I did not sleep there at all
I checked out within an hour
Due to terrible kitchen midhaps, raw and dangerous food handling
Poor everything
In restaurant with food rewarming, frozen inside, reheated etc

View over Plettenberg Bay is beautiful and simply has to be seen. Very good breakfast, steps bit of a problem, access to the beach is just over the road. Way down from the tourist area so quiet with fantastic views.
You really need a car although the hotel had a efficient taxi service which was readily available at very reasonable rates to and from Platt

Nichts :)

Super Lage , traumhafte Aussicht auf die Bucht.
Es gab nix auszusetzen .

This stay was located right next to the ocean and the view from the hotel restaurant was beautiful. The room itself was very nicely decorated and quite spacious - it had everything we needed. It was definitely one of our favourite stays along the Garden route.

The view was extraordinary, you can't help but stare at the sea from the dinning room for a long long time! Recommend to book with breakfast, the food is good and you can have it in front of the sea.
Safe parking, all gated and well lit.
All the staff that we interacted with were always very nice and always happy to help - service on breakfast, booked us a table in a local restaurante, tips for the area and everything you can imagine.
We know the country suffers with scheduled power cuts, but it was great that the hotel had a generator, so we had eletricity at all times.
Amazing place, highly recommend and hope to be back very very soon!

It was a late booking so we didn't have a view but the room was well appointed.

Some positives: The service was great, and there were some standout staff (Siya at reception and Zulu who waited on us in their restaurant were both friendly and helpful). The location was also good.
However, my room (B2) was below the kitchen, so it was quite noisy early in the morning. I'm not sure if it was due to loadshedding, but the lights in my bathroom flickered a lot (while the lights in my parent's room were fine).
I cannot say that it was a luxury experience, definitely due to the facilities. The bedding quality was not luxurious. If this were a 3-star hotel, I would think it was fine. But the quality of the room was not worth the price I paid.

The hotel is beautifully positioned on Robberg beach with incredible views. The room was large, comfortable and very clean with a lovely big bed.
There is secure parking behind gates for those travelling further and not wanting to unpack their car.
We were greeted enthusiastically by the manager and shown to our room. He was the only staff member who seemed sure of his role.
The staff seemed to be in training and service, especially at supper, was poor. The guests next to us waited 15 minutes to be offered their first drink. Our waitress was very unsure of how to serve drinks and food and we definitely got the impression she was an intern. We felt the quality of food at dinner was average and would not recommend eating dinner at Robberg lodge. Breakfast was fine.
We recommend guests request a room away from the generator. While it is fantastic to have power during load-shedding, the generator noise can disturb your sleep at 5am.

Even though I knew our room was at the back, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful surroundings and vegetation visible from our balcony. Our bedroom was very spacious and the bathroom had everything we could possibly need.

Very large room with balcony overlooking the ocean .Staff very hospitable .Excellent breakfast
No emergency light in room until asked for after back up generator failed first night do no hot water to shower and three hours in pitch black room .Dinner menu identical night after night Soup of the day always buttersquash..We informed in advance we are vegetarians but chef not informed so offered same dish night after night We spoke to the chef and asked to make something different so on the third night he made the same overcooked pasta in same tomato sauce just changed the spinanch to mushroom .Delicious lemon meringue desert but night after night? Also not forewarned half board dinner is entree and main course desert not included .When I pointed this out the assistant manager he agreed not to charge for desert as compensation for electric problem .Marvellous hotel if you eat dinner elsewhere

From the moment I arrived, all the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. There was never a dull moment, and I appreciate that they go over and above to make sure you are happy. The view of the sea was breathtaking, and I must say, the students doing their internship there was so lovely and fun. A big thank you to Emihle. She was so helpful and always there when I needed assistance. But honestly, everyone there was excellent 💕
Only thing I was not a fan of was the amount of times the generator would switch on and off and on and off again. But this is South Africa 🤷🏾♀️

Staff responsible for kitchen & cleaning is kind, the breakfast is good and the view from the balcony of the hotel is beautiful
We’ve booked a standard room and received the room in the cellar below the kitchen which was very loud and not clean (hairs & dust). After reclamation we were able to change rooms but only by getting a downgrade into a room with no electricity for the same price. Other rooms are even worse because you can hear the electricity generator. After checking out receptionist Sia made fun of us for being sensitive to noise and did not give us any compensation for the cheaper room.

Fantastic location next to the beach good food on site which was inexpensive

Food
Room has ants, no windows in the bathroom for ventilation. GOWS don't get changed and towels, you must keep asking them for new towels.Their workers makes noise in the morning, you wake up even when you don't want to.They gave us dirty iron to iron our clothes.their kitchen unit not friendly for short people.

The all 3 rooms were spacious, warm & inviting.
The bathrooms were clean & easy to use.
The balconies were a nice touch to offer some of the awesome fresh air.
There were lots of ants, which got into some of our suitcases as well as into the welcome drinks decanter (Port).
The dinner was expensive for what we got.
The team were clearly short-staffed.
Breakfast was limited, especially for guests that don't eat pork & or beef.
Accessing the resort with a trailer is difficult & signage leading to the reception should be improved to avoid confusion.

Breakfast was great. Lots of options. Staff is very friendly and the service was great.
Hotel needs a touch TLC. Carpets in the hallway seems a bit dirty. Rugs in the room needs a clean. Better coffee facilities in the room would be great.

Breakfast lunch and dinner can be tacken on a deck over looking the Robberg beach which is possibly the best beach in South Africa. The view is sublime and the water teems with bird life and is framed by distant mountains. Amazing!
Not much!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It feels like it could be very luxurious if it was kept a bit better. The restaurant / lounge area is immaculate though.
The room we stayed in doesn't seem very well maintained. The floor is lifting up, the bath silicon is coming lose, the kitchenette is all swollen, drawers don't open and only had 1 glass and 1 plate. I feel like a little bit of maintenance would go a long way. There were also ants everywhere in our room.

location was great, hotel was quaint and had a nice vibe to it
the generator wasn’t working when we were there at all and we had long hours with no electricity - not acceptable for a hotel at this level
