Threatened by the hotel manager and over charged my Amex card. Asked me to pay the booking.com commission. My family and belongings detained until I agreed to pay the booking.com commission.
Booking.com should not send anyone to this hotel. I will be taking this matter seriously and demand full refund

The greeters were amazing. They were very friendly and accommodating. They brought in another bed to fit the entire family.
One of the bed's mattress was very hard.

Beautiful location, very tranquil, 5 star service, comfortable and home like, with excellent food
Only issue that was not a problem for us as we had a driver, was that it was located up a very steep hill and distant from Kandy

very friendly staff in bungalows, beautiful territory, amazing sunsets and funny monkeys. Smooth payment process is via booking.
The room in bungalows is required renovation, the bathroom is not good.
Food is not very tasty and waiters are very slow.

led by the manager Gayan Suranga ,Prassanna,Samantha and the ornithologist Anurudda, who made my stay a most enjoyable one.

We had use of 2 bedrooms, a lounge and dining room in a 4 bedroom bungalow forming part of the Amaya Hills Hotel, but a short complimentary shuttle ride from the main hotel. The 2 butlers servicing the bungalow were incredibly friendly and helpful as were the managers and staff at the hotel.
The bungalow was on a busy road and traffic noise, especially busses and hooting started at around 5:30 am
The picture on Booking.com of what I believed to be the bungalow with a private pool was in fact the Spa and communal pool.

A great place surrounded by beautiful nature. Large and beautiful territory for such a boutique hotel. Great and helpful staff who go above and beyond for you. The hotel is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos, a great choice.

An excellent option which for some reason doesn't get the same love as the nearby sister hotel the Amaya hills. It's very comfortable and also comes with a friendly butler. The rooms are well appointed for the stay. It feels like a comfortable and cozy home. We had a family suite which came with two rooms. You have the option of dining in room or you could do the buffet dinner or breakfast at Amaya hills. The dinner and breakfast was great with a good choice of variation. Transfer is included as well. If you are staying for 2 nights, definitely try the spa services and the hanthana hiking experience.
Nothing to say here

Amazing helpful staff, exceptional service. Beautiful garden and surrounds, really enjoyed the many choices available for breakfast.
Maybe replace single use plastic products with pump pack containers

excellent service from staff, especially Suranga.
it is part of the larger Amaya Hills hotel so we were able to use all their facilities, whilst the villa was very private

This is an older style planter's bungalow and these buildings are roomy and well designed for the environment and we basically had use of the whole bungalow during our stay (e.g. bedrooms, bathroom, dining, lounge and access to a kitchen area with fridge and drinks). There is a lovely pool area although the water was a little cold as the weather was a bit cool in the hills at this time. The gardens and the views from the property were beautiful. The bungalow and staff are managed by Jaliya who provided an excellent and helpful service at all times. The property is owned by the Amaya Hotel up the hill and a courtesy bus was also provided if you wished to make use of the services and facilities there. Tuk tuks and cars are also readily available to take you down to Kandy or Peradeniya for shopping and sight seeing. A spa is available on site. We also had a truly amazing Sri Lankan breakfast banquet in the garden on one occasion and the meals were good.
Nothing of any note. We were the only guests staying (3) for most of the time but there were other bedrooms so I wondered about the situation if there were other guests staying at the same time. It would be best to have the bungalow to yourself and it would be a great place to book for a larger family than ours or a group of friends. Some of the spa charges (e.g. sauna and steam room) were pricey but there were some massages available that were good and provided better value for money.
