It is a beautiful location! The view is absolutely wonderful. The onsen looks out over the ocean, and the water felt amazing.
The rooms are old but comfortable, and we had a great view. The staff were attentive to some specialized needs and provided extra padding for my father’s futon due to his sore back.
The meals were perfect! It was my parents’ first time at a Japanese inn and they loved the wide selection of food. Dinner was delicious, and for breakfast the staff took the time to translate what was on the menu for my parents.
The staff were all lovely and helpful- I think this is a really great value for a hotel close to many attractions in Shiraoi and Noboribetsu.
There wasn’t anything in particular! The building is a little older, but that adds to the character in my opinion. We stayed in early April, so the temperature wasn’t too hot or too cold.

The hotel is situated beside the sea and had a picture perfect view when strolling outside. The dinner and breakfast was impressive. Highly recommended. The outdoor onsen was amazing
too.
We were given bean pillows which was abit difficult to sleep on. The aircon is the old 70s unit where its abit warm. The timing of breakfast, dinner and transport was extremely strict so you need to follow closely.

Amazing hotel! The food is fantastic, definitely get the dinner. The room was really spacious and with a great view over the sea. The onsen also has an outside bath, which feels really special at night. Staff were very friendly and organised to pick up our bags from the station early and then come later to pick us up. Would highly recommend

The dinner and breakfast was amazing, WAY bigger and better than I'd expected. The staff were very pleasant and accomodating, they offer shuttle bus service and helped me organise the best time to take it during check out. It was my first onsen experience here, and there was barely anyone when I went so very comfortable. Since it was summer, I recommend the outdoor onsen.
The hotel itself is a little old, and despite having a filter for the window, somehow some bugs still got into the room - it was summer so I get it. And some areas could've been cleaner. The toilet had a smell, something like newly furnished paint? And the pillow was a little hard, but it didn't end up being a problem for me.

Food was excellent, good variety and quantity.
The old Japanese ryokan style atmosphere (maybe from the 70s), a bit old and used but it was good. Very much liked how they disposed the shoes in the morning!
no air conditioning in the room! it would have been good to have it just after the onsen to cool down quickly.
In the end, it was ok without it at night even tough it was a hot summer day! a little gesture for the planet

The view, the onsen and all the wild animals that we encountered
It is a bit isolated and it was difficult to communicate to the staff in english

Hot springs, friendly staffs
Very old, too much food

Breakfast was adequate. Traditional cuisine. Staff was very accommodating to our late arrival and was moderately sufficient in speaking English.
This inn was perfect for us as our first experience of hot springs and staying in a traditional tatami floored room.

Everything was great. From the food provided, the onsen, to the helpful and friendly staff.
The price was super reasonable. The quality of food was far more beyond expectation.
