safe parking for the motorcycle, friendly staff, 1st floor looked good.
the room we had (without airco) had a lot of Dead Mosquito's against the wall, all in their own puddle of blood (blood they got from other people). the walls where dirty, paint was missing, and there where big moisture stains. so it wasn't cleaned in a long time. the fan was not installed correctly, so it made a lot of notice and movement when it's on the highest setting.
strange was that the bed and floor was perfectly clean.

A nice and simple place to stay. Great if you are looking for an authentic room and quiet place. Wifi worked decently well. Nice view and easy walk to the beach - although note that the beach has a fair bit of plastic on it. Beautiful sunrise though and good swimming. Staff were nice and usually helpful. Breakfasts were good and extras were inexpensive. If you don't mind staying a bit further away from downtown and taking cheap cabs, you will feel like you get your own space/sanctuary and add some commute time every day, while savings a fair bit of money.
Note that English is not really spoken here also that AC costs extra. There are no real restaurants around the property but if you download Yango you can easily take a cab for $3 to several places.

Great and helpful stuff. When I was a bit sceptical how to travel as a solo female, Ruth took the time to explain to me where to travel and how. Everybody of the stuff was very nice.
Great location, 300m from the beach. Enclosed quarter, so it's safe. Restaurants close by.
Far away from the city center and the other sights (up to one hour by taxi).
3.0
Close to the beach, but a very run down and old property. The AC wasn’t working and staff wasn’t that friendly.
A very run down place. Def needs some upgrades.

I like the place as you hear the waves from the ocean.
It was horrible and terrible attitude of an old woman who’s never been happy with her life or Just she hates me because I am asian 😏😣🤧 Rude character for an old one😬🙄

Loved the location, it's next to the beach in Yoff, possible to go and eat some delicious grilled Fish in just 5 mins.
Breakfast was very nice with great variety of jam
Owner and staff helps in anything
Bathroom (water didn't drain in the shower)
Price (expensive for 1 person compared to the value,, but unfortunately that is what I experienced all over Senegal if I compared prices with East and South African countries)

Staff and owner were incredibly welcoming, friendly and had great recommendations. Ruth got us in touch with an amazing guide. Yoff is a great area, away from the busyness of downtown but nonetheless accessible. Transfers, bus tickets were organised. Ground coffee and baguettes with butter and jams was a simple but great breakfast.

Located close to Yoff beach, away from the bustle of Dakar but close enough to visit.
Wonderful staff, good breakfast, very clean and very safe.

all the staff at this hotel are very honest, helpful and friendly; always ready to help with a smile;
another great aspect the desk was manned 24/7; very helpful.
my morning breakfast was simple but very tasty and filling;
my room was basic but it had everything i needed for my 4 nights stay;
the internet worked well, as and when i needed it;
this hotel is in a safe neighbourhood; so walking around and coming back before 10pm was not a concern at all;
enough power sockets for all my electrical gadgets;
this hotel does to and from airport transfer.
the choice of good restaurants was an issue for me;
luckily one of the members of staff, Issa, knew of an excellent restaurant where i pretty much ate each day.
very careful in planning transportation in Dakar; the traffic jams are horrendous; the taxis are expensive as Africa goes.

The swiss owner and some staff speak english french german staff are pleasant and helpful clean efficient service great breakfast i never give a 10 but here they deserve it easy to find beach view from my buget room with out side bathroom and double bed inside outside area for sitting seem best bang for your buck .the maps.me location is the one closest to the beach.....
The city of Dakar taxis can get aggressive

Good place to escape from the city. Can meet lots of interesting people. Small garden nice for breakfast. Sound of
crashing waves really lovely.
Let me stay a few extra hours in the room as I had a very late flight out. Lovely Amadou gave me the chance to try the local Senegalese tea- delicious. Ruth knows everything you could wish to know and can help with questions big or small. Lots of books here in French German and English mainly. Walking along the beach you can find tasty fish at different places. Lots of action on the beach as the guys do incredible fitness training in the evenings!
I managed to get taxis into town for 2000 or 2500... just walk away if they ask a lot more. Btw, India Gate restaurants in town do good vegan food!
Got bitten by bedbugs...! They are so itchy.. staff were concerned and suggested Aloe Vera for the bites. They knew there had been some problem this season with this, suggested that tourists brought them in... maybe possible...yet 2 long nights in a 4 person cabin bunk bed = I didn't get a single bite!

Ruth and her team were so very helpful, nothing was too much trouble from arranging taxis to helping me change money. The guest house was very comfortable and extremely clean.
THANK YOU RUTH AND STAFF🙏
Everything was excellent!

The manager, Ruth was so helpful & friendly & speaks English & French. She was able to arrange airport transfer at a late hour, I felt very safe with her driver of choice, instead of a random taxi driver. Cost 25,000CFA for trip.
Good location away from the city, fresh sea breezes to help combat the stifling heat & humidity. I should have paid extra for air-conditioning though.
They cooked a lovely Senagalese meal for me. The beach at the back is covered in rubbish, but is still lovely to walk along.
It is very secure behind gated walls.
For budget accommodation everything was excellent.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. They helped me a lot and made my stay there comfortable. The neighbourhood was really safe so I could easily walk around and go everywhere I needed to. As a solo female I appreciated that.

next to the beach
fairly easy to find
place is clean
at first owner is replying fairly fast and give accurate informations
hot shower with good water pressure
was a lot of books in French , German and English, not sure if we could book exchange, but great if we could but didn’t have the opportunity to ask sadly …
mosquitoes net provided above each bed but didn’t need to use them
lovely place for food about 5 mn walk (Lalla Beach )
was noisy as they were going some repairs on both days I was there way past 7pm so relaxing after a long day and before going for dinner wasn’t an option.
breakfast was including however only selection of hot drinks and bread with jam was offered to me … no cereals available. so skipped breakfast
main concern for me, I felt very I welcomed and actually left after 2 days. Owner was very arrogant and seemed not to value any feedback nor her client ( we are just money cows ) staff were equally not the most welcoming however one did try to redeem himself and was very helpful in finding me a taxi when I left
payment is cash only ( may have missed this info but can’t recall seeing it anywhere )
a bit far from Almadies / ferry terminal / N’Gor ( not walkable distance )
bed are extremely soft
I personally wouldn’t recommend nor would ever booked there again, however the attractive price is a good selling point as in Dakar very limited options available in this price range. Extremely disappointed in the attitude of the staff and owner. never felt that unwelcomed anywhere in my travels ( travelling at least 6 months a year every year for the past 8 years )

Very helpful staff. Nice quiet location, close to beach.

Best place that I stayed in all of Senegal so far. The room was extremely clean and made so no mosquitos can get inside, we didn't even have to use the nets. The bathrooms had hot water, which is rare in Senegal. A lot of places to put our baggages, a beautiful porch area and roof top. Great location and best of all, great value for our money.
Nothing.
