Very helpful staff. 24/7 hot drinking water, coca tea and free fruit. Good location
The breakfast is overpriced. They need to be persuaded to turn on the heater. The hot water is barely warm.

Really nice hotel for the price, great value for money, friendly staff. They will store your bag for you while you go to Isla del sol as well.

The room has a view of Lake Titicaca at a bargain price. All staff were friendly and helpful. This is a good choice for the budget traveler.

We stayed in this hotel two times before and after hiking the Isla del Sol. I rated this as being an excellent hotel after our first stay because of the great location between bus station and the port and very close to the center, one of the best breakfasts we had while travelling, the warm room and the hot shower. All this made this hotel an excellent choice and there was nothing to complain about.
However, now after having stayed there a second time I think even more highly of Hotel Utama because they went out of their ways to assist me when I had forgotten my EBook reader in the hotel room. They found it after I had checked out and managed to send it by bus to La Paz where I was staying then. This involved countless phone calls with the hotel in La Paz because it wasn't easy to deal with the bus company.
All in all, this is an excellent hotel that offers great value for money. And if you should have any problem you can definitely count on them.

Great breakfast, plenty and with lots of variety: coffee, juice, eggs, fruit, pancake, bread, ham, cheese, jam, butter, cereal, milk, yoghurt
Great value for money
Very friendly owners
Ideally located between bus station and port.
Showers are warm but not hot.

The price was great. The wifi worked in my room. It was quiet but I was not here during a busy time.
Breakfast is served until 9. I walked downstairs at 835 and saw that the dining area was still open. The man that checked me in came out of the kitchen right after I walked downstairs. I stepped out front for 5 minutes. When I came back in the door to the breakfast area said closed. I asked if I could get breakfast still. The same man said no. I said but I still have time. Again he said no the kitchen was closed. If you stay here get to breakfast early.
My room was quiet because the hostel was not busy. I heard people coming up and down the stairs throughout the day. Had it been a busy time, I imagine I would have heard them all night.
I am pretty sure the mattress is made of straw. Enough said.
Also, do not touch the shower head! It will give you a shock!

Good location. Cheap room.
The staff was not friendly at all, seemed really tired of her job.
Room felt a bit dirty and the bed was horrible as well as the pillow. Didn't clean the room during the day.
Expensive breakfast.

Sunny, warm interior. Lovely view of the town. Very friendly desk clerk. Our room was a bit cold. but the manager came and turned on the heat for us in the room.
I’m not sure if the hot water wasn’t working, or if I didn’t wait long enough- but it was brisk.

it has good wifi which is why I booked here bc I needed to work during my stay, the location is close enough to town, they have free bananas and crackers.
it needs some seriously love, it felt so dirty I wouldn’t dare walk barefoot in my room. upon checking in, the bathroom was so smelly, it made the whole room stink. it must be the pipes because the smell didn’t go away my entire stay. the walls are super thin so you will here the family in the room next to you.

Big clean room. Free water, tea and snacks. Great breakfast. Nice staff.

Welcoming staff, and a warm atmosphere. It was a nice breakfast, compared to others we’ve had in Bolivia. We could leave our bags a couple of hours after check out, appreciated.
The walls and doors in Bolivia is often thin, so theres always some noice between rooms etc. You just have to think about that, in releation to yourself and others.
