Amazing, relaxing, pampered, spoilt and we don't want to go home.

Ralph and Jilo were exceptional hosts, helping us with anything we needed and more. The location has the best views over the water, set in a serene garden. We had many wonderful meals in the dining area overlooking the water, watching the locals fish at night. t was such a peaceful place that allows you to recharge your body and soul. We came mainly for diving (which was awesome), however this residence was beautiful to come back to and relax. You even have a view from in the pool overlooking the sea with a drink in hand! You can walk along the beautiful beach to town, 30 mins away, but why would you leave here when it has everything. We highly recommend J and R. Thank you for having us.

Disappointing,owner/operator's lack essential skills to operate such an establishment.

The Beach

The attitude upon arrival , the failures of owners to professionally resolve and promptly deal with maintenance issues that put the room we had paid for completely offline and placing us in a shitty dungeon under the dining area unnecessarily as there was another penthouse available identical to what I had paid for, offering me an insulting minimal value to reduce me to this dungeon room from the paid for penthouse suite before forcing me to have to complain and demand to be moved to another Ressort, thank God one of the owners had the common sense that this was necessary. Owner operators of J&R lack the professional skills required to operate a high end accomodation establishment and lack the understanding of what is required and expected and should be included to maintain a rating anywhere what they are claiming. Despite knowing full well of all of the shortfalls of the following establishment the following owner operators failed to make any attempts to compensate and or encourage our desire to want to stay with minor facilities that where all extra $$. in short , " poor service ,poor resolution strategies , over emotional owner operators , lacks available facilities to utilise for a high end hotel in a very remote Ressort unless u want to pay extra,, Owners need to re-assess there situation and hire a well trained manager as they lack essential skillset to manage guest related and quality control of guests experience. Very sad and disappointed.

Don't think about it, just visit!!

This has been the most genuinely surprising, relaxing, amazing, gorgeous place we have ever stayed at. There are not enough words to describe the beauty of this place and how it just makes you feel. Everything is just so well thought of and we'll maintained. The staff is so amazing and considerate, Michael the bar tender is an awesome person, they're all just really really great!! Ralph and Jilo are the most honest, kindest, funniest and entertaining hosts we've met during our travels, we loved them and everyone so much we extended another 2 days and wish we could just extend indefinitely lol. This is definitely our go to destination from now on every year we come to Bohol, it literally checked every check box we had as travelers. if you come to Anda and do not stay here, you're missing out on a very wonderful and truly outstanding (in every sense of the word) experience.

The fact that we can't stay here for ever!!!

Beautiful and quiet place to unwind

beautiful!! and very quiet. Great for relaxing. Flexibility - restaurant always open, eat there or on your balcony; pool always open; different options for sitting and relaxing on the grounds; decent food; very comfortable beds

One night chef had day off - waited an hour and a half for our food

Location was beautiful, overlooking gorgeous sandy beach and close to center of anda Food is amazing and fresh. Great flavour and affordable Owners are super friendly and so helpful to all of us. 10/10 recommend

Exclusive & Happy stay with good access to clean beach

Very nice, exclusive (few guests only) and well planned resort with a great pool and dining/breakfast area, both with sea view. The beach is cleaned every morning. And the best are the welcoming and very friendly owners, most of the time available for a chat and recommendations. the food was also very good, and there are German specialities :)

Probably not the best choice for a stay with small children.

Joli & Rolf were wonderful hosts and food was top notch!

Peaceful location, food, and Joli & Rolf!! The pool and dining view! Shuttle service was great!

Poor internet. Would have been nice to be able to use kayaks!

An unexpected GEM in Bohol!

J&R Residence exceeded all our our expectations. While it might be a little tricky to get to (we arrived independently and did not avail the airport transfer), it is truly a beautiful place. Jilo, (the J) was exceptionally hospitable. As were all of the staff! Very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The food in particular was a highlight. Having access to the beach was also amazing, especially for the stunning sunsets.

The wifi wasn't always reliable (but to be expected). We embraced being disconnected in such a beautiful setting though!

Beautiful Place

I absolutely loved the panoramic view—overlooking the sea. In addition, loved also the plants and the coconut trees J&R Residence had—so relaxing. Lastly, the room we are in is beyond my expectation—very comfy to stay and the owner is very accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommended property! :)

When back in the area - this will definitely be my choice Nr. 1.

We have liked almost everything. It's s beautiful and very well equipped place. Very nice restaurant, lots of choice. Reading the drinks menu it's clearly visible owner's preference - quite wide choice od beers. Even well served Weizen! Great! However the wine menu is few levels below the standards of the Residence. My maybe the only suggestion is to extend the wine list significantly. For wine lovers there is hard to find anything "drinkable". :D
