Great character building and amazing to be able to walk round the vineyard and the tour of the winery was a great added bonus to the stay.

My friend and I shared a twin room (the Richelieu) which was lovely. Its large windows overlooked a beautiful vista of row upon row of vineyards. It was a spectacular view from which to watch the sunsets.
Beds (twin) were very comfortable and the breakfasts were memorable with fresh croissants and baguettes served with bowls full of fresh fruit and yogurt plus granola and a cheese plate.
Our hosts were extremely welcoming and gracious—always very accommodating no matter our needs—an early breakfast or a private guided tour of the wine making process. Although at the height of their harvest season, our host graciously explained and showed us each part of the process.
This visit will remain in our memories forever for its stunning beauty and for the wonderfully friendly and gracious hosts and staff.

We had a lovely stay. It was quiet with a delightful rustic charm. The staff were extremely friendly and we were treated to private access to see how the Chateau’s own wine was made! Beautiful setting with a nice pool and surrounded by charming towns in the heart of wine country!
No Wi-Fi in the rooms, only in main areas of property.

The staff was wonderful and our room was lovely. A nice breeze with the oversized windows and the pool had nice sunshine. Breakfast was all set up for us at a table of our request. We were also able to have a guest refrigerator in the kitchen for things we wanted to keep cold. A bonus was there were Chateau Richelieau wines for us to drink at an extremely reasonable able price! Thank you staff❣

An absolutely gorgeous Chateau with amazing views of the vineyards!! The pool was amazing on very hot days and the location was perfect for sight seeing.
There was nothing I could fault, it was perfect with beautiful surroundings and strolls around the vineyards. The food at the local restaurant was delicious.

The staff made our stay wonderful, Sophia and Jan were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very spacious and grand and so peaceful looking out onto their extensive vineyard.
You actually have the run of the Chateau which was a really nice touch because it felt more of a home than a hotel. You can relax and use the TV in the magnificent lounge and help yourself to tea / coffee in the kitchen or the wine readily available in the fridge (small extra charge). Breakfast was plentiful and very French! The pool was a lovely addition and the free wine tour of their vineyards and winery was a lovely touch. Fronsac is a quaint French village with a lot of history and just 3km from Libourne, a bustling market town which we absolutely fell in love with!
On first appearance Chateau Richileau is a little tired from the outside and improvements such as lighting in the garden at night would really help and a few more sun beds around the pool would be nice.

This is a gorgeous property inside and out. Amazing sunset watching in the vineyard. Was nice to be able to have a table d'hote the night we arrived so we didn't have to worry about where we were going to eat. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was like having a private chateau :-).
This was just fine for us, but there are not a lot of staff around during the day. It's a bit more like a B&B than a proper hotel. Not much in Fronsac, but it's a short drive to Pomerol or St Emilion.

beautitfull location in the middle of wineyards, not far from Bordeaux, close to St. Emilion, very friendely staff.
Thank you to Laetitia and Silvia for hospitality and many information where to go and what to visit.

The location is great.
The building and surrounding vineyards excellent.
Swimming pool and breakfast great price/quality ratio.
You can relax at this place. We recommend to hire a car to explore the other vineyards in Fronsac, Pomerol and St Emillion.
Wifi should be better in every room. Its 2020.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect for us. The breakfast is small but adequate to start the day.
The weather wasn't on our side in late October. However the chateau in summer, I'm sure, would be brilliant. Due to work it was the only time we could get there.

The attention to detail with everything
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent Chef cooked a unique meal for us and waited behind for our late arrival. Great breakfast.
Wifi signal was poor and too slow to use.

Breakfast was very good. The rooms were large and the bathroom was modern. The facility was very clean and the staff were superb. We enjoyed visiting with the wine master and touring the facility. We would like to come back.
No WIFI in the rooms due to the thick stone walls. WIFI was available in the common living room.
