Spacious, very clean, excellent location in front of the Church!
4.5
Staff were friendly and efficient - took time out to chat. Restaurants excellent. Comfortable, big rooms - charming olde-worlde ambience. Room cleaned every day and several changes of linen over the two weeks of my stay.
Usual hotel pillows on the bed - not great.

Fabulous traditional hotel in the heart of beautiful Soller. Lovely comfortable and sizeable room, very clean. Aircon in room was well needed in July. Staff very helpful, particularly when my purse was stolen, lending me money for taxi back to hotel. Room at back of hotel, very peaceful with lovely views of the mountains.
I wasn't allocated the studio room I booked which had a terrace/balcony which I wanted specifically.. However I loved the room I did get, which cost less, and was still able to take in the views sitting next to the large window. On reflection as a single traveller it probably was wiser for me to be in main building anyway.

Perfect location, superb food and very friendly and helpful staff. The accommodation is spotlessly clean. We will return very soon!

This is an old three star city hotel with old-school charm, exactly what we were looking for. The room was very clean and the hotel's staff were helpful at all times. We enjoyed being in Soller's main square and at the hotel!

Fabulous location, the staff were very welcoming and friendly..
There wasn't a lift in the property and the stairs were very steep.

Fantastic location and excellent value for money for our group of 6 friends on a hiking holiday. Christian, the waiter and hotel receptionist, was incredibly helpful, even coming into work early to serve breakfast to our group before the advertised serving time,, as we were setting off on a long hike that day. Our "penthouse" apartment was simple, but comfortable, and absolutely fine for our needs. The breakfast was exceptional!

Fabulous location on the square in Soller. Incredible view of the church and mountains from my room. Great double glazing so its very quiet at night even though you're on the main square. Charming old fashioned hotel. Lots of character and very friendly. Would stay again and recommend to friends.
Can't think of anything. :)

Perfect location. Old fashioned but pleasant room. Comfortable beds. Clean and well-equipped bathroom. Great view from the window over the square.
Communication was poor. We were not told that the restaurant would be closed during our visit, which was annoying as the restaurant was one of our reasons for choosing this hotel. Most of the time there was no one in reception.

The hotel is in a lovely location, the staff were great and Soller is beautiful.

You’re paying for the location and that’s it. Breakfast was average.
My partner and I stayed at La Vila for four nights. It was memorable for all the wrong reasons. I don’t say this lightly - I’ve stayed in many, many hotels, some with fewer stars than the four stars this one claims to have - but between the room, staff, and owner, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
On arrival, I immediately noticed that the minibar in the room didn’t work (as in it was not cold, or even cool - it was not running). I initially tried a few things to troubleshoot, putting in the energy key card and switching plugs - no luck. When I flagged it to the staff, I was first asked, “Well, do you intend on using it?” (strange to be asked whether I wanted to use an amenity I paid for) before I was told that the minibar apparently “needed 3 hours to get cold” once the energy key was in. I left the room for the rest of the day. When I returned, the minibar still didn’t work. I asked if it could be replaced - nope. That was it - broken minibar. At this point the staff told me they could offer us a 10% discount on our stay, and I said I would speak with my partner about it. This was on the day we checked in.
In the days that followed:
- We noticed a dark brown stain on the white curtains (looked like dried blood)
- The shower head did not fit in the wall socket and when turned on, flew off and hit my partner in the face - the head broke off on contact (it had completely rusted off the connecting hose)
- We noticed a foul smell in the room, like eggs gone bad, which persisted despite us attempting to air out the room periodically by opening the windows
All of these issues were raised with the hotel staff. Upon checkout, we were again offered the same 10% discount and were told that that was all the hotel could do for us.
I e-mailed the hotel owner about our frustration and disappointment. Please find his e-mail responses in the screenshots below.
The owner threatened us with another charge if we posted a bad review. Cheers.

Location was great if you are visiting Soller as this hotel is located in the main plaza where the train and the big church are.
I got the studio that is located in a different building where you have to climb 3 levels of very narrow stairs in order to get to a very basic room with a very uncomfortable and noisy bed. The soap in the bathroom looks like it comes from a penitentiary or something. It doesn't feel at all like a 4 stars hotel. I would not recommend. 174€ a night for this?!

Charming old school decor, cute bar downstairs. Location overall was good, breakfast was served outside on the square, which was lovely. We happened to arrive during the carnival so the square was noisy at night, but the hotel staff sent us a warning ahead of time so we were prepared. :)

We arrived late at night and and felt lucky we had booked the first night at La Vila since not all hotels have check in untill 12 pm. After a good nights sleep we had a really nice (and included) breakfast at the town hall square. We stayed at the studio appartment just outside the mainhouse - a nice sized room with a balcony. Main house is also really beautifull!
The studio appartment was really good but in style a bit different from the mainhouse.
It didn’t bother us but for elderly and people with kids be aware that there is some steps.

location
we have 2 rooms and none of the air conditioners worked even though the property is advertised as having air-conditioning. it was stifling and impossible to open the windows due to mosquitos.
3.5
wonderful building, great location and fabulous food in the restaurant in the secluded and cool garden.
hotel needs to invest in more staff, only one person in reception who had also to wait on cafe tables, including breakfast and at the same time check guests in/out, near impossible at times. room cramped, no extractor fan in bathroom and air conditioning turned off after a day or so, believe broken but no communication from staff although they delivered a fan to room which worked well.

location
nothing really. iI hadn’t realised there wasn’t a lift so it was a struggle taking my suitcase to the top floor

very nice small family hotel, exceptional friendly service, fantastic location, very cozy for a small family or single.
2.5
Located in the heart of the town plaza it is idea to explore, it can get a little noisy
The lack of attention to detail. The interior looked and felt tired and disorganised, obvious measures to cost save lowered the perception of quality, not a 4**** standard.

great location nice and central
it’s quite a climb to the studio room!

Location excellent. Belle epoque style impressive. Very responsive staff. Breakfasts very good.
A shower would be better. The chair in the room felt a bit unsafe.

Right in the centre of Soller so really convenient for restaurants. We had a room with a balcony that had a lovely view of the mountains. Breakfast was included and you can choose from a few options, it was very generous in portion as well!
Our room was in a separate building opposite to the main hotel and it is up a long flight of stairs, one of the flats in the same building had dogs and occasionally there was loud barking.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the hotel itself has some charm with its authentic features. That said, the hotel could do with a refurb and on our floor, there was a bucket collecting a leak from the floor. Our room had an excellent view of the square, which is lovely. The shower was also good. The hotel itself is very central for restaurants, bars & shops.
The room was outdated and in need of some modernisation and the bed too firm for us. We found the staff surly. In terms of eating at the hotel, we only had breakfast. For a 4* hotel, we thought the breakfast was awful. The menu choice was very poor - we had expected a fresh selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, breads, ham, cheese. What we received (which came all at once) was a bowl of sliced fruit and a plate of toast (which was white, processed bread) with too much-smoked salmon and soft cheese. There was nothing original, or elegant and it definitely didn't take a chef to produce this! In addition, the amount the hotel charged for our stay was more than Booking.Com had stated - the hotel staff didn't agree when we queried the bill, advising their amount was correct. This issue is being looked into.
