldn't turn enough to use the toilet roll holder, ended up holding the roll until I'd finished. When sitting on the loo my chest was just 10 cms from the sink. A larger person or someone with limited mobility could not use this toilet! NOT HAPPY!

There was no food that we wanted left on the menu

Room was fine. Staff helpful.
Past comments mention cleanliness of rooms. Ours was clean and tidy. However, when I used the pub toilet there was toilet paper stuck to the wall and shoved down the radiator.
