Lovely room, awesome views, gorgeous breakfast and wonderful hosts. The bed was super comfy, very luxurious and relaxing, hugely enjoyable stay many thanks!
The only suggestions I have are very minor - a little fridge in the room would have been awesome, rather than going outside the room to the shared milk fridge for tea etc, and a rubbish bin in the main room would be great (I could only find a bin in the bathroom). Other than that, perfect :-)

My wife and I stayed just for one night and our stay have been great. Our room was very comfortable and has a great view.
Mick and Karen was a great host. The room rates includes breakfast and if you go for the big breakfast, you will not be disappointed, we went for small breakfast but even that was excellent. I will definitely recommend this place..

We stayed here for one night and we enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts are really nice, they help you with everything plus they serve a lovely homemade breakfast. Everything was very clean and cosy, they also have a quiet and beautiful garden. The location is also really convenient, just a few minutes from the main street with shops and restaurants.

Lovliest hosts, an amazing breakfast and stunning few from our room

The breakfast was excellent - Mick is passionate about his food and it shows. His home baked cookies in the biccie tin were too too moreish.

Mic makes a delicious breakfast and the coffee was some of the best we yad in the country! Both hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Mic also gave us a ride to the bus stop with our luggage and told is he would of picked us up from there as well! Property is a safe 10 min walk to the main street/shopping and dining area of town, so very convenient
Bedroom walls were a bit thin (could hear your neighbors)

Nikau Lodge is a lovely place to stay in Kaikoura. Karen, Mick and Jaz go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The cooked breakfast in the morning was superb, as was the location. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean with an amazing view of the mountains. The best hotel / bed & breakfast that I’ve stayed in in recent years :-)
Nothing 😃

Fabulous view from the Seal Room (complimentary upgrade) which was so nice as we like a wine before heading out to dinner. Good off street parking and wonderful cooked breakfast from Mick. Karen very helpful with sourcing a meal with free pick up/return...so we could relax. Very convivial place to stay .
Nothing.

Maybe some peppermint tea in the room but otherwise perfect- homemade cookies were a real treat 😊
